I’ve never seen anyone use these kind of settings with this pedal. Wampler released a video going into detail about the bass knob on the Euphoria. I leave the bass knob all the way down at all times but I also use the crunch setting with the gain and tone around 11 o clock. Great overdrive tone with my strat into a deluxe reverb.
I dont know who and why labeled this D style pedal. In the old times, when this was called Ecstasy, it was just labeled "natural, transparent and touch responsive" which all apply. Compared to pedals like BB preamp or say TC MojoMojo, this is pretty bright pedal. The bass controll is needed to be understood, as it is in the gain loop (in the soft clipping feedback loop), so the higher the gain knob is, the more the bass knob do. And as all Wampler pedal, I have ever tried, all knobs are usable in all extreme settings. The problem with this pedal for me is, that it can be tweaked to soooo many different voicings, that I wish it is has presets :D :D :D .
Yes Yes. The bass control. (as everyone says) I wish you could redo this, knowing the bass control. Either way, great work and thank you!!! Your tone is wonderful!!
Thanks for the video. I much enjoyed it. Beyond that, you're one of the few who amaze me by getting a nice tone out of a Fender guitar. With most, it's a ratty, trashy, spiky, thin, harsh, rattley, tin metallic, sound that's like finger nails down a blackboard for me. But there is that small number who get a heavenly tone out of Fender guitars, and it always leaves me in awe when I encounter it. That was some beautiful playing. I'm bookmarking it to come back later on and watch to try to see what you're doing to pull such a nice tone out of the instrument. I suspect it has much to do with how you use your right hand.
The playing was stellar. But I also liked the Euphoria. Bought one. Like it a lot. But yes, it grabs my attention when someone plays a Fender guitar in a way that doesn't grate my ears and isn't painful to listen to. Many are able to hurt their tone in the mix enough that it isn't painful. But there is that rare few who get beautiful tone out of such guitars. And it isn't the Euphoria pedal that's bringing that about. But it is a nice pedal, and I'm glad I've got one. I like it a lot. Hopefully that clears it up.
Just wanted to thank you very much. I was looking for the exact same thing as you in terms of sound. I really liked the settings you have used with the gain down and the bass knob up - it really gave that kind of thick dark dumblish sound that I was after. And the difference the pedal made to your clean sound was really noticeable. I am buying this pedal. Thank you.
Robben Ford mainly uses a Tele these days, but he’s also used Gibson ES, hollobodies, Les Pauls, Fender Esprite, and some old Epiphone ES guitars. Those are just the ones I’ve seen him play. I’ve never seen him use a Les Paul irl, but I know that he occasionally uses one.
I used a Euphoria for Dumble tones for years. I put the bass at 3.00, treble at about 1-2.00 and gain on about 3.00. I now use the Dude, which has the fatness/girth, but it lacks the gain of the Euphoria. The settings I used on my Euphoria worked with my 335, Les Paul, and both of my PRSs through a Princeton.
That smooth setting is what I'm going for, sounds amazing, great job,was ,looking at this pedal or an OCD,for strats this pedal is magic but have you ever tried this pedal with a distorted amp using humbuckers?
was about to let it go( its expensive!), but decided to hold on , cause its very versatile, and obviously needs time! Whats wrong with people, everyone is always in a hurry!? Your demo is different with the Jazzy Clean approach, which I very much like!!!!!!
We can't always have our way but if I could have my way I'd swap out the Rosewood for a maple do the whole thing over again and edited it down side-by-side each tweak. James on guitar this is a great video
Great video and very informative. I recently sold my Euphoria V2 and had instant sellers remorse. Wondering if I should buy the same pedal again or if there is a better alternative in your opinion (Timmy and Greer lightspeed come to mind).
Thanks! Actually i mean to test the timmy and will look at the other you mention, but to me the euphoria is just an irreplaceable pedal so far. Such high quality sound, good flexibility and a couple of great sweet spots in there... sorry, you prob didn’t want to hear that! 🤓
I've got a Euphoria and a Timmy clone , the Euphoria has greater tones but the Timmy is really transparent and makes your tone sound more ........ 3D ish I guess .
loots o taalkkk!!!!! butt persevierence fellowshipmentnesses, tha glassyness mucho prevearsve me not at the uutmosszt sexuabillity no: mucho gusto in the bedal: BASS with my strats, control Wampler William, e´Brians life, Ecco is finnish shoes, Euphoria is finnish blues, si! Parlare... ecco......

Interesting! Thanks for that, good to know 👍🏼
Presets for this pedal are magic (in the form of a magic marker).
Here's the thing about Dumble Amps, everyone talks about them as if they've played one.
Thank you still for making me keep this pedal, its a wonderful tone sculpting pedal!

I'm glad it was helpful! If that is what you are looking for tone-wise, you'll enjoy this pedal for sure!

Great tone!
PS. Where is the link to the Dumble video?

I am going to be re-visiting these early videos again soon to do them in my more current slightly more polished style (i think!)... cheers
Tremendous, looking forward to your revisiting the earlier videos in a slightly more polished style. (So you
Think)!!!
The worst thing in the world is when somebody says they out the link to something in the description of their video and then just doesn't
Oh crap, sorry man, what did i forget?
@@JamesOnGuitar 2:13 lol no worries man, I'm sure it's easy to forget something like that. Honestly just impressed you even responded

now I woul suggest the DUDE, or the ever so gorgeous MI Effects Super Crunch and Cross Over, the Dude being the most Dumblish,
You already got a great tone from your amp and guitar! But I am going to try one of those pedals with my tele and princeton amp:)
Sounds like a great combo you have there! Enjoy!
What amp are you using?
That was a Tone King Sky King 👍🏼
Thank you! Magic clean tone:)
Yeah, it is a beaut! Cheers
Blaaahhhh blaahhh holy
