The most beautiful film of all time. For technicolor see “Jungle Book”with Sabu. When I was five years old I got Joe E Brown’s autograph and proudly say I knew who he was as his films used to show on Saturdays. If I remember, Joey speaks not a word in this film(?). And feel that Teller, of Penn &Teller, studied him.
Joe, I can't believe I'm correcting you! "Additional dialogue by Sam Taylor" was on original prints of THE TAMING OF THE SHREW with Doug Fairbanks and Mary Pickford. The credit was apparently altered for a 1966 reissue to "Adapted and directed by Sam Taylor." Otherwise, I enjoyed the review and the trailer definitely whets one's appetite for the movie.
Many great sequences in this film including the forest sequences to the final play scene with James Cagney And Joe E. Brown. One of my favorite films of the 30s. 1:21

Jimmy Cagney as Bottom-I recall not believing that when I saw it the first time. What a multi talented man he was.

I agree with mr. Dante. This is one of the most beautiful films made by Warner Bros. in the '30s.
