I'm so glad Chris got to prove himself in this movie. He was great, Daniel was great and they were just brilliant! I hope they get to work with each other again.
Kinda funny to know Daniel's voice here in real, in the movie his voice is different with a particular accent, so i think it's great that he could make that voice as Niki Lauda which sounds effortlessly natural. Great actor.
I don't get people saying Chris Hemsworth played Chris Hemsworth. Have you even seen the guy in real? He's nothing like Hunt was. Funny and likeable yeah, but he's far from a rockstar type of person, he's calm and seem almost shy in some interviews. I too think Daniel is bloody amazing as Niki, but Chris doesn't deserve getting talked "down" and underrated like this.
Not taking anything away from Daniel's brilliant performance. But no one's talking Chris's performance. Perfect actors. But yes, here's me giving him some well-deserved recognition.
I think the reason why every one is talking about daniel's performance and not chris' is because they maybe weren't expecting such a stand out performance from daniel but expected it from chris, well thats how I felt anyway.
Premiere Scene’s Claire Bueno and Mike Jonas had pole position at the World Premiere of Formula One film Rush as they swapped a chequered flag for a microphone to interview director Ron Howard; actors Chris Hemsworth (James Hunt), Daniel Brühl (Niki Lauda), Olivia Wilde (Suzy Miller), Alexandra Maria Lara (Marlene Knaus), Joséphine de La Baume (Agnes Bonnet); producers Simon Oakes and Guy East and motor racing driver Jenson Button. Join us as we ask Ron Howard the importance of being unbiased when dealing with the rivalry between two sporting heroes James Hunt and Niki Lauda; Chris Hemsworth, Daniel Brühl, Olivia Wilde, Alexandra Maria Lara, Joséphine de La Baume about their character motivation; Simon Oakes and Guy East about this writer and director winning team and Jenson Button about what it is he loves about being and F1 driver.
Exactly! Chris was great as well, but I think his role wasn't that challenging for him. Not that it doesn't need the right talent to portray a "James Hunt" -don't miss me- but to me it seemed more as if Chris Hemsworth just had to play "Chris Hemsworth"! :)
That Niki Lauda actor dude sounds like he is on Helium. He should put that Austrian speech coach on full time. I think this guy has a real career in childrens Disney cartoons. great movie 5 stars.
holy fuck, look at the daniel in this intrview and him in the movie, even the voice, Give this man a fucking oscar right now.
is that a question or you are just trying to piss me off.

daniel was perfect as niki lauda
Daniel Brühl and Chris Hemsworth was a killing combination. They counteracted brilliantly.

First movie i've wanted to rewatch the minute after it was over in a while.
Daniel Bruhl, smart and talented actor. They had great on-screen energy, him and Hemsworth.

Exactly what I was thinking. The moment when he saw Niki for the first time after the accident..wow! His eyes.. He looks so sad. What a performance!
Love this movie and both actors were amazing. Not one more than the other at all. Both were perfect. Ron Howard does it again!
