Everything you did repair wise is exactly how i do too. I have never been called back for the same closet shelf again. True & Tested! Just making memories skid bro. Good to see u posting! 🛠️🤟
Always…I started this career four years ago & your videos helped me more than most techs (not to push my gratitude but by chance you still see comments on your years old post? I only asked because I posted a question on there regarding photocell & also do your offer your knowledge of passing the epa section 8 I’m willing to pay because I can’t pass the darn thing to save my life.
Them ones with a spring that fold up to slide in the hole. Molly anchors is what we call them here. But them work good when they rip the ones like your useing out. I do work on some government homes..... they can tear up anything
I use those anchors and I also use the studs in the wall but we had properties that were so rough that I had to make my own clips out of steel L brackets little small ones, fold them out flat and make a strap that came out to be about an inch and a quarter long and the area in the center right where the angle used to be made a perfect little spot to cover the wire shelf and all of the steel supports if I was able, I found them a place in the studs
Thank you for sharing. My wife’s side of the closet has fallen twice now and it’s the top brackets that failed. I’m going to the Depot and get some of those “horseshoe “ things hopefully for the last time.
@@Cocoaserendipity I got this from Amazon: PEROMI 10 PCS 10mm Heavy Duty 2 Hole U-Tube Strap Clamp. There are many sizes. Notice when he drills it, there is a space between it and the wall. Which is because of the other plastic clambs.
I'm not sure. Try Googling "Wire shelf brackets" or "Wire shelf holders" and look at images. I'll bet they'll come up and you'll see the actual name. Thank you so much for watching!
Man, I wish they only put bowling balls on our shelves. They putting full grown adult elephants! After I had a couple rip those anchors out, I started putting the clips straight into studs with 3 inch screws. No elephants rip those shelves down anymore skid!
The metal ones always rip out. The last property I worked at, someone went around using the metal ones and closets were falling down all over the place with the metal wall anchors hanging off of the bent brackets. I went back with the plastic ones that split and grab the sheetrock and never had another issue in 6 years. Good to hear from you Sam!
Lmao. If I put my bowling ball collection on that shelf. I assure you it would fail!!!! Almost 30 years of ten pin action. I seriously hate when shelving, falls down wtf were you doing!! 🥴🥴🥴!!

This is what should be sold instead of the weak anchors.

Thanks for this! I have the same shelves and they came down. Left a couple of big holes in the drywall, too 😢
Thank you so much for watching!
Use these shelves often use aggressive anchors but horse shoe idea 👍
Yep! I put the horseshoe right into a stud. Thank you so much for watching!
Thanks for the information
Thank you so much for watching!
I toss those into studs with 2.5" screws
Heck yeah! Never coming out. Thank you so much for watching!
Do the plastic wall anchor have to go in the stud?
No, just the sheet rock. Thank you so much for watching!
Great video, I’m going to try! What is the “horseshoe” official name?
I'm not sure. 😆 Closet mounting bracket? 🤔 🙃
Awesome thanks!
Thank you so much for watching!
did you put the anchors in the original holes??
Sure do. They fit perfectly. Then I place horseshoe braces into the stud. Thank you so much for watching!
@@LexVance At 2:50, is that the horseshoe braces? I've been looking for those for weeks now and nowhere to be found.
@@nram1 did you find what they are called?

How long have you had that ryobi for? Great vid btw!
5 years. Same drill and battery. Thank you so much for watching!

Do you really think the plastic ones are as effective as the identical metal ones?
The metal ones always rip out. I went back with the plastic ones that split and grab the sheetrock and never had another issue in 6 years. Good to hear from you Sam!
I'm going to Home Depot to ask them what aisle I can find the Jackie Chan's on!
Thank you so much for watching!
I wouldn’t do it any other way lex!
Thank you so much for watching Jervok!
He’s using a Ryobi oh gosh (I have five of them 😆)

The only thing good about the other anchors is they pull out without damage
