I'm 52 and this Mix I heard while listening to his set at Tomorrowland 2019. I get goode bumps everytime that female vocal kicks in. You never grow out of the music you grew up clubbing to. Once it's in your soul it's hard to let go. House music, Trance, Chill out etc, still fill me with that emotional response, sometimes decades apart. I still have all my vinyl and a newer pair of Technics Turntables to play with again. 😊 😂😊

I'm 54 and have said exactly what you have often..... had 1210's..... vinyl was a harder art by far no auto beat mix button which we know means way way way and then some longer to be good enough to play out..... the feeling you describe will be felt by others if this new generation yet never with the authenticity that we did..... I've seen PVD live about three times.... his music doesn't have much variety yet ...For an Angel... is my all time favourite and remains so... if you know about "goose bumps" then your old school which we do ❤❤

You’re not old. Age is relative. I’ve been listening to PVD since college days in the late 90s. If you go to PVD’s shows here in the US you will see mostly an older crowd anyways. Because he stayed true to his style from back then.

i met Paul a along time ago in a club in Holland and a small time dj then called tiesto and we got them smashed in a locky back , a few years later we went to the pride weekend in Berlin were we happened on Pauls float and seeing us got us on the float and traveled most of the day with him , his music lifts me up in dark times which sadly ive had a few of but he has saved me more times than i can remember and i owe so much to this man who i must say we got hammered that night in Holland , i thank you sir even though you will never read this .
My self experience/pov: the year is mid 90s, I’m less than 10y/o and there was a venue in front of my house in my hometown (Guatemala) and I hear electronic music every Saturday… “For an Angel” was played every night (Saturday) and I’d just go sit in my rooftop to enjoy the most beautiful song ever made. The song that introduced me to electronic music.
PvD will always hold a very special place in my heart, and so will For an Angel ❤

I been listening to PVD since 2002, this guy has consistently churned out some of the best trance for a long time. He's definitely a legend.
Hands down the best transition I've ever heard from "a trance parade" to the modern "for an angel". LEGENDARY stuff and I'm proud to say I'm old but I remember 1996 Trance Parade all the way to 2022 and beyond - ahah.

Paul Van Dyk - The man the myth the legend. I bought Vorsprung Dyk Technik in the round tin when it came out first. I still have it and listen to all 3 CD'S at least once a month. It brings back so many of the happy memories I had as a teenager. One of the best DJs of his era and is still kicking it. ❤

Two of my favourite songs by PvD ever... Just as many different people here mentioned, his music has power to lift you from the bottom when life pounds on you without mercy. It's like a sunshine on your face in the cold morning - gives you boost to go throughout your day.
