I think this case of petrol stations ⛽️ is showing how in Rwanda - the authorities shift rules and regulations as THEY wish, without due consideration for the people and investors.
Also, the authorities are taking no responsibility in helping investors to relocate and recoup their money!
How can the authorities issue a construction permit in 2020, and 4 years later - the building has to be destroyed because the authorities have changed the rules?
What is there to protect the investors?
Nuko nta FRW nyinshi mfite ariko this situation scares away investors! Imagine if you’re a foreign investor who invested 1,000,000 dollars in Rwanda in fuel energy… 10 years ago, and suddenly you have to destroy your investment, and the government is not going to offer compensation?

Your point are understandable and I will doubt to invest into it. I don’t see stability in Rwandan Gov, there is no rules that protect the investors at all. Gotta be careful while you’re investing your fortunes.

Investors need to see stability! Stability in economy, currency and regulations!
An investors doesn’t want to be dealing with regulation changes every 12 months? Especially if the regulations mean destroying their infrastructure, and starting from zero!

Collapse due to government’s irregularities. That’s the big picture. Investigating is the master key before investing.
