I've got 2 Carbon 12000 winches (on 2 4WD's), had them for a couple of years and they are pretty damn awesome. The only other winch I've had that was comparable was the TJM OX 12000lb back in the early 2000's. I've had several other big brand winches since the OX but they clapped out in no time (usually solenoids repeatedly sh!tting themselves) but I gave Carbon a try and they have never failed me yet. I've pulled a bogged semi trailer out of my driveway, a front end loader that was struggling to pull a 45 foot pantec and a bogged tipper and dog out of my driveway... I've since built a new driveway and nothing is getting bogged again! I'm personally hooked on Carbon and am very happy I found them and that someone finally built something that actually does what it's advertised to do. Thanks Dan and the whole Carbon team, keep up the great work and especially the quality. P.S. Simon, your editor needs firing or at least a smack around the ear-hole, way too much fill in fluff taking focus away from the story. Try to hire someone older than 11 yrs.
When you think about how much torque a Dewalt brushless tool can produce from a relatively tiny motor, it's no surprise that a winch can benefit from brushless technology. For a normal 4WD like a Patrol or Cruiser, though, 48V is not available.
The motor via the ESC is speed adjustable, but will the remote control have analogue control? Can we spec a high speed no load profile and then use the remote to wind in slowly or quickly as required? Imagine all the torque and slow speed control when you need it, but then not having to wait 5 minutes to spool up the rope after the job is done. Can't say how many times I've just looped my rope over the bullbar just because I don't want to wait to spool in.
Sorry but can we get real and say this is the best winch for you that advertising can buy! Seriously just as bad as every other RUclips influencer now ….sad
Hey guys the best winch I have had in the last 20 years of off road 4x4 👍💯
🏆🙏🤗⭐
Thank you for sharing this

now Carbon Offroad need to make a "proper" air compressor in 48V.....
