Raz's Perfect Pass Monster Servo might be a good choice.
perhaps, I gotta get one with no slop but I do have another idea to tighten this up.
The local 5th scales racers here are using (the only available one) 5th scale spektrum. They say it's awesome. $200+ tho
The more you lower it, and the more those lower control arms have a angle to them, the worse the suspension geometry will be and the worse it will handle. Ideally you want someone to make a drop knuckle that would lower the car while keeping the lower control arms level with the ground. The car will be much harder to control especially at higher speeds if you remove the sway bars
Hmm ok. I’ll work on balance. I’m new to speed stuff especially 2wd speed stuff.
Yeah there’s an inherently bad design here
I have 3 of the promodeler ds2685blhv servos for a 5t project. Basically as big as they come for 4s servos.
I've been beating the crap out of a promodeler 2685 in my scx6 honcho for 2 years now and it still works like new. It's very accurate, waterproof, and durable. The case is probably a quarter inch or so deeper than most servos so space may be an issue. Perfect pass monster is in almost every tenth scale rig in I own and it's amazing so I have no doubt he built his fifth scale servo just as well
TRY THE “PERFECKT PASS” 1/5 Servo from Raff Shiskin😃
Worlds best 1/5 Scale servo..!!! Used for High-Speed up to 250mph…
Hey Joe, check out Promodeler servos, they are contracted to do work for the US Government. I use there 1/4 scale rc servos in my boats, and they are fantastic, you won’t be disappointed. Just make sure your looking at there top tear stuff, there all metal gear servos with aluminum chassis
!!!! Hope this helps.👍
Raz Shifrin Perfect Pass servo is the way to go
When you hold up that body next to you you can really understand how big it is 💯🙌👍
I like how it's leaving 11's on the pavement! Getting closer to scale each time.
Adjust the 'cycles' (pulses i think for spektrum, idr surface txs), so that it's SLOOOOOWER pulses. My futaba 4pls, mt12, etc I can adjust everything abs related. You'll find that fine line between straight stopping & spinning out.
Slower pulses? This gt5 can do that I found out. This is the first time I’ve ever got that ABS to work on anything.
Its the angle of the dangle my dude! A steering dampener will help with speed run, but steering geometry is crucial running straight at speed.
I really like this big old boat
Open the shocks up and put a spacer in between that's what I usually use to lower my RCs
It looks cool but I dont like how this car drives...
Imho, should've been 4wd. 2wd in something that big could be extremely dangerous.
@@old-rcplane-phart agreed!!! It’s definitely an unstable car and that is no fun!!
Anything like this with this weight and size is dangerous. The issue with 2wd is we have about 7000 scale HP so they spin out so easy.
This chassis feels rushed to market. It feels obviously too high and the lack of ability to dial that in seems crazy, but worse why didn’t they dial that in before release. It looks super cool but just feels like it’s a beta or even alpha version of a product.
@old-rcplane-phart 4 wheel drive would probably handle a lot easier 👍
U could try the fuel tubing or spacers in the shocks to shorten them maby that work to lower it I did it on another rc car worked good ...
For that beast, Perfect Pass Monster
Good to see it handles like a real challenger around a track 😂😂😂. This thing needs awd
LoL almost like a mustang 😂
👍👍😃
I love the tire squeal
Perfect pass bro. Have one in my K8 its amazing
I'm going to order a Perfect Pass servo for mine.
Please let me know if that’s tight.
Exocagedrc@yahoo.com is my email
You can 3d print internal shock spacers to lower the car as much as you want.
Tubing on shock shaft inside the shock cut to length to lower it
Put some limiters in the shocks? Idk if that works for faster cars.
The only two 1/5 servos I have tried that have zero slop are surprisingly both Hitec servos, the SGT1005 1/4 scale industrial servo(mods needed to use in 1/5 scale as it's taller than normal 1/5 scale servos) and the D845WP which is only a 50kg servo but works great in 2wd RC's and cheap around $100-$115.
Hmm. I’ll check those out. I have a few hitecs here but never a big one.
this is not a track or speed run car but looks good and its awesome❤. if you manage to lower it and add more weight in the front maybe will handle better. But its good as it is as well anyways
Hey Joe. I'd just trim the shock end a bit and drill it deeper( if possible) if needed to make shock shorter. Or , u could install a spacer inside shock making it shorter that way.tx
Can’t wait to get one
Perfect pass best I have had 👍🏻
PERFECT PASS SERVO
🤪👍
Nsdrc rs2500 is worth a look. 4s direct though.
To lower it. Take the shocks apart and add washer to inside.
You're going to need some tires with better traction
Have you considered adding weight to it? Whether it’s so you can do a line lock burn out or maybe come out of corners faster
Yeah just haven’t done it
Just reduce rear brake bias so the rear end doesn't lock up. Even with ABS, if you have too much rear brakes, it will spin out.
We had that issue pretty bad before. But if front is locked up it just pushes wherever it goes. I like the abs for the fast stuff. Glad it’s tunable too.
How can an onroad vehicle have that scrub radius ? No wonder you feel the need for a more precise servo when wheels are flopping at every bump in the road.
U want to put a shock on the stearing like how ford put on their 4x4 real trucks .
Hitec HS-805BB Monster Resin Gear 15T Analog 1/5 Scale Servo? Not sure if it's strong enough but resin gears have less slop than metal gears.
I hadn’t thought of a resin gear servo.
👍😁😎✌️
👍👍😃
@@ohnoadventures up north at camp. Slept in a little bit. To damn cold to get out of bed. 48 degrees outside and 52 degrees in the camp. Time for coffee and run the gas oven for heat. 😂👍😁
@@CM-ig2pf Have fun 👍
It's still in the 80s here in Florida @@CM-ig2pf
Man that thing is just amazing
But it needs to be 4wd. I know its to scale but with big power it will be hard to control at high speed.
It’s a handful for sure
Could you put the challenger next to a raminator please for size comparison
The body is almost the exact same size.
I want one soo bad. But it's way out of my current budget
Perfect pass monster servo he has a test video on it..
Does the flysky gt5 have any 3 ports receivers.
Not that I know of.
@@ExocagedRC only the 6 channel ones
Sorry to be hating on it, but I don’t think they did a good job on it. I know it’s a Challenger, but it should have AWD. There is what they want it to be used for and what we will do with it. Plus the chassis design looks way off. A car that big and you have an issue fitting a decent set of batteries, or even fitting a Max5 in there. They just missed the mark but could have had it so easily.
I just had to look that up. They do have an AWD Challenger. Honestly I had no idea. If this was AWD, Jeeze man it would be an incredible new platform for crazy speed.
@@ExocagedRC wow, to my knowledge they weren’t going to do AWD on this thing, but I also haven’t looked at it since they announced it
Your brakelights don't work sir, that's going to be a ticket.
Yeah I noticed that. I think maybe that water from a few weeks ago may have messed something up.
😂😂❤
Lmao, it leaves tire tracks
thats not how abs works
Well then rather than giving a blank statement. Explain.
@@ExocagedRC it only stops bracking when the weel locks up
