Saw a tv documentary loooong time ago. Older archeologist for looking for Nesse all his life made one final sweep of the Loch and gound her and her babies corpses. Since then no one has said they’ve seen her. Who Knows???! She was a plesiosaur ☺️

Well the description is identical to the Loch Ness monster and here's the CrAzY part the Loch Ness and lake Champlain used to be connected back before the land broke apart into separate continents! It should be mentioned that the reason these tales have existed for so long is because of how deep and how murky the water is. If you took the water from every lake (Loch) in Scotland it wouldn't fill loch Ness and there are a LOT of lakes.
There's a lot of stories in Europe of saints banning (but not killing) snakes or dragons. This is usually used as a metaphor for Christianisation and banning of the pagan traditions. Maybe the origin story of Nessie is one of those stories
