Swinging like this is so nice, I have practiced this for 6 weeks. I still get a lot of bad hits, but the crisp hits aren't uncommon. It gets me into a calm mindset, my clubpath have improved alot(i have swinged over the top for a loong time). The clubs it has made the biggest impact on for me is definetely my hybrid and my spoon. The first time i made a crisp hit with the spoon with 0% power (i guess its more but it feels like 0%)and saw it fly 150y was really an eyeopener.
So cool to hear and I am glad this video has helped you out as much as it has! I really appreciate the insight and feedback here! Keep up the great work and let me know if you need anything! TS
Your videos really resonate with me. I understand what you are saying about having the proper tension when you are playing. Here is my issue: If you look at the swings you took where you stop quickly, it appears you are holding off the club and not completely releasing it. For me, I bounce around between keeping a tight core and some tension to give structure and then playing to loosely. When I have the core tension, impact is extremely solid. However over time with this swing I tend to de-loft my clubs and hit the ball too low. So, I loosen up and play with as little arm tension as possible. This elevates my ball flight height but over time I then start to lose quality of contact and perhaps, if there is such a thing, I over release the club. At any rate, it would be awesome if you could do a video on how to find the balance between the two or simply tell me how to consistently find that point between playing with too much tension and playing too loosely. Thanks you.
Thanks for the comment and I completely understand where you are coming from! There are ways to add vertical forces to the swing as well that will add height while maintaining stability. I’d also say I don’t believe in holding off the club face ever. Not twisting the grip would be the more common problem I see out of a release pattern. I’ll happily add this to my list of vids to shoot and I’d be happy to discuss w/ you over a phone call the areas you are taking about! i use a fairly firm grip when i swing because i feel it helps me load the body and the shaft better and unload the spring in the shaft coming down and i like to keep the face more square to the arc throughout.
Love it! If it works, don’t fix it! You have the ability to explain it, it works for you and it repeats. That’s awesome! Thanks for sharing and let me know if you ever have any questions!
Firstly I’d say I believe in reverse engineering and helping the player learn where they need to try and finish! Once that is achievable, then the player generally can start to make tweaks to the route (downswing, etc.). Happy to jump on a free consultation call with you to explain more if you’d like. Thanks Trevor, I see you as my go to reference on the topic of tension in the golf swing.
Thank you! If you ever need anything, please do let me know! Happy to help. Anyway I can!

How to start the downswing for a lefty

Never hit one ball.
There were a couple of balls that were hit. Anything I can help you with?
