My Turnover Speech:
Joining a beauty pageant in general never crossed my mind, although being under the limelight is a familiar place since I have always been a singer/ performer all these years, winning the Miss NMMC Centennial 2018 was a whole new type of spotlight to me and a cherry on top since this happened a day before my birthday. I want to extend my gratitude to my fellow candidates because the preparation process of the entire pageantry was challenging and never wracking but they made the it enjoyable. I also want to thank the nursing department, my colleagues and friends for the cheers and support. To team Baks, for being the backbone of the success of this event. To my family for their unconditional love and unending support, to my mom who is watching right now , for always being present and for being my rock through highs and lows and my dad up in heaven, i know you are proud of me. And lastly, to God almighty for being my source of strength althroughout the competition. What a journey it has been, I am Ma. Alyssa Pilar Fuentes. Your Miss Centennial Nmmc 2018. Signing off.
My title has Centennial in it because I was crowned during the 100 years Anniversary of my Institution. I also was able to turn over my crown just last 2023 instead of 2018. It took so long due to the covid outbreak where events where postponed.
