For me, it took taking a step back from the hobby to really understand how much of a money waste it is to open packs. Admittedly, ripping to me was one of the most fun things to do in the hobby. Just can't justify throwing the amount of money to rip and get so much junk. Collecting singles is definitely a smarter move for me.
Perfectly said. Yeah ripping packs is only fun to do in moderation in my opinion, when you open a LOT, it really exposes how bad these products can be
I’ve been buying a ton of singles since COVID hit 2020. Instead of ripping packs I look forward to Winning auctions and getting a good deal. Too many bad variables when ripping. I still buy some retail when possible, but I also put some away for boring days. The hobby is getting too exspensive lately. 😢

Shill bidding is still a huge driver in singles auctions. Buying singles can be just as bad as ripping packs so you still need to be careful on those purchases too.
@@RainStryke bidding on cards and auction is never bad because only you can decide to overpay for a card. Completely different than gambling on opening packs.

I still think AR is going to be the best QB that came from this draft, if the Colts use him right.
He is a Lamar type with a better arm. All those AR cards are going to be good but look as many as you got just in these 14 packs.
Panini has flooded the market with him in this product but CJ is a SP.

I like the tip on cutting the top corners of the penny sleeve for the die cuts. I wonder if you tried the thicker penny sleeves?
Nice video. I feel that there is okay "value" in the value packs but very very low chance at pulling a "banger" but you will get some nice cards and plenty of die cuts. Thanks for the fun vid and GL on your next rip!
This opening really made me appreciate how lucky I got. I was able to grab 4 blasters and a good amount of value packs on release at target and I pulled multiple strouds including the exclusive die cuts. I thought these packs were just so full of good stuff that the value of cards would drop but ig I got extremely lucky with a lot of packs. Also I opened between 15-20 value packs and also got zero numbered cards in there so it’s extremely hard to get major pulls but I’m not sure if sky got unlucky or if I got really lucky with the pulls.
They are better than the Prizm and Optic value packs in my opinion!
On the numbered cards. I just watched another video where the gentleman opened entire case of blaster boxes of the same cards and only had 3 numbered cards!!!
Aren’t those Select cards numbered on the back? How did you know you didn’t have any numbers from looking at just the fronts?
Hey man I just bought 7 packs for fun from target cause I’m wanting to collect something good. However what’s the difference betweeen numbers, select certified, etc. I want to know how to rank them as value so I can save them. I pulled future select, turbocharged, numbers on rookies. I’m hoping my chance stroud cards are pretty good since I pulled three of those. Also what do you define a big pull? I heard the word zebra?
I am hoping to jump in the game this year. My Goal is a Caleb Williams card

I like those packs way better than the last ones you opened. At least you get some cards but I am not just looking for #'d cards. I hate all the die-cuts and I don't think Select cards look good either. What was the value pulled versus the other boxes? It seems you at least got a few good rookies out of this one. Either way I wouldn't buy select personally.
Honestly if you're comparing this rip to yesterday's, there was probably more value pulled with the value packs over the blaster boxes. I will say, I have a video dropping Friday where I open a case of select blasters, and we pulled a monster🔥🔥 it's really just a luck of the draw
@@skybcards I think you spent more on the value packs too but I am not sure. I like getting cards, base included, so I value the # of cards more than getting ~5 cards and a $5 #'d card but that is me. I am still no fan of Select, images look blurry, ugly colors, ugly die-cuts and too much border.

Try for the die cuts cutting the corners with a scissor just the points they slip in pretty good. Great video as always thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the video! I think if you want to grab the top rookie base cards or if blasters are snatched up like Optic, the value packs are a decent option. Blasters have a much better floor if you can find them.
Agreed 100% man, im hoping the hanger boxes and mega boxes for select product a lot more consistently than value packs and blasters have

What worked best for me was cutting both corners of the sleeves, i struggled trying the sandwich method😂
