To me, what makes this fantastic, is as much the love of the music coming through as the technical voracity. Many recordings on the Internet of pieces like this are clearly made to show off one's technical mojo. Corrado clearly does not "need" to show off his technique...he has it to burn. Here, to me at least, he shows off his love of music. Italian music. It comes through in the melodic lines he plays. Bravo maestro! *bows low*
The Italian school is very bright, it allows to have more freedom than the French school, in my opinion I like that there are small changes in the pieces
Great stuff!.. I have played this a few times over the years but never yet a decent recording of it... I hope to record it this year at some point when life returns to some normality again..haha :-)

At 5:15 he also plays the vocal cadenza that Verdi wrote rather than the flashier clarinet cadenza in this score. I like it better.
