It was a great fight, bizarrely even better than the first one in the movie for me. Setting in the car as a limitation on what you can do really helped make it pop!
My favorite wolverine fight scene is definitely wolverine & sabretooth vs weapon Xl. Seconds favourite wolverine funeral fight scene with black coat in the Wolverine followed by train sequence.
@@FullFatVideosIt actually kinda felt like a fight you’d see in the boys. Something about the pacing, the sound design, the deadly amount of blood. Everything about it was great.
Her death is one of the most haunting I've seen in a movie particularly bc of how we don't actually know if she died or if she's horrifically trapped in her water and adamantium prison constantly dying and suffering. That's some cosmic horror sh*t
@@Jp-1377the adamantium is probably just preventing her from doing anything as it's clogging her entire body. I don't think she's dead, just frozen. If they were able to remove all that adamantium, she'd probably be able to just regenerate, but that is a pretty big 'if'. I'm just hoping that it's also leaked in her brain and is also preventing her cognition.
These Terminator comparisons are so on point, especially considering they both have fights between metal skeletons covered in human tissue... and also have protagonists that seemingly cant be left alone 😂😅
Totally agreed for his 1 on 1 fights but my favourite Wolverine fight sequence in general is when we see him go into berserker mode for the X2 mansion fight against Stryker's soldiers, especially that first kill in the kitchen, absolutely brutal.
@@FullFatVideos Ah yes indeed, that final berserker run in Logan definitely succeeds better at bringing the emotion behind the thrill of seeing him at his peak again thanks to the serum as the stakes feel more personal. I will admit though that even though X2 lacks that R rated gore factor, the mansion fight strangely manages to feel more violent in the same way you were emphasing the reactions / yells and gruesome sound effects in the Lady Deathstrike fight still selling the brutality of it. I think it's a combination of Hugh's natural athleticism (no wire work except for that last jump over the staircase), the multiple shot compositions (particularly that POV shot of Hugh running towards the soldiers as he's getting hit by tranquilizers while screaming gives you absolute chills), what feels like more violent fight choreography (those 2 backhanded slices from Wolverine just after that POV shot feeling the most savage) and no blood is better than CG blood. The sequence is filmed like it's from a horror movie if Wolverine was the Xenomorph / Predator hunting down all the victims and I love it for that.
This is Bryan Singers best super-hero film-EASILY-it knocks Superman Returns out of the water. X2 has everything you want/need in a sequel, everything you also mentioned too. Each team member gets to shine in X2 also, which I really love, plus, that opening scene of Nightcrawler is-AWESOME-and hard to duplicate in any other X-Men film.
It's not a surprise X2 is widely considered the best X-Men movie of all times (with a worthy successor in Days of Future Past). End of the 1990's/early 2000's pre MCU had some bangers of Super hero movies like Blade 1&2, Matrix (which, yes, undercovered in its cyberpunk esthetic, is a Superhero movie mixed with Kungfu and western), Spiderman 1&2 and X2.
For Wolverine’s inevitable battle with Hulk in Doomsday or Secret Wars, the three fights they should look to are; Wolverine vs Deathstrike (X2) Wolverine vs Sabretooth Round 1 (Origins: Wolverine) Wolverine vs Deadpool Round 1 (D&W)
cant decide if i liked the Odysee scene or their first fight, the Honda fight was the most creative imo because they were in such a close quarters, i do agree that Origins also had some good fights
Personally I’ve got to say my favourite wolverine “fight” is his last stand in Logan where he eviscerates the reavers. I say “fight” because it’s pretty one sided and those poor soldiers stood NO chance 😂
Even though Deadpool and wolverine is rated R… I kinda feel like the lady deathstrike fight feels more painful? Like the screams weren’t all just guttural anger… there were cries of agony that really sold the hits in my opinion…
I was going to say this same thing! I never bought into the “Wolverine needs to be Rated R” mentality because fights like this actually feel MORE brutal than some of the ones where they can be free with the blood and gore
Something about the needles. Somehow being stabbed with something incredibly thin and pointy looks more painful than getting an arm chopped off or your guts ripped out. That bit where she pummels his back makes me wince every time I watch it. I rarely do that in other fights.
Sometimes a pg-13 can be more brutal than an R if uts done write... take for example the batman that was pg-13 but the intensity of the brutal scenes (particulary in the opening) make it look more violent than most R rated now days since most of then make them look like cartoons rather than actual gory scenes.
i was a teen around that time, X2 for a long while was regarded as one of the best Comic Book movies during that time, Spider-Man 2 and X2 were a debate amongst fans, there wasnt a saturation of comic book movies back then like there is today, Comic Book movies were a real treat to us fans, now its so common that its almost annoying, i would of never thought that back then lol.
Ah, again with the no hit in against juggernaut. I maintain that is the most comic accurate element of that portrayal haha. I mean I can't recall the fight perfectly so maybe if he had say landed a hit that did nothing that would be even more accurate, but yeah. I think the only reason it maybe feels off is because that version of juggernaut just doesn't seem anywhere near physically imposing enough whereas in the comics the dude is an absolute monster. Edited to say great video as always tbf, I'm just going to die on that juggernaut hill haha, otherwise yeah, given me a new appreciation for that fight... may have to rewatch
Haven't seen the latest Deadpool yet. But in the comics, sabertooth is much stronger and faster and looks so different because he didn't get adamantium that Wolverine did which poisons him. So he's constantly healing, unlike his brother, who gets stronger and more feral. This happens to Wolverine once the metal comes out, too.

Eh. My issue with Lady Deathstrike is that she’s just a henchman. We aren’t given enough to make her a compelling antagonist. All we know is she’s being mind controlled. Would have contributed a lot more to the fight and her death if we knew anything about her as a person prior
funny thing, the night i went to go see Wolverine Origins, i put on the TV when i got home, and this fight scene was about to come on, i was Wolverine pumped that day (despite not knowing anything about Deadpool at the time, i quite enjoyed Origins)

1: Okay seriously people need to stop underestimating just how bloody in graphically violent PG-13 can be. Has no one seen the warcraft film or any live-action Transformers movie? And 2: I kind of feel about the whole Hulk vs Thing thing like how this guy's talking about Logan and Deathstrike. Walhalla comes out on top 90% of the time, doesn't mean that Ben can handle himself. And then there's the fact that these two seem stronger when they're not fighting each other then when they do
I hated how weak and mediocre a combatant Logan was made in the movies (especially compared to the source material). Deadpool & Wolverine did him justice, he is now a much more badass fighter whose movements are more animalistic and he often combines kicks and punches.
I think he got better and better as he went on in general, by X3 he’s leaping off trees and in Origins he’s taking on helicopters and multiple mutants. I always wished he’d shown more agility like Cap but there’s more time for that now!
Maybe im just bad at looking at thing but 6:49 Im pretty sure the x-ray scans are actually for Deathstrike since you can see the nail claws in the middle. Which if it is the case isn't bad cause it shows how much lack of nostalgia or care Stryker has for his past experiments, the moment Logan failed he moved onto another project since wolverine was nothing but an experiment
Great video dude! For when you do the x-men origins wolverine game deep dive - I’m pretty sure the vest wolverine wears in the dofp cutscenes is a beaten up, sleeveless version of the uniform he wears in the original x-trilogy. Just something interesting I noticed last time I replayed it, thought it was a cool reference!
In the extended version, (which this wasn’t mentioned) where after Yuriko became a back scratcher and Logan hitting her head with her elbow, he proceeds to stab her, In the crotch. And then, the part where she doesn’t stop stabbing Wolverine in 11:23-11:28 in the extended version, she actually stabs him a lot more.
In the comicbooks, other than cutting off the head, another way to kill a mutant with a healing factor is drowning them, because drowning isn't something you can just heal. If the adamantium didn't kill her, drowning in the water definately did.
Something that bothers me about this fight (although it’s not a slight on the fight) is as far as you said the movie confirms if Lady Deathstrike was actually aware of what she was doing or if she was being mind controlled like Nightcrawler had in the opening. I would’ve liked if they actually had confirmation if she was willingly doing what she did on her own or if she truly was being controlled
Personally I’d love a break down like this of the Wolverine vs Deadpool fights, maybe the first fight between Jimmy and Wade, because Origins had neither really as their superhero, before Deadpool 3 comes to digital, and then when you legally can, the two fights between Deadpool and Wolverine in their title movie.
I think my favourite wolverine fight would be between the x-mansion fight, origins motorcycle and helicopter chase, and bullet train fight. I’ll also acknowledge the alkali lake massacre in apocalypse; pretty sick. Out the top three I’ve chosen I don’t know which one is my favourite cause I like all of them.
This fight from X2 is great but it's not the greatest action sequence in comic book movie history. That is the first chase scene between the Sentinel X and surviving X-Men in Days of Future Past. Yes, everyone ends up getting killed but that's point. What makes this scene of death and destruction so great is that you love watching it the same way, over and over
She is the first one Wolverine kills when he and the others return to the corpse of Ant-Man in Deadpool & Wolverine. Seriously, he charges straight for her at the start ... because he knows just how dangerous she is.
the Wolverine LadyDeathstrike fight is bi-panic manifest lol Does one want to beat them both, be beaten by them both, or BE both of them. Good gracious xD Also [obligatory please stop being so handsome
@@FullFatVideos probably one in Logan or Deadpool and Wolverine. I’ll get back to you. You make a great argument and I think it’s an overall erry good scene. But I just feel others are much better tbh.
I think it makes sense that wolverine couldn't touch ol juggernaut. His momentum based powers create a kind of force field and if I remember right, its actually magic based. So he could essentially kick logan about for hours upon hours. He just wouldn't be able to keep him down because healing factor and skeleton. So it'd just be juggs dishing it out without an end...cos ya'know I don't think juggernaut can get tuckered out.
Too bad that Kelly Hu’s Lady Deathstrike is actually one of the unsung cameos in D&W, would’ve loved to see her go up against X-23 or have a rematch with Wolverine. I know X-23 completely destroyed her in the comics, would’ve loved to see that play out on the big screen.
I’ve always been impressed by how much they were able to do with Wolverine and Deathstrike’s fight considering the 12+ rating (I do think the battle suffers from the same issue all of the films suffer from except Deadpool and Wolverine, Logan just seems like his super strength isn’t highlighted well enough Glad Deadpool and Wolverine fixed this The fight is still a 10/10 tho)
I mean, it's an epic fight, but it also highlights a problem with this fight. It doesn't feel fair to her, because we don't learn enough about her in the movie to care one way or another, ya know? She's just kinda there. Yeah, she's a pawn, so you feel kinda bad, but that's about it, because you don't, as the audience, ever get to know her, ya know?
Let’s be real. Those fox wolverine fighting scenes were trash. They were flat, dull, and lack the choreography that Marvel movies had. The fighting looked weak and Wolverine fight scenes could have been handled way better. The best fighting scene for Wolverine was in Deadpool & Wolverine the first fight scene. The way Wolverine ran on all fours and was slashing and fighting Deadpool was brilliant. Even when he threw him through the wall it was nice. Everything about that was just great. Imagine what else Disney has in store and how Wolverine would look fighting along the x-men and spider man.
I’m sorry man, but those black suits look absolutely terrible. I have no idea what the costume designers were thinking. The only one of them that kind of works is Storm’s but that’s only because of the cape.
Is that a normal way to pronounce samurai? just rang really wrong to my ears and unfortunately I have the curse of not being able to let little things like that go...
Wolverines best fight happens agianst Yashida in the wolverine. You tried killed your daughter live with that. Samurai vs the wolverine Nothing is better
Also, to add, the fight is ruined by the inner cutting scenes of striker walking in the hallway. Going to the cerebral area or whatever the fuck is doing again? I really hate it when they cut away from the fight. Thanks, if you can edit it to where you can go to to 3 minute straight and have an actual fight without interjecting scenes of other characters and plot lines, you piss me off and irritate me. There's a reason why I like the deadpool and rover reign fight scene. Despite some people saying it's just them brutally destroying a bunch of deadpools. There's no cuts, it's one full-blown. Spike scene that you see for over 60 seconds. Straight, just like the guardians of the Galaxy volume 3 fights seen in the hallway. It's not ruined with interjected shit. That's what I want when I see fight scenes and movies. I want to see the fight. I don't want to see another character like Gordon. Blowing up a pillar to a bridge while Batman is fighting around the pool. I understand why it's important. And it works in that film, but let's face it. That fighting would be better if you saw 60 seconds of fighting instead of 60 seconds of Gordon trying to blow up a pillar mixed with Batman fighting reservoir. No, that means the fighting is only actually like 30. Seconds long, you're taken away from what we want to see in these movies. If you can't get good choreography and get your actors and stuntmen. Good and suits. Then stop trying to make these movies. This is 2024. Yes, this movie came out in 2003. It was different, it wasn't as easy back then. But I still call bullshit. I want real shit and I'll take. Yellow and blue spandex or yellow and brown spandex and good fight scenes over stupid ass. Stiff, moving lever that keeps the actors and it's not people from doing what they need to do I don't care if it looks weird. It looks better when the fights are awesome. And legit, they proved in kickass. It doesn't matter how people dress if they show good fighting. It's awesome and they proved it in the MCU and shit. No one's face it. We would have benefited a lot more from common accurate tights and actors and stuff and being able to move and do what they need to do from Power Rangers. All the way the axman, they would have benefited and been able to act better who cares. Did they look like a fucking rainbow? That's what college books look like. You're making a comic book film. Stop trying to make it fucking realistic. What you should care about being realistic as the plot. The story lines the characters and how we relate to them. The whole point of why Stanley and these other people made these comics to reflect on racism to reflect on people have an indifferences and feeling misplaced an outcast in that's the whole point of the x men. And instead we go out of our way to make things relate to shit that don't really matter because of trends because. Bullshit, that doesn't matter and it takes away from the story. And takes away from the character development and takes away from the action. The shit we actually care about when watching these movies. And that's why for me deadpool and roll ring work. Because it wasn't just a cameo fast. The cameos fell earned. They felt right. They didn't feel mixed in just for the hell of it. And then the plot lane was enough to make deadpool. Finding rover reign makes sense. They addressed Logan respected it and disrespected it. It's the same time rover aint acting like rover. Aint it to same stupid shit like cable? Dead and dead pool 2 or the same stupid shit that children are not sad and dead. Poultry. I'm sorry that's pull. 2 fails for me because you have people who aren't deadpool. Acting out-of-pocket from their characters in the comics, where his you did pull works as deadpool is deadpool, while characters are there themselves, Spider-Man is always Spider-Man when he hangs out with deadpool, Hulk is whole 20 bucks with deadpool rover and his rover and when. He fucks with deadpool from taskmaster to The Avengers to other X men characters to defenders to X4. Worse deadpool is always his fucking jokey. Asshole is sometimes he's more mean depending on which comics. You're Korean, but he's always the merk with the mouth and everyone around him is more stoic. And serious or who they are in the comics
I think the “interjected stuff” is fine in this instance, it’s literally just the shot of Stryker getting away. I think it’s a way better fight in terms of the filmic elements and the choreography and the overall excitement compared to the Deadpool and guardians examples, which really have no tension at all and exist purely as spectacles.
Finally, someone has mentioned this underrated fight from X2. Seeing both of them look at each other before Deathstrike passes away was really sad 😢

This fight from X2 is great but it's not the greatest action sequence in comic book movie history. That is the first chase scene between the Sentinel X and surviving X-Men in Days of Future Past. Yes, everyone ends up getting killed but that's point. What makes this scene of death and destruction so great is that you love watching it the same way, over and over
Still think the Odyssey is the best fight he's had (Deadpool as well for that matter), but you're right this rules
She is the first one Wolverine kills when he and the others return to the corpse of Ant-Man in Deadpool & Wolverine. Seriously, he charges straight for her at the start ... because he knows just how dangerous she is.
I'm so glad more person enjoy this fight.
I'd also argue that this is one of the best fight in a Marvel movie.
the Wolverine LadyDeathstrike fight is bi-panic manifest lol
Does one want to beat them both, be beaten by them both, or BE both of them. Good gracious xD
Also [obligatory please stop being so handsome
The ending to the fight when Logan injects the Liquid Metal (forgot how to spell it my bad) made me and my gf cringe from pain😭😭😭
Wolverine ( Logan ) One Of The Best Marvel characters Hugh Jackman Made The Character Beyond Level
Leady deathstrike survived that fight as she was alive in the movie-tie in x-men official game 2007. 😂
Actually Wolverine does land a hit on Juggernaut in X3...in the extended version of the fight as a deleted scene. 😅
Wait wait wait. Is the name of one of the tracks LITERALLY "The Spooky origins of Logan"?
I strongly disagree.
What do you think is the best?
@@FullFatVideos probably one in Logan or Deadpool and Wolverine. I’ll get back to you. You make a great argument and I think it’s an overall erry good scene. But I just feel others are much better tbh.
Bryan Singer used to be amazing
he still is a great director made the best xmen movies DOFP and X2
I think she's dead. Adamantium poisons Wolverine even with his healing factor. That much would be very fatal, I think anyways.
There was a choppy edit where Wolverine was fighting Lady Deathstrike but it was a quick brawl.
For the algorithm.
the dead iternet theory i real
11:24 How is she able to fit her wrists in them small ass squares? 😅😅
Why is Daniel Radcliffe doing movie critique now?
Don’t call it a comeback I’ve been here for years
Wolverine vs mystic? 🤷
I’ve always been impressed by how much they were able to do with Wolverine and Deathstrike’s fight considering the 12+ rating (I do think the battle suffers from the same issue all of the films suffer from except Deadpool and Wolverine, Logan just seems like his super strength isn’t highlighted well enough
Glad Deadpool and Wolverine fixed this
The fight is still a 10/10 tho)
Nah i think the deadpool 3 wolverine fight scenes blow this one out of the park. Even the logan ones do.
X2 is my favorite x men that and first class
X2 was gas 🗣️🔥seen it as a kid ,deathstrike was a Sexy Woman 🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️
Of course there were a lot of cuts in the fight, it's two people with adamantium claws as their primary weapons😂😂
Hahahah fair play
I disagree, in my opinion the best fight was against Shingen in The Wolverine
I’m sorry man, but those black suits look absolutely terrible. I have no idea what the costume designers were thinking. The only one of them that kind of works is Storm’s but that’s only because of the cape.
Is that a normal way to pronounce samurai? just rang really wrong to my ears and unfortunately I have the curse of not being able to let little things like that go...
the title says "The Best Wolverine Fight Scene Ever" not lets talk about The Best Wolverine Fight Scene Ever for 17 minutes straight
You know how RUclips videos work ?
@@FullFatVideos Bro when I see a title like that. That's all I wanna see lol
Wolverines best fight happens agianst
Yashida in the wolverine.
You tried killed your daughter live with that.
Samurai vs the wolverine
Nothing is better
I like that fight but it’s devoid of tension, the guy is a regular dude there’s literally nothing he can do to fight Logan it’s just a matter of time
It’s a shame these two never had a rematch in Deadpool and wolverine
They did. She is the first one he kills, he charges straight for her at the start!
