I moved abroad in my 9th house perfection year…which was last year! Also have sun in the 12th & chart ruler (Venus) in the 12th. What you said about not feeling at home is so true!!! I’ve never felt at home and am used to feeling foreign. If not for meeting my boyfriend here and building a relationship with him I’d be thinking of where to move next, because I don’t feel attached to places😭…just a select few people and experiences. My boyfriend makes me feel so at home. And although he has none of these indicators a lot of our synastry is 9th house based and we have a few of these indicators in our composite chart. So as a couple we want to go overseas for a while, but would likely raise our kids here (where he grew up)

Never saw myself growing old in France, don't see myself in London neither, it was more to improve my English and as an experience. Wanting to retire by an ocean with beautiful shores. I've definitely always felt like a foreigner, and have attracted people from other countries as well (my best friend lives in Canada, my ex wife is from Mexico, I was born and raised in the US).
I immigrated to the US during my 12th house profection year. I am a taurus rising. Aries Venus and Jupiter are in my 12th. Sagittarius rules my 9th and I have Saturn, Neptune, mars and Uranus in Capricorn in my 9th house. it all adds up! I've been living here since 1999.
I couldn't apply any of the principles you laid out in the video for my chart unfortunately. Just to note briefly that I did move to another faraway country when I was 16 and then lived there for a 17 years so that's a very long time. However, if it is of interest, these are my observations on astrological signs for living abroad, which did apply to my case: 1. Rahu in the fourth house. One of the interpretations of Rahu is "foreign" and it's in the 4th house of "home". 2. 2nd and 3rd House Lord in the 12th House - Saturn is my 2nd and 3rd house ruler. Since 2nd and 3rd house indicate income earned + business + self-efforts (entrepreneurship) and the ruler is in the 12th house, then it means that I will earn my income abroad, which did happen. 3. 1st and 4th house lord in the 3rd house - Jupiter is my 1st and 4th house lord. Since 3rd lord indicate travels (but more short distance travels), there is also some indication that my physical self and my home will undergo lots of geographical relocations. 4. 8th house lord in 4th house - 8th house represents transformation, new beginnings, sudden changes. Since the 8th house lord is in the 4th house of home, it could indicate many changes to the home. 5. Mars in the 1st house, which then aspects 4th, 7th and 8th house. Doesn't necessarily indicate travel, but it does aggravate and destabilise important houses like 4th and 8th. Also note that I'm using vedic astrology, and the interpretations of houses may be slightly different to tropical astrology. Still, I think there are still many transferable principles so I hope the above sharing is at least interesting.
Yes, all that you mentioned is correct. I know some Vedic techniques but use Tropical astrology. Mars in the 1st makes you more ready to get up and go.

The goal is live in different areas for a few months, maybe 6 months to a year. I eventually want to find a base, but I won't quite travel once I do. For now, it's about immersing in learning from the cultures and experiencing as much as possible. My 9H is in Libra, and Venus is in my 2H! I have 11 - 56!! 11H in Sagittarius, so friends with diverse people and being a part of outside groups. Not sure if this last one counts since the ruler of my ASC is in my 3H (a whole other can of worms) ASC at 27 degrees Capricorn, making my 12 house all Capricorn.
I'm always iffy about vedic astrology, and sometimes don't find myself vibing with their interpretations. The info about the 9th house vs the 12th house was mind-blowing today. And sealed the deal with me about the 12th house and it's foreign elements. I am a 9th house sun(in gemini, plus Mercury and Mars too) and I do have a huge love and relation with foreign elements and can see myself living overseas but I love journeys more than the idea of living overseas . Journeys period whether through novels, especially philosophical and mythological novels that have deep ideas or traveling and being in a different culture. Both expand me and get me to see things in a different way. One of my girlfriend's is a Leo rising with an Aries sun in the 9th. Traveling makes her heart bet more than anything. I really think that foreign settlement will occur when the 12th house activates. Most likely next year when I turn 28 years old it’ll happen. Also cancer is a watery and moveable sign. Then the 9th house is in the sign of Aries with mars aspecting it. Since Mars matures at 28 years old I think that next year at that age is the best time for me to move.

I'm confused...this rules apply only to tropical astrology right? Or at least its the one you use. Which house system do you use?

Im confused cuz my 1st and 12th house are both in capriocorn but saturn in not in the 12th- idk can someone help me understand if this works the same way? Like when you have 1st house ruler in 12th also?
So where is your Saturn ? It’s normal that your house is split between one sign, depends on where you were born
