thank you for your video i had problem with faul gauge and it as the sender like yours, today came my replacement. The new sender will "lock" in another angle so the metal inside the tank will not be aligned straight angle like before along to the tank, does it makes a difference or a problem? It would be aligned 30º counter clockwise . Old sender was easy to unscrew once i tried turning left just by hand , new sender apart that it locks a little bit more right (30º counter counter clockwise angle as i said) will also lock in position but not feels very tight lock. I cannot turn it more by hand, should i use some tool like long pliers to turn it a little bit more clockwise or once it feels locked by hand then i should not push it more? (i do not want to break anything) If i can turn it a little bit more clockwise then would also be aligned more correctly along with the tank.

Hmm, is the gasket thinner than the original? May need to swap that if the rubber/cork is still good, that may be preventing it from fully locking.
