Young, charismatic and with a heart that beats for music. He is anything but an average conductor. As of season 2021/22, Lorenzo Viotti is the chief conductor of Dutch National Opera and the Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra. We will kick off the season with Der Zwerg followed by Missa in tempore belli, both conducted by Lorenzo. We cannot wait to see him in action!

Lorenzo Viotti conducted the Gürzenich-Orchestra last Sunday in Cologne. His interaction with the audience was heart warming, his passion and talent shone through. The concert made my heart and senses sing. He and the orchestra were amazing.

@@NNWael Mr Viotti is a Swiss citizen from Lausanne (swiss capital of Prostantism by the way), the french speaking part.
@@NNWael You are welcome ! Yeah ! Italian ancestry, probably, the Italian immigration was old and huge ( it did start 100 years ago) in Switzerland, but we have not to forget that the Italian speaking part of Switzerland is the Ticino canton (Bellizona, Lugano, Locarno, Ascona) in the south.
