When I first saw this online oh, I'm talking about the original for the faw choir. And they had a live when it was a really recorded. Evangelist Bettina Pennon on lead with that deep beautiful contralto. The song is an inspiration to me. I am a street evangelist. I need all the encouragement I can get. In Jesus name. Amen!
Are you sure Mattie Moss Clark recorded this song? I only ask because she went home to glory in 1994...and the first time I heard this song was also in 1994 which was on a recording by "The FAW (Frank A White) Celebration Choir" and the project was titled "In The Meantime". The soloist on that 1994 project was Bettina Pennon...which is the same soloist singing it here on this video (decades later). You can do a search for that original recording by FAW which I believe has been uploaded to RUclips. I wonder if you're thinking of a previous recording with a Mass COGIC choir where Bettye Ransom Nelson was the soloist. I only mention this in grace & mercy in case you are mis-remembering hearing Dr Clark sing this song with a mass choir. If I'm incorrect, then I sincerely apologize. :)
It was the last album with Mattie Moss Clark before she passed away. Walter Hawkins was also on that album and Dorinda Clark Cole lead Determined. I have the Cd.
Beautiful rich voice she has, just the wrong song. Bettye Nelson does a fabulous job in the rendition. Bettina would sound amazing on a song such as Be Grateful or There's a war going on. She has a sound similar to Lynette Hawkins Stephens. The key signature of this song I never enjoyed,, nor the time signature in the original,, it needed to ve brighten up a little.. the song no different is beautifully written. Hallelujah anyhow, for the Gospel of Jesus Christ being sent.
Not to take anything away from Bettye Ransom Nelson...but I highly suggest that you do a search for this song originally sung by The FAW Celebration Choir...where (this same soloist) Bettina Pennon sung " So, send I you" back in 1994. :)
This was written for her voice. She is the originally singer of this song. I think it should have been left at this no one else should be singing this song
@@feaqs I am born and raised COGIC of 45 years, and was in the choirs when we re-recorded this song. As I stated, I don't enjoy her singing this song. I am very aware that Frank Antoine White ministries Celebration choir recorded this song first. Being first doesn't always mean better. What's important is that the message of Jesus Christ is received. Music is a ministry. I never said I don't like Bettina as a singer, I just think that her voice is suited for other songs. I've heard her sing many times, and on other songs, I've enjoyed her beauty rich Alto voice, but just not on this song, and I don't care for the original version, musically .
