Never imagined that these videos would be the start of a multi million dollar business. ANYBODY can do it and I want to show you how in my Free 1 Hour Training:lostcreatoracademy.com/freetraining
Praise God, He uses you and your channel for sharing the good news. Keep spreading Jesus while you're traveling be it off cam or on cam. God bless you more, Christian!
And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but He that endureth to the end shall be saved. -Matthew 10:22 Kudos, Christian and Laura!! Keep the fire burning may God bless you more and more!!
+Snoop Doge you are the most butthurt atheist I've seen in my life lol you call yourself an atheist yet you believe that these empty concepts are factors that causes chaos? you're a fucking joke, I think that you're just an angry edgy teenager that has some serious personal issues about life lololol you're the crazy fanatic here
Filipinos are not pagans. In fact, Philippines is probably one of the most religious countries in the world. We don't need conversion. What I don't understand is why Missionaries from US and Canada go to the Philippines to preach. If they come to Philippines to help in terms of education and economic infrastructure, they are most welcome if that work would strengthen their faith. In terms of spiritual needs, I think Americans and Canadians probably need it more than us.
there are lots of pagan beliefs in the Philippines. When the Spanish came, they didnt really wipe out the original religions. People simply mixed Catholicism with their old beliefs. The old beliefs are still very strong
I have been watching your vlogs and they are all very good. But this one, for me, is by far the greatest one. Thank you for showing not only the good side of Cebu, but also the reality of life in some areas. I admire your courage of putting up a vlog about mission works and Christianity and for sharing the gospel openly. All the best to you and to Laura... Blessings!
I'm actually quite upset/disappointed about some of the 'top comments' in this vlog. What many of you fail to realize is that you see 10 minutes out of our lives everyday and considering there are 1440 minutes in a day you really aren't seeing much. We are both Christians (the faith not the person..) and attend church every Sunday so no we were not "brainwashed" by these people. I understand this a controversial topic and everyone will have their own opinions. But just because this might make some people uncomfortable doesn't mean he is going to leave it out of his daily vlogging series. You're watching vlogs of HIS life. Instead of criticizing what this group is doing (handing out bibles/fishing nets instead of food ect.) why can't you just focus on the good. The majority of people (living in the slums) we spoke to were already Christians so noone is forcing religion on anyone and most of these peoples were extremely excited to be getting a bible because it is something they couldn't afford. Instead of handing out food and money which would be gone in a day they were given fishing nets that they can use to catch food over and over again to support their families (they can sell the fish + they can eat the fish). Giving Christian criticism on his vlogs is totally acceptable and encouraged! Many people left lovely comments and comments that were strictly for discussion sake which is awesome. However a few people took their comments too far and I wanted to put this out there. xx Laura
i have been following christians blog for a while and im actually happy that you share things like this. Im a catholic and i have a lot of friends from other religions as well. There are a lot of places like this in the philippines and i actually grew up in one of the poor areas. Some people just dont understand that money is just short lived compared to fishing nets. Good job for this Vlog!
Well but what did you guys expect after such a vlog? 1. The preaching to poor people and children thing 2. He lets some random guy speak about miracles and wonder healing for minutes and you think "okay that's his strange opinion, everyone knows such a guy" 3. but then at the end of the vlog you finaly see that "Christian" ACTUALY belives wonder healing after 3 prayers and he also goes on and on about it. So yeah your viewers of course feel foced.
I have been on 6 mission trips, and i am 18 years old, and every single one was different from the other. What people dont understand is that we dont push it, if someone doesnt want to hear it we respect them and stop, if someone is engaged we keep going. Religion is looked at bad now adays and people dont want to see it or hear it. But you guys stick to you! This is a vlog channel about HIS life and yours, if people dont want to see it, all they have to do is exit out, or watch a different video. I 100% support what you guys do, continue creating the content that you do, because it is your life, not anybody elses. Keep up the amazing work!
I'm a christian and we also do this kind of things in our church! It's an amazing opportunity and it's been an eye opening journey for me, going to another country to see less fortunate people and help them. It puts your life into perspective. It taught me to be more thankful for what I have. I wasn't able to go to the Philippines, but my dad and group of his friends collected clothes and donations here in Switzerland. Sent it to the people who was affected by this tragedy. People who lived in slams are very friendly people and they always smile, no matter how terrible their situations are.
I like seeing you guys venture away from your normal everyday routine. You came across an opportunity to help bring attention to the people who need it most, and you did it fine and respectable way. Keep up the good work.
For Christian: I am so glad I watched this video. Mr. Leblanc, do not be discouraged by 136 dislikes. This is my favorite video. For the bashers: Money (or other tangible help) is just temporary. They will thank you for giving them money while the money is still in their hands. But when they spent it all, you will just be like the other helpful people in their memory. But when you give these people something that is not of this world, something that cannot be destroyed by any machine made by man, something that lasts forever - which is FAITH, then they will be thankful to you not only here on earth but also in heaven. This is not religion. Nothing to be mad about. But something to be praised. More power to you, Christian and Laura!
I'm sure these missionaries believe they have good intentions but it is disheartening to witness this sort of thing happening. This is not the kind of help these people need. In fact, it would only perpetuate their cycle of poverty. They should be taught instead to think for themselves, and be given economic opportunities through education, training, etc. Placing your hand on top of someone's head while saying nice things can feel good but it doesn't go further than that. P.S. I love all your other travel vids, Christian. Cheers!
I am new here, and i came across Christian LeBlanc only last week. Not that i disagree with your views, but having done similar work in the slums of Tondo, Manila, i took note of the local church this foreign missionary group is working with. And just like us who provide daily feeding to 2000 kids everyday, medical and dental services, hold church services there, we come to see beautiful stories how even the most impoverished among them find jobs, start business, God transforming their lives. I am confident that out there in this particular depressed areas, God is working mightily thru the help of these missionaries, albeit indirectly now. But they've planted the seed.
Amazing vid! You meet people not by accident but for a reason...!!! I couldn't be more prouder of a follower of you and Laura and for taking a step beyond your usual vlogging.... it's so amazing to me seeing people like you going through the slum area where the poorest of the poor people of my country live. You've seen it first hand and I know it is not the usual view and life you could have had imagine being in the other side of the world but you and Laura made it there. GOD BLESS both of you! You did such an amazing vid .... Thanks for sharing!
Christian this video had me so emotional. I am from South Africa, my parents were involved missionary work aswell. We travelled to Mozambique a few years ago and the way God worked through us and changed the communities was amazing. The experience is unreal. We have had a few miracle's in our family aswell.
It is rare for vloggers to share their faith. And to do a side trip to see the other side of a place is a something special. Sharing your time with these people will bring you more than good memories.
Thank you for this very inspiring video Christian. I'm from Cebu but working here in Singapore. I enjoy watching your travel vlogs but this one is the best for me. It's such an eye opener and I am amazed at how other people go out of their way to spread the good news about Jesus. I hope i can live a better life and do more for God.... Again, thank you and may God bless you and Laura!!!
I'm sure it's good for everyone to have something to believe in. But they need even more help with everyday life and have a future. They need help with education and food, medical care, dental care, find ways to support themselves and so on.
i just want to say thank you for featuring this and for being a brave soul going there! trust me, there are people who complains seeing our poverty and not even helping out to resolve the problem in any way, but you guys did amazing!
Good work Christian & Laura. Glad you saw this side of the Philippines and inspite of what you saw you're spiritually uplifted. You will inspire lots of us filipinos. Overwhelming. It's such a complicated situation. I don't want to equate poverty to less faith and less spirituality. Most of those people greatest possession probably is their faith in God. What they need most is economic infrastructure to lift them from their situation. Oh boy... there's lots of emotions going on in me right now... Next time I see hecklers along the beach selling something, might be a good idea to buy, some of them probably lives in those shanties.
Sometimes all it takes is for someone to be nice to people in pain for them to be happy and then share it to others. I'm a Catholic and I do recognize that God's work is done in the world through the goodness of people of whatever belief. Thanks for sharing this with me.
I am do not believe in god but i will never judge others who do. Religion helps people but it is also the cause of most wars. You guys are doing great helping raise awareness for people who really care about religion and i wish you both all the best.
+teehtravel I have. Jesus preached on His kingdom, which was nothing of this world. Pls be wary of so-called research into the life of Jesus Christ. History shows that He truly lived, caused a ruckus, to put it mildly, and changed the climate of Israel forever. Ravi Zacharias videos contain much on His life & ministry.
Filipinos have a habit of calling them "dialects" but they're actually languages. A Visayan language like Cebuano is as different from Tagalog (Filipino) as Spanish is from Romanian.
I've watched most of your videos, and this one is very unique.. sharing the life of a missionary is truly an amazing thing to do... and I thank God for your life because of this moment you shared with us... now I have something to pray. Thank you and God bless you!
Christian thank you so much for showing the work YWAM is doing in Cebu City. Several members of my family have been involved with YWAM in various ways, starting in the 1970's when my aunt and uncle met while working at a hostel in Germany. You have the ability to change the world by your videos, sometimes to show us the fun amazing world God created, the amazing people that live in the world, but also to bring to the front what people like these young people working for YWAM are doing to help make a difference. Keep showing us everything you are seeing and doing.
I'm so amazed with your bravery Christian. It's so hard to talk about Jesus openly these days but here you are unashamed. You have no idea how much this helps me right now.
Great job on making one of your episodes an avenue for people to know what Christianity is about and what's happening in the mission fields. Kudos for using ur influence in YT to spread the message. :)
My respect for Christian and Laura went up to the highest level!! You've been a channel of blessing to the workers of God. That YWAM leader's smile is so genuine. 💓 after hearing that you're giving them $200 :) God bless..
This literally brought tears to my eyes. To see all those kids, adults, seniors raise their hand for Jesus. What you were a part of that day was more than anyone can imagine.
Christian....Its wonderful how you added vloging missionaries in your travels. It was no coincidence that you ran into them, and that you chose film them. It was all in God's providence. Bless you.
This reminds me of our voulnteering programs in Philippines. Working with the impoverished communities around Cebu city really changed my perspectives on life.. It's amazing how much happiness these people have to share, despite the difficult living conditions.
Christian and Laura, I commend you for including this piece on your time supporting efforts to improve the lot of financially challenged people! I respect both of you even deeper. Continue the good work. The light of the Master shines brightly in your lives! God bless you both!
Got teary eyed here, overwhelmed with the number of kids and some adults surrender their life to our Lord. Much respect to you for vlogging this even haters my exist. Hopefully next time in your videos will be another vlog like this. Thanks Christian and Laura for ending your Philippines trip meaningful. 😊
I agree with you. In fact these people are not even poor, that's just how they live. It's the natives' standard of living. The only necessities they need are for living, while some of our natives' education are not as "premiere" as the whites, lest we must not forget that they are no ignorant to the world. Then are these filthy cowards, in their own standards, see these people as "poor" just because the houses are not in concrete and no beautiful gardens. I've seen worse and poorer conditions in America than in the Philippines if I were to speak in the white man's "standards".
Keep up the good work Christian and Laura! You are greatly blessed because of what you are doing. 😁 "do not grow weary in doing good for at the proper time you will reap the harvest". You both are an inspiration. A fan of yours from Italy!! 💕
This vlog is going to be controversial and divisive. Christian knows that. Let's have an intelligent discussion/debate. Personally, I watch vlogs mostly to be entertained. But I'm willing to learn something new. And I welcome this change.... once in a while
I will say that as a viewer I was highly disappointed in this vlog. I am going to make sure that I make this post respectful and constructive. The money that was donated to Christian would have been put to better use by giving it directly to people in the impoverished area or a charity that works directly with these people to improve their lives. A charity that actually has experience in helping and will know the best use of the funds. Too often I see videos on RUclips where a famous vlogger thinks they are helping the homeless out by delivering them pizza in their $500k car and filming the act. I did a bit of a facepalm when Christian and Laura purchased junk food for local children... but maybe they are slowly learning how to help people? Baby steps, at least it brought those children some happiness that day. Giving an individual in the Philippines $200 wouldn't have been life changing, but could have been a HUGE help. The hardest thing to do when coming to a 3rd world country is seeing poverty, wanting to help, but not knowing what you can do. I hope Christian takes the time to read the feedback left in this comment section as many people from the Philippines post comments and can give their opinion. Missionary work can be controversial, but a majority of viewers will be skeptical when they are told the missionaries are miracle workers. Christian, you have a very strong voice and I am with you in the hope we can do more for those in need in the Philippines. Look at one of your role models Casey Neistat and recognize the difference method he took to help those in need in the Philippines. At the end of the day it's up to you how to use donated funds to help other people, but giving money to missionaries is like paying a middle man where the money won't go as far to help those in need.
People have strong feelings about religion AND politics that's why we are 'not supposed to talk" about it. Much vlogg about it. But if you are an old Christian Leblanc fan, you know his faith is really strong. Basing it on some of his old vlogs. I'm sure his intentions are good. That's why he welcomes a good discussion. But emotions get in the way too easily sometimes. Filipinos have strong beliefs and very passionate about it. He will lose some subscribers and gain more. Some will be unaffected and understand. Especially those 'faithful' Christians (Leblanc)
+Brent Hartley First of all, do you personally know these missionaries for you to include them in your stereotyping? Secondly, do you realize missionaries leave the comforts of their own homes and go to impoverished areas--not to mention even risk their lives in places where the very people they want to help may actually butcher and eat them--just to follow that driving force that leads them to dangerous places? And that is their faith in God. If you don't believe in God then they're not getting in the way of how you live your life. Return the favor and let them be! For one thing you're now typing in the comfort of your air conditioned room! How about you start your own journey and see how far would your impetus go in reaching out people and risk your own life to make this world a better place, prove to them that your worldview allows you to have that desire and courage that they have despite not having a deity to believe in! I just shake my head when people start criticizing missionaries who chose to devote their lives to help other people when they have the option to stay home or run a business and earn lots of money!
+RZI1016 Thank you for your response. Yes, these missionaries choose to devote their time to traveling the word to spread God, but the real question should be... does the work of the missionaries actually benefit those in need? Many people in 3rd world counties are in need. What is being promoted is that what impoverished people here need is hope and spiritual guidance. The Philippines is a highly spiritual country with over 90% of the population being Christian. It does not make sense to me that one would need to spend thousands of dollars to fly there to give them prayers. They are also falsely claiming that through their prayers that they can heal severe ailments. If this were true it would be all over the news... also, if it were true couldn't a local priest do the same thing? It seems to me what these people need are more resources in order to live a better life. Maybe they need food, new clothing, better shoes, medical attention, opportunities to earn more money, etc... Providing them with fishing nets is a start, but it is very sad to see missionaries tell people in need that they can heal them and create miracles.
+Brent Hartley I understand where you're coming from, brother. Even within the Christian community there remains a disagreement whether or not miracles are still normative today in the lives of those who do evangelistic works. (sorry this topic may require a different thread for it is an exhaustive discussion in itself) But let me express this in the shortest way I could. I believe in the Bible, but I also believe that proper exegesis and hermeneutics will tell us that the normative performing of signs and miracles are exclusive during the time of the apostles. That's why I am with you on this matter because I remain a skeptic and almost an unbeliever about this. Not to mention I abhor false teachers like Benny Hinn who lures millions of dollars from the pockets of poor Christians by blatantly faking miracles on stage (I mean why not perform them in hospitals?). Having said that, we still have to consider more factors about these missionaries in Cebu slums. Like: what can they get from these people if they lie to them? They are very poor they can't milk anything from them! And to answer your question: not all help come in the form of sending missionaries. a lot of churches just send in clothes and stuff, periodical financial assistance, teaching materials, etc. but missionaries specifically want to come and witness first hand for personal encouragement, it is more intimate to really create relationships with these impoverished community. learning how they survive each day, knowing their life stories, exchanging perspectives in life, there is more to just giving material or financial assistance, there is love, communion, fellowship, and genuinely understanding them by living with them. and the help even furthers to educating them academically or practically about how to make a living and how to be responsible in all aspects of life and personhood, encouraging them spiritually, teaching them about God? etc. etc. while other people on the other parts of the country could be teaching other communities about how to be a "good" person without having to believe in God. you know, everyone does their part according to their worldview. lastly, there's waaay more drama, challenges, burdens and difficulties behind what we see on the screen. if we who are just watching would wish there could be more and better help for these people, would not these missionaries desire more intensely for that? having witnessed these situations first hand? I'm sure it's more painful for them, my brother! but they're doing it. maybe committing mistakes but learning each day, devising more effective strategies as time goes by, etc. until they can figure it out how to make the most of the current resources they have. I mean I'm just here typing on my phone and it's easier said for me to say how could they improve what they do but it' s a lot different when you're there yourself. you gotta take into consideration more factors than what you'd expect. it's not a black and white endeavor. let them learn and just appreciate what they do. :-)
You couldn't be anymore an inspiration ! You say what people are afraid to say, especially about God and the truth. I've been reading these comments below and I would just like to say, don't let comments get you down. You're doing the right thing, something i wish to do one day. I pray for you and the work you're doing. Well done. KEEP GOING. You've got people behind you always !
Bless your hearts Christian and Laura! 💕💕💕 u guys have a beautiful soul! so much respect for the bravery of posting this video! made me realyz how grateful i am to ever get to know u even through your vloggs! 😊
Thank you for sharing this Christian! I am a Christian as well and seeing this was very eye opening to me. When the girl asked the children who wanted to follow Christ to raise their hands, I was expecting only a few hands. Then nearly every hand went up which was such an amazing wake up call to never underestimate God's power! I also enjoyed hearing Sean's story and really, the entire video. I've read some of the comments and I know not every one agrees but thank you so much for being willing to put your faith out there and sharing this video! :)
I've seen this scene many times. Those kids aren't actually going to follow Christ. They just raised their hands because it's part of Filipino culture to follow what the crowd does. A lot of them dont even know what's going on. At the end of the day 99% of those kids will remain Catholic. It's just such a big part of the culture that people never leave.
So much love for this vlog! I used to come here to this community alot before doing mission.. you guys are so brave to just say what you believe in.. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ so much looove! God bless!! I miss mactan my rootss!!
I've been your yt follower since your first travel here in the Philippines.. And it's best video I've ever watched from you guys not the usual vlog but it's what we need, we need Jesus the Savior and our Lord.. God bless you guys xxx
I don't really watch long videos like 13 mins which is your usual vlogs, but then I don't find your vlogs boring and I don't even wanna miss a second of any of it! now this 20 minutes and 41 second is truly different from all your vlogs, but there was no crappy second of this video. EVERY SECOND WAS WORTH WATCHING! "Christianity is not supposed to be a religion, it's supposed to be a relationship with the Lord." May God continue to shower you, Laura and YWAM with blessings!!! this video touched my heart.
Thank you Christian and Laura... Great vlog!!! More power and salute to YWAM.... you guys rock!!! #touchedbyurmission keep spreading the good news to the world... 💋💋💋
This people needs spiritual help but the help they need right now is food, education, medicine and livelihood. Philippine government has no program for this very poor people.
I have been watching your videos, since I finally could buy a smart TV with a RUclips App. I appreciate the ability to see different cultures and countries where I cannot go. I had never heard of YWAM, but I see it is another Para Church Organization. You were not surprised at the responses you would get to the video. Many people are against all religion and just want to argue about it. The Net is full of them. As a retired clergyman I have encountered them all my life. You have chosen your path in Vlogging, and you can simply keep on in the same way. It is your choice what to put in your own videos. PS - Let me encourage you to keep teaming up with Laura and including her. Just look at her smiles in the previous waterfall video. She appears to be a great travel companion and a really nice person.
Christian, I subscribed because I love your content... this video made me love your channel even more. As a Christian, I look for people to follow that believe in Jesus Christ, and are unashamed about the love of our Lord and what this world truly needs: salvation. Thank you.
I just love this vlog I mean this is one of those where we can say "Stop and smell the Roses". Thank you for sharing this and bless you and everyone at YWAM for the mission that they do. We need more people like this in the world. and as we do the best we can as individual on doing good will to each other in any ways we can. To God be the glory!
Your best vlog yet, by far. Keep spreading the word. You will reach people you didn't know you could touch. God has blessed yall for a reason, so you can bless others. This is just the beginning, Christian. Be prepared for change, we can see the change in you today. Keep the faith... =)
The best of all your vlogs! Thank you Christian and Laura for responding to God's call even for a day..... and there is a reason why He chose you guys! Meeting Paula in the coffee shop wasn't a coincidence 😊. God bless you both!
Thank You Christian for using your vlog for showing the world about God and what YWAM is about! I had a great time with you and Laura and I hope you guys had a good time with my team. God bless you guys!
stuff like these makes you appreciate what you have.. especially nowadays that a lot of people are focus on material things. I am from a Catholic school so when i was in college, we have a curriculum wherein we need to go places like that and you listen to them.. you hear their pain but despite all that i can say that Filipinos are resilient. can still afford to smile no matter what they're going through. We all need to do our part to help them, they need help no matter how little it is. thank you for this video Christian.
I'm from Lapu Lapu City and I'm a Christian. What these people are doing is very encouraging and true to the calling of Christians. I wish the Catholic Church in the Philippines is doing this too.
I think it's very good to help and these people really give their time & money BUT this is so crazy... this girl was screaming so much the kids must be afraid of her and she seemed so agressive.. I think about donating some money but i'd really be upset if it would go to an organisation like that.. i love your vlogs so much and i respect you& laura a lot for also showing the sad parts of travelling/and the world in general. I do think that believing in something can help you in bad times but the way these people are almost forcing them to believe in god is kind of crazy. nevermind i really really do enjoy your vlogs and i don't think we all need to agree to your opinion on this one.. Thank you so much for your inspiration- greetings from switzerland :-)
Lack of knowledge leads to ignorance that is y there are some places like that. Another factor is corruption from there government. It is inspiring there are still alot of people with good heart helping them to open there minds and correct there beliefs. A big thumps up for that..
This was a great video. All love. This is actually an inspiration to me, I would love to vlog & also do civic works again. I actually helped and did many community projects for years in Cebu, specifically in the rural areas of Lapu Lapu City. I am no stranger to these neighborhoods. Stop with the religious criticisms and hate. They were giving tools to people to better their life and find happiness. Bibles and fish nets. For those who don't believe in a God well this is not applicable. But for Filipinos (which is majority Christian country) they are simply reminding them of their faith and to not be blinded or tempted by darkness and bad things. Sure not everyone is a great speaker and pastor, the girl was yelling. But I challenge any of you to go and speak in front of crowds, even for me who has been doing it for years, I even have awards and medals for public speaking, but I too can get nervous or forget how to talk. Let her be, she's spreading love. Anyways back to my first point. Great video, take care and be safe always in your travels! Would love to meet you one day. & I want to start vlogging and spreading this same love while traveling and sharing it on RUclips. Not sure where to start, but you're definitely my biggest inspiration. ☺️
Love your work bro. I'm Filipino and I live in Davao (South). I'm ashamed to admit but I learned more about my country and seen more of the Philippines by watching your vblogs. I have been to Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao but you have visited far more places than I have. Whatever they say, DO NOT travel here (South) It's not safe for foreigners. Stay in Visayas and Luzon. Stay safe :D
Great video Christian and Laura. Thanks for sharing your experiences with the world. While it's hard to believe stories of spontaneous vision and legs straightening, God uses other people to perform miracles in our lives. By spreading the word about these great Filipino people and their plunder, you may encourage a thousand miracles through countless good deeds. Someone may be inspired to donate, adopt, volunteer, etc. Thanks for sharing, and keep the videos coming.
Great video guys, very inspirational. Don't be discouraged by the negative comments, keep doing what you are doing. Nice to see Ywam and how they are bringing the gospel to people that most people don't minister to. The guy you gave the money to had a very nice and concise testimony.
wow !! this is so interesting ! he was able to cure someone from being blind... and cure someone to walk ? Can you please get this on video... better yet can you just get some random off the street (live) better yet can we pick the disable person for him to heal ?
People with conversion disorders don't have an actual disease that's making them blind or paralyzed or deaf, because their PE will be normal. But these individuals won't be able to see walk or hear. Now, you can't treat an actual person with an organic disease leading to blindness or paralysis... That's the only medical reasoning I can come up with. But these somatic symptoms disorders are really fascinating!
Being a privileged Cebuana who grew up abroad but now back in Cebu City indefinitely, I didn't want to face reality and watch this video. It's too much to bear but it's made me realize that this is what's happening every day around the beautiful city I live in. I see it from the car I drive or from the buildings I'm in. I may not agree with the beliefs of this video and cringe at some of the footage, but I always believed that EVERY HELP COUNTS and whatever method YWAM is doing and Christian and co. are doing, if it benefits the Filipinos in one way or another, in even the smallest way possible, then that definitely counts.
Christian i have been watching your vlogs since you were at a few thousand subscribers, it is so great to see someone use their huge RUclips following to spread God's love. Keep doing what you're doing and if you're ever in Texas hit me up.
Amen. I have been blessed by this people. Serving God, by serving its people. spreading the Love of Jesus. Thank you for sharing this video and making such another side of vlogs you have.... been blessed. Thank you all... Stayed bless and continue spreading the words of God and his Love.
Christian this was one of my favorite vlogs so far!! I'm so proud of you and Laura for taking time out of your travels to be involved in such a great mission! I was in tears and smiling the entire time! Xoxox Kate Cline
This will be my favorite vlog of yours christian. God truly has a purpose of having you and the girl met on the cafe . God really moves and hopefully in your life!! I wish i could meet you anywhere soon :) yey!!
As part of your travel theme, it is great that you showed the side of the Philippines that comprises 25 to 30% of the population. As to the religious stuff, best to keep this a one off. Looking forward to travel stuff again and stuff in your lives. I'm sure this comment won't make me a fan of the day. Lol.
Yes, this is out of the ordinary for what we normally see from you, but not a bad thing at all. It is part of your travel experience in the Philippines, so why not? You appreciate nature. And there is no better way to show appreciation as well to the One who created it by giving back to those in need. Good for you. Keep it up and God bless you :-)
+asscona78 you are refuting yourself. you are one of those who started shoving your worldview into other's mouths. why can't you also stop telling them how to do things? double standard. you must be kidding or just plain stupid.
Respect is not a religion very well educated people here. I'm not a christian but I do know how not to treat people badly and calling them names. Your parents must be so proud.
I was already impressed with your content. Even though you’ve been around in places of party, drugs and drunkenness I’ve never seen yourself giving in to any of those... I’m glad Christ is using your channel to propagate His gospel. May you be impacted by it as never before and continue to show more of the spiritual side the world you see us to offer weather that be good or bad so people may come to the truth of the cross after hearing your testimony and what you have witnessed. God bless you brow
I see a lot of controversy in other people's comments regarding religion. Being Filipino and Catholic, anything I say might be considered biased but putting religion aside, I like what I see as far as the help that's being given to these families esp. The children. Keep doing what you're doing. I like the direction of your vlog. It's impressive that you are both so young and using your success and reach as a vlogger to help.
PRAISE GOD!!! For revealing His POWER, authority, and LOVE in the Philippines through YWAM and through you two publishing this video! Christian, and Laura; I have been following your Vlogs for a while now as you traveled around Southeast Asia as I am heading there this summer on a missions trip to Thailand,Cambodia and Philippines with a Christian organization based in Bangkok. I want to affirm you both, that posting this video was such a huge step of faith. I see you have received a fair amount of flack. Remember what the Word of God says; "Everyone will hate you because of me, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved." Mark 13:13. We are called to be lights in the darkness; and Asia is such an oppressed continent. Keep standing up for Christ no matter where you are and the Lord will continue to shower His blessings upon you! :) :) :) Do you have any MUST see's in Southeast Asia? With not a whole lot of time to travel, I want to hit up the best spots. I will be travelling end of summer/beginning of fall after my missions trip. I REALLY trust and pray that the Lord will bring me back again to Asia this year or in 2017. Who knows; maybe you guys will be there at the same time as me and we can meet up? The Lord bless you and keep you, the Lord cause His face to shine upon you, be gracious to you and pour out His peace upon you! On Christ the solid ROCK i stand; Kate :-)
Christian giving 200 Dollars to Shaun made my heart hurt! 😭😍❤️ He deserves it! It's not even just about the religion, it's just the fact that he goes out of his way to do something he's passionate about and helping others without asking for anything in return.
I wanted to comment just to give you some encouragement amongst all the negative responses I've seen for this video. I don't know much about YWAM as an organisation but their intentions seem pure. It is wonderful to see people passionate for Christ and actively doing good in the world in His name. I hope you had a great time being involved in something great and I'm so glad to see you glorifying God in your every day.
Stop the hate and criticism guy's. We're all just a viewer here of Christians Vlog, you're just sitting there on your comfortable chair and living your beautiful life, whereas these missionaries are doing small things and helping my co-filipinos here in our country, while you're not doing anything but to criticized. We Filipinos are thankful for these opportunities of being reached out by these kind of people from the other side of the world who ever they are, what ever they believe in muslim, born again christians, 7th day adventist etc. We're thankful and blessed to have them and we welcome them wholeheartedly. "For those who criticize, enjoy your beautiful life, God loves you." God bless us all.
🙏🙌☝
And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but He that endureth to the end shall be saved. -Matthew 10:22
Kudos, Christian and Laura!! Keep the fire burning may God bless you more and more!!
so god made pedophiles fuck the pope i'm proud to have no religion at all
+Snoop Doge you are the most butthurt atheist I've seen in my life lol you call yourself an atheist yet you believe that these empty concepts are factors that causes chaos? you're a fucking joke, I think that you're just an angry edgy teenager that has some serious personal issues about life lololol you're the crazy fanatic here
+Snoop Doge well being a dog has no spirit.
+Mari M seriously? the spanish came in 1521 and left 300 years later. It's now 2016. give me a break.
i'm filipino and i'm not even that religious i'm never been to church since i was 10 years old and i'm now 25
+Snoop Doge its not your fault but then it reflects the way your parents brought you up
AMEN! This is conditional love, not helping from the goodness of your heart, helping because you're trying to spread your message. NEOCOLONISM
However a few people took their comments too far and I wanted to put this out there.
xx
Laura
Hi Laura, just ignore them.
i have been following christians blog for a while and im actually happy that you share things like this.
1. The preaching to poor people and children thing
2. He lets some random guy speak about miracles and wonder healing for minutes and you think "okay that's his strange opinion, everyone knows such a guy"
3. but then at the end of the vlog you finaly see that "Christian" ACTUALY belives wonder healing after 3 prayers and he also goes on and on about it.
Good for you Hannah...
20 min vlog worth of my time and I hope to everyone also.
yes, one of the best yet
I hate fucking religion!!!
+Snoop Doge Christianity isnt a religon, its a lifestyle or belief
+Snoop Doge the feeling is mutual!
😶😶
Cheers!
AGREE! Not to mention the neocolonial aspect of it. Doing work like this WITHOUT having an agenda to spread your own message is the real way to go.
This is so touching! You guys are literally my favorite youtubers ❤
I'm sure it's good for everyone to have something to believe in. But they need even more help with everyday life and have a future. They need help with education and food, medical care, dental care, find ways to support themselves and so on.
This is worth to watch, I'm also a Christian and I am very blessed to see this video.. :) God is so so good...
i just want to say thank you for featuring this and for being a brave soul going there!
trust me, there are people who complains seeing our poverty and not even helping out to resolve the problem in any way, but you guys did amazing!
👍👍👍
a selfish mind leads corruption!
the president can't do it alone! we need the majority!
Thanks for sharing this with me.
those kids needs education food and descent shelter, religion is the least
Allahu Snackbar! 🙏🙏🙏
I am do not believe in god but i will never judge others who do. Religion helps people but it is also the cause of most wars. You guys are doing great helping raise awareness for people who really care about religion and i wish you both all the best.
Religion is not what is being preached here, but a relationship with the Creator. Wars were fought in the name of religion.
+kprpearl if you research properly you will get to know who jesus and Mary really were. real people but nothing to do with religion
TeeHTravel Um lately, it's oil and money. Get updated with your politics.
Your boldness and hunger for the Lord is very encouraging. I hope God continues to use you to draw your viewers closer to Christ.
i really appreciate the helping part. but i feel like the poor are beeing targeted and being taken advantage of just to make your churc bugger 😢
I've seen worse and poorer conditions in America than in the Philippines if I were to speak in the white man's "standards".
karatinajr that is exactly the point
a couple who travels with God are blessed. that's why, most filipinos love you!
im crying now :( thank you christian and team for this blessings to us. #wordofgod
+RZI1016
Thank you for your response.
God bless you Christian, Laura and all the missionaries out there👏👏👏 Laura looked like she enjoyed the experience too, it's so heartwarming! 💐💕
This is amazing! What a touching experience. I love knowing you guys are believers! :) Love you guys!
When I visited Cebu, everyone was kind and had a smile on their face.
I've been your yt follower since your first travel here in the Philippines.. And it's best video I've ever watched from you guys not the usual vlog but it's what we need, we need Jesus the Savior and our Lord.. God bless you guys xxx
Thank You Christian and Laura for uploding this video.. Today i had the tough day.. And prayed for a sign.. This is it!! God bless You Both!!
"Christianity is not supposed to be a religion, it's supposed to be a relationship with the Lord."
May God continue to shower you, Laura and YWAM with blessings!!! this video touched my heart.
Not only a travel vlogger, NOW A MISSIONARY!!! ❤ Keep knowing Jesus Christ in your lives... And you will be blessed more.
Thank you Christian and Laura... Great vlog!!! More power and salute to YWAM.... you guys rock!!! #touchedbyurmission keep spreading the good news to the world... 💋💋💋
It is nice of you and laura to go to a place like this. So much love for the both of you! Thank you!! 💕
Continue spreading the word, Christian & Laura! God bless you both ❤❤️️ Let's keep on winning souls. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Tears in my eyes for these people. Thank you for your courage and action
The best of all your vlogs! Thank you Christian and Laura for responding to God's call even for a day..... and there is a reason why He chose you guys! Meeting Paula in the coffee shop wasn't a coincidence 😊. God bless you both!
All of these vlogs are actually the best!!!
After I watched this video, I really now adore you and Laura. You really have such a good heart, you level up your backpacking trip.
Thank You Christian for using your vlog for showing the world about God and what YWAM is about! I had a great time with you and Laura and I hope you guys had a good time with my team. God bless you guys!
This is such an interesting video... Thanks Christian and Laura!!! We (Filipinos) love you both! More power!!!
stuff like these makes you appreciate what you have.. especially nowadays that a lot of people are focus on material things.
Praise the Lord! bless you more YWAM, Christian and Laura🙏
God bless you guys..thank you !you bring tears in my eyes...
WoW!!! Praise the Young Missionaries!!
Salamat for a Great And True Video!
God Bless You Christian and Laura...🙏 thanks for sharing the works of our Lord.
Christian and Laura.. this is definitely my favorite vlog 💕
This is beautiful. I had goosebumps watching this.
me too!
Awesome... Another great vlog installment... God bless .....!
wow !! this is so interesting ! he was able to cure someone from being blind... and cure someone to walk ? Can you please get this on video... better yet can you just get some random off the street (live) better yet can we pick the disable person for him to heal ?
It may have been a Conversion disorder, a somatoform disorder under DSM-V. That's the only it can make sense.
I may not agree with the beliefs of this video and cringe at some of the footage, but I always believed that EVERY HELP COUNTS and whatever method YWAM is doing and Christian and co. are doing, if it benefits the Filipinos in one way or another, in even the smallest way possible, then that definitely counts.
yooo I know a lot of people who have been in a YWAM program and it's just amazing to see God work through so many people.
I've been following your videos but so far this is the best I've watched. Cheers!
CHRISTIANITY IS NOT A RELIGION, Amen, As Jesus is so are we in this world
So, Do you mean that the world will be a better place with RELIGION.
Religion is bollocks, but JESUS is awesome!
IM FREAKINGLY ADDICTED TO YOUR VLOGS 💘💘
Keep it up and God bless you :-)
Mad respect for you Christian! This is an outstanding vlog. Thank you for the courage to put something like this out! God bless!
I see a lot of negativity in the comments. Lets just respect one another. :)
tru
Like respect they way of living, respect they way of believings? What right you have to go tell others how to live, how to believe?
+asscona78 you are refuting yourself. you are one of those who started shoving your worldview into other's mouths. why can't you also stop telling them how to do things? double standard. you must be kidding or just plain stupid.
Religion is shit to humanity......nuff said
Respect is not a religion very well educated people here.
Christian, and Laura;
I have been following your Vlogs for a while now as you traveled around Southeast Asia as I am heading there this summer on a missions trip to Thailand,Cambodia and Philippines with a Christian organization based in Bangkok.
Do you have any MUST see's in Southeast Asia? With not a whole lot of time to travel, I want to hit up the best spots. I will be travelling end of summer/beginning of fall after my missions trip. I REALLY trust and pray that the Lord will bring me back again to Asia this year or in 2017. Who knows; maybe you guys will be there at the same time as me and we can meet up?
The Lord bless you and keep you, the Lord cause His face to shine upon you, be gracious to you and pour out His peace upon you!
On Christ the solid ROCK i stand;
Kate :-)
Christian giving 200 Dollars to Shaun made my heart hurt! 😭😍❤️ He deserves it! It's not even just about the religion, it's just the fact that he goes out of his way to do something he's passionate about and helping others without asking for anything in return.
Christian by name, Christian by nature :). God bless you, Laura, and the YWAM missionaries'.
"For those who criticize, enjoy your beautiful life, God loves you."
God bless us all.
