HAPPY FRIDAY TRIBE! Hope you all get as many laughs watching this as we did editing it ;) Had a lot of fun working with the city footage as it's so much different than what we are used to! Let us know what you think :D ~Blue & Brady
I’ve watched a dozen sailing series now. Yours is the hands down best. Great combo of personal stories, sailing adventures and destination exposition. Plus best production quality. Hands down.
This video made our day. The contrasting city vs boating life was stark. I could see how you would get awed and yet it was obvious when enough was enough. Shocking how much you loved the little sail boats. Once a sailor, always a sailor. You all are such warm people. I know you all have changed the way I view and live my life. Thank you for that and the positive difference you have made in so many lives. You should be very proud of your contribution.
Long time ago a friend traveled to Brazil. After a couple of weeks he ran out of batteries for his Walkman (Yeah, that long ago). Unfortunately none of the shops in the area of town where he was staying seemed to have them. Not speaking Portuguese, he started asking people. He eventually attracted a small crowd. Everybody was trying to be helpful, trying to breach the language barrier and apparently debating the issue. They called a cab. The cabdriver took him half way across town and dropped him in front of a big shopping mall. A little bit confused about how difficult it was, in these parts of the world, to buy some ordinary batteries he entered the mall, found a shop assistant and to the best of his abilities, explained himself. After some consideration the shop assistant smiled, nodded and told him to follow. He led him through various departments, up the floors into the depths of the mall and introduced him to another shop assistant ... who spoke English. And that man reassured him, that he had come to the best place in town, by far, to buy a proper drum kit. Also, if he was looking for that, they had a huge selection of percussion thingys. Turns out it was not very helpful, to say "I want to buy batteria, batteria". Have a wonderful day you all!
Whoever did the fade from the city to Delos flowing over the waves...... that was freaking POWERFUL. Supremely accentuated the overwhelming power of the city to the calming power of the sea. Well done! You guys and gals are getting just SO good at editing it's a trip to go back to the early days to see how accomplished you become.... every week now I find myself looking forward to putting Delos on the big screen, popcorn and IBC rootbeer in hand..... and chilling just before crashing. It makes for some nice dreams................ Thanks all.
I am enjoying the privilege of being a Paton and watching this episode there and now rewatching it on YT. I’m a big believer in watching each episode at least twice! Each episode is pure magic! The people, the places, the laughter and the joy, especially the joy!
i have yet to find a bunch of sailors that have more fun than delos, the adventures, the people they meet, the cruising, the filming, the editing, the smiles. this channel should be watched more than some of those reality tv shows. my friends and i spend whole days binge watching from the beginning in the winter months, and it never gets old.
Your collective editing skills are improving at leaps. From one video to the next it is not even close. The quality, the storytelling, the framing, the pace. It all jumps head and shoulders above the previous videos. You guys are improving it at surprising pace!
"And to let nature be the soundtrack of our life" - Beautiful poetic piece right in the middle of this episode 20:38 - 21:30 - A magical moment. Totally got me. More of that please :)
It got me as well. I feel like Alex has been saying this all along every episode but with the hard cut and contrast with city/sea it was really emotionally moving. What a curveball and I liked it.
I've watched every Delos and this one was absolutely amazing. Blue! What a wonderful job editing. “Let nature be the soundtrack of our life”. That moment going back and forth with the city sounds and Delos all alone was breath taking. Thank you!
19:40 to 21:30 That was pretty cool: the distinction between the quiet cruiser life and the loud sounds of the city. Pretty thought provoking monologue too and the cuts from the calm of the ocean to chaos of the city... I got goosebumps.
I love the whole Delos crew but after I saw the show of Brian on Uma he became my favorite because it was so kewl he spent his time with them and I know those kids really appreciated it! I love you all but that was SUPER kewl of you Brian..........u got my vote for Kewlest Captain on the Sea! :)
Hi Blue, The chapter on Sao Paulo just took out your cinematic talent. You are very talented in the field of photography and video editing. You could illustrate the difficulty and the difference between your life at sea and the life in a vibrant city. Each episode gets better and more interesting. Many thanks to you and the entire team of Delos
Everytime I hear the intro it makes me wish I was selling through the Caribbean. Just my wife and I and a few beers, maybe some tuna so I could make us some sushi. Just the intro gets me in the mood to sail. It's 3 a.m. and I'm watching, I'll stay up late just to see the new video. Love it.
I just found you guys about a week ago and I’m hooked. You are inspiring me to take steps to absolute freedom from this “matrix”. We are still slightly “locked down” so I’ve binge watched and got to this point already 😳 I am now trying to talk the wifey into buying a sailboat, but with a toddler and two other kids, she thinks I’m crazy. Maybe I am, but until then, I will enjoy watching your adventures. Cheers mates 🍻🍾
Aug 2020. I'm addicted to the story of Delos. From episode one beginning at the dock in Mexico to the most recent videos featuring Baby Nuggs, I just can't get enough of this vibe.
One of your best videos to date. Living at the rock bottom of my life for the last several years, you guys are always an inspiration to me - no matter how bad things get, one never knows what life's amazingness could throw at you around the next corner, next peninsula, cove or cay. Thank you for doing what you do. Wish I could contribute.
where else can you see 41 minutes turned into one, it's magic every friday. great job showing us a snapshot of your lives, and places we may never otherwise get to see.
your absolutely welcome, if you ever make it up the great lakes, and into the north channel in Canada, party's on, and were gonna rip it right through the floor.
I think they may have punked you about the regatta, but you were all troopers and went with it, I'm in stitches over here! What a beautiful city, and to have made such friends there, you are truly 'Living the Life of Riley', sweet.
Well done on that edit around the 20 min mark where you went from the drum line in the park to footage of Delos sailing. That part was amazing....hats off to whom ever designed that part!!
I Live in this city 😁. Just got this channel in my recommendations, already subscribed and watching for some hours lol... Incredible content. Cheers from SP The concrete jungle
I usually find the expensive sailboat videos sort of unrelatable but the quality of production and insane amounts of content are better than any show on any travel type channel, you guy's have set a new bar for the sailing community, extremely cool.
I laughed and smiled and smelled and listened and saw everything as if I was right there with you!! Great job with the editing Blue and Brady! You just get better and better!!
Thank You so very much Delos Crew. I really needed this. Some very good laughs and some beautiful scenery. As well as some weird scenery 😁. Thanks Brian, Brady, Kazza, Leesir and Blue.
IMPRESSIVE! How special a life. To be able to live upon the ocean. To control the noise of our days. And to let nature be the soundtrack of our life. This video is done well enough for an Academy Award.

Watching Sailing SV Delos never fails to delight. The advantage of the daily grind becomes obvious in the pleasant spontaneity of these folks. I don't sail any more, but I love to watch it. Kudos!

“To control the sound of the day” that hit me like a ton of bricks!!!! Soooo well said. I have been there and I have checked off my list and there is. I need to go back
When Brady was talking about his favorite food of Brazil, you guy have eaten food from all over the world plus you make 5 star meals while under way on a long passage. Someone should write a SV Delos cookbook. Who knows you could end up being a foodnetwork star.
I've been living 1 hour away from Sao Paulo by car for the last 4 years and you probably know the city better than me! It was nice to see your perspective
Blue and Delos crew, absolutely amazing edits, so beautiful and very very professional. Lovely lovely and so entertaining. I see a discovery channel documentary in your future. Best to you all. Nobody touches SV Delos for edits and content.

That is a very funny story as the other countries used to refer to drums as batteries.
