Hi James, please consider doing an after the harvest video / video short showing what you do after you harvest whether it is eating the food raw, preparing a dish, sharing with family and friends, preserving, etc. Thank you. P.S. I have been watching your videos for a few years and don't recall such a video, but if it has been made and I missed it, hopefully you will post a link. Although if it has been a while, an updated version may be warranted. Thanks again, and I hope you, Tuck, the unseen camera person and everyone else has a great weekend!

I have been watching you for a little over a year now and have been so inspired. We are now getting ready to start our very first garden in our back yard. At 63 years old and my husband is 71 so it will be interesting to see how it goes. We used to have a 24' round above ground pool that was sunk 2 feet into the ground that has been removed, instead of spending money for fill dirt, we are turning it into a sunken garden , some raised beds, some grow bags and some inground rows is what we have planned. I have learned so much from you and will be using your suggestions for almost all of it.😊 You and Tuck are such a joy to watch, Thank you for all you do .

      You're going to love it!
I'm 66 and have revived some let go beds in the last 4 years since retirement, plus added 2 large raised beds and a raspberry patch and currants too. I collect rain water in a few large watering cans plus 2 big garbage containers. I'm looking after my barely cared for roses now too (even fertilizing) and it's so rewarding to get these fragrant blooms that I can also put in vases as well as enjoy outside. Two years ago I planted 350 tulip and daffodil bulbs. The grow bags and large pots are really useful also. This year I planted most of them with the herb lemon balm as it makes a very healthy tea and is good in salads. Enjoy your journey!

I don't even know where to start...lol I just absolutely love your gardening space. I'm in upstate NY with pretty good farming soil on an acre of land. A good 1/2 acre flat full sun for a food forest😊. As a lot of people during covid, I discovered you and Tuck (along with a couple of other channels). I lost my home and everything in a flood some years ago so I didn't have much to start with but after being diagnosed with a joint disease I was on a journey to grow my own food as I did tons of research and was blown away by what I thought was a healthly diet was so full of chemicals. So I bought a pitch fork, and I had a shovel and started digging. Every try to expand a little. I now have 3 in ground beds, my first Birdies 8 in 1 (and my first attempt at square foot gardening) ordered 4 more with the "Epic" sale, 2 cherry trees, 2 pear put in this year, a honey crisp apple, raspberry, blackberry, strawberries and 2 grapevines. I grow a tons of herbs even during winter months inside. I'm looking forward to getting my 4 new beds set up for hopefully a fall harvest. What prompted my comment, which I don't usually do, is just encourage people to get started!!! Thank you for your inspiring videos❤

I also live in NJ, and cannot fathom how you have so vast a harvest this early in the season, especially when it hasn't been consistently warm. Did you grow a lot in a greenhouse?

I am a new subscriber to your channel, and I'm so glad I found you. My husband and I have been watching your videos over the last week and are so inspired by you and Tuck! We live in Northern Alabama, so definitely a different growing zone than Jersey, but I'm taking lots of notes on garden care. We are beginners, but perhaps a decade from now, our backyard food forest will resemble yours. Many thanks for your time and effort to bring backyard gardening to the masses. I don't know if you've done this in the past, but I would love to see how you use all of your harvests in your meals. Maybe a Tuck and James cooking show??

James! I love to see all of your abundance. This growing season started out great for me, but lately I've had a groundhog and rabbits wipe out so much like cone flowers, Kale, sunflowers, strawberries, peas,, basically anything not in a raised bed. I have plenty of strawberries in hangers, but I have to cover them or the birds will eat them all. Lucky for me, my boy was able to chase away the whistle pig with the aid of his airsoft gun. I don't think he'll be back, but the rabbits are everywhere. Chipmunks are a nuisance as well. I hate to put cages around everything, but I really don't know what else to do. Maybe someone has some advice I have not considered. Oh, the voles, we have those as well. I had to put down hardware cloth and place raised beds in order to grow this years. It is so much work, but I will never stop gardening.

I love how you describe the flavor of everything you try. Can you do a video on re using native soil? How to kill the weeds in the soil for use in the bottoms of raised beds? Thanks!
