I bought a computer at Costco in 2011. By 2012 the hard drive failed. Costco got on the phone with Toshiba and mediated on my behalf every step of the way to make sure Toshiba took care of me. The Costco employee even called me after my computer was returned to make sure everything met my expectations. Even though Costco has a different return policy regarding their electronics, you still have extra protection from Costco. I would definitely buy electronics from Costco again in the future.
I live on my own so my mom asked why I’d get a Costco membership, but I bought one pack of toilet paper for $16 in July 2020 and I’m just now running out!! I do the same with deodorant and toothpaste!
Another Costco hack, if you have a Costco gift card, you can go into the store up to 2 times a year to spend it. So if you ask your mom for Costco gift cards twice a year, then you won’t need a membership at all! Especially if what you are buying lasts 6+ months anyway...
I'm literally sitting here wearing Costco head to toe, eating a Costco Strawberry Sunday watching a video about Costco. Hell, almost everything within arm's reach of me is from Costco.
😂😂
Ditto! Just got home from a costco run wearing costco pants, tank top, and rain coat! Just pulled their ready to heat chicken alfredo out of the oven! 😂😂😂
+1 ...since the pandemic started.
Jason ON, You are talking about my household, are you not?
Our Kirkland cling wrap lasted for 5 years 😳. I felt bad throwing it away, it was like a member of the family...
Ha!! Been there too Lol
gosh I dont even know how long I've had mine for. Problem is, I don't use cling wrap much. I use containers
Wow
That’s 😆!
Remember just because it’s organic it doesn’t mean it’s healthy, you need to read the ingredients if it’s clean.
Yes your totally %100 right, always read the ingredients not the BIG label in the front.
I love Costco! I think another holy grail is their gas. In my town Costco gas is the cheapest. Definitely worth the membership price.
Very true!!! Totally forgot about gas!
@Triciahomes ....here in San Diego you have to insert your membership card before inserting your debit card otherwise, no gas.
@Triciahomes Yes, you do.
Depends on your value of time. The Costco I shop at often has a very long line for gas. To me, that level of savings is not worth waiting 15+ minutes for gas before I go into the store.
Our BJs is much cheaper.
I agree their clothing isn’t always very cute, but I’ve had the best luck with their coats, jackets, and raincoats!
I love their frozen fruit. You can get really good quality organic frozen fruit that is perfect for smoothies.
Thank you for sharing this! I love all the inside info. And heads up...my husband bought that large plastic wrap box too, and we had it so long that I finally decorated the darn thing with contact paper so it was not such an eye sore! Lol
🤭😂
I love these types of videos, they are so helpful! I heard that Costco doesn’t label their aisles because they want you browse through the aisles and purchase things not on your list. They also put the best sellers (TP and the rotisserie chickens) in the back for the same reason. Loved your tips 😊
What’s TP??
As a computer lab tech at a college I can tell you their prices on computers and monitors beats Best Buy 1000 percent. Best deal the Samsung computer monitors under $200 (depends on sale) for 27-28 inch, unbeatable. I have even gotten the 32" for 200.
Yes please do a video sharing your planting research! This year especially I'm sure so many of us would appreciate it
Learned a lot of new things from this, thanks!
Items ending in .97 = final clearance 💡
Costco cake is the best. Love the mousse filling!
plants are always amazing, one of my holy grails for sure!
You could cover the cling wrap with wrapping paper or wallpaper!
Yes return policy is amazing! I’ve returned 2 shark and a dyson vacuum as well and even an outdoor lighted umbrella with no problem! Love their winter coats and pajamas.
As a dedicated Costco customer, I appreciate your knowledge and honesty.
My kids love the play set that I got from Costco. It took my husband and father-in-law almost an entire weekend to assemble it, but it was worth it! My girls play on it everyday, and it has lasted about five years now, but still looks and feels brand new!
good to know!! how old were your girls when you got it?
@@MaiZimmy my oldest was about three, but my nephews were five and seven and they instantly loved it. I think the one I got was better for 5+, but now both of my kids use it really well.
I found your channel through your your holy grails and fails! Obviously I am a huge Costco fan. Everyone at work makes a joke about me being the Costco queen! Thanks for video, I enjoyed it and I will check out some of your other videos. 👍🏽
Fresh flowers are always beautiful & last for a long time.
I live close to Costco but still only go once a month because I always over spend on all the good stuff off they have.
My favorite thing to buy at Costco is almond flour berries and avocado oil
Annie’s organic cheese puffs are amazing. And the cheese popcorn caramel corn mix
A friend had the Costco playset and still looked decent 15 years later.
I like the basic exercise items and the sports bras work for my teenagers.
Kirkland toliet paper is great. Lasts forever.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Love Costco!
Good to know the play set last super long!
Kirkland toliet paper is the best value, I always stock up
I enjoy the hodge podge aisle. I would love to see a gardening video also!
Holy grail food item: whole rotisserie chickens (best value anywhere, hands down) AND the pre-shredded rotisserie chicken in the cold deli case - it costs a little more per ounce, but if you're already planning on shredding up the chicken for use in soups/salads/etc it's so easy and you get a bunch without having to buy multiple chickens.
I loved this video! ❤ I'm subscribing today!
We had that thing of cling wrap, actually I think we still do, and we've had it for a good 3 years or more. 😂😂
I don’t know how you don’t have more subscribers your videos are so well done and super informative I am definitely subscribing!
Thank you!!! That really means a lot 🥰
Completely agree with you regarding their clothes (for women). Mostly frumpy rather than classic.
I would say the swing set is worth it! Especially if your kids play outside. I had a swing set as a kid and it was by far the best thing ever.
apparently excellent quality from name brand manufacturers
My favorite item is their Kirkland diapers🙌🏼 I’ve been buying them since my first baby, have never failed me and save me so much money. And I only eat salmon from Costco lol
For laughs when we actually buy another 30 pounds of plastic wrap I date it to see just how long it takes us to use it, our current is dated December 2014 😂 we don’t use a lot of it
😂😂😂
Yeah but you saved $$$ in the long run
Mine's going on six years of use, and we use some every day!
I was gifted one 2 yrs ago, still have it. The one selling point is the cutter on it.
Support small businesses.
I agree for the most part on Costco clothes, but their wool socks and puffer jackets are great.
Th
I find good pants for me there but everything that i like is in black 🙃
I will only buy large electronics at Costco because of their included extended warranty (don't have to pay extra) and concierge services!
The Kirkland olive oil is very good quality and at a great price. And yes I love the kirkland vodka too!
FlavCity says only the regular kirkland olive oil gets thumbs up. Their organic does not!
@@suzieclary3328 I did not know that so that’s for pointing it out. Thankfully I just get the regular one!
@@suzieclary3328 I think it's the "Extra virgin" olive oil also
@@aznkarebear I think they are both evo. The organic did not pass the same test as the other.
He said the single origin olive oil gets the thumbs up. I bought the organic and it was the wrong one.
I love costco:) It literally is where I prefer to buy everything I need for my husband and our two dogs:) My husband says we don't need food in bulk but I love to freeze it, give some to friends or family etc. Idk exactly what my holy grail is at Costco.....maybe books or cookware haha
I see it all especially since I work there.
I love Costco multi grain bread and the Asiago chicken sausages. Cilantro wontons are pretty good too. The $5 rotisserie chicken is a great deal.
My 2 year old was eating an orange and I explained to her those seeds could become trees. So we planted them, and they are actually growing. I'm completely out of my wheel house with this one. So please do a gardening segment. Could use some tips!
Let us know how it goes!
@@monique7885 They were doing great. We just put all of the seeds in one pot, because I didn't think they would grow. They recently started to out grow the pot so I bought individual pots. Ended up with 11. Since separating them, they have all have started to wither away. Which has sparked another lesson about the circle of life lol.
@@deaddoll7618 aww that’s so sad. I tried to garden myself, but it just didn’t work out how I pictured it. I did get a little bit of lettuce and three cherry tomatoes once🤪🤷🏾♀️
You won’t get oranges unless you graft on to your seedlings in about two years with orange scion. Fun to do.
My husband is obsessed with the frozen shoyu ramen. We got an amazing deal when we needed new tires and they have dog and cat food comparable to taste of the wild, sam's doesn't even carry dry cat food, and they have the flavors our pets prefer too. So much good food stuff, and we just stocked up hard on laundry soap and trash bags when they were on sale 😂
Oh that's weird. Our sams carries dry cat food
Yess please do a gardening video! I desperately need to refresh the look of my front yard! Unfortunately I don't have a green hand, I'm horrible at taking care of plants 😐😐 maybe this year ... 🤞😍
Do you follow Garden Answer channel?
No I've never heard of it. Is it good ?
Yes please do a gardening video. I’m a novice gardener as well.
I love those pajama sets! I have sensitive skin and these feel so good I could stay in them all day!
I’m so glad you mentioned the hard-boiled, peeled eggs. I will make a special trip to Costco for those, Kirkland toilet paper, almonds, and those amazing oatmeal cookie bites.
Hard boiled eggs are generally void of their nutrition due to processing methods.
@@suzieclary3328 Processing any food will affect its nutrients, for sure. They retain plenty to make them worth eating and I think they are delicious! Have a great day!
I vote yes on the gardening video!
I love their clothes lol but they are sized kinda large. Super comfy tho and my kids get cute dresses for better deal then other places. They have awesome jackets & have even found Sanuk flip-flops randomly there. Great video, thanks for the tips! =)
Great video! You should post a video review of your paper towels!
I can’t believe you said “no support” for electronics! They have great technical support via phone, and the additional warranty coverage on electronics that comes with the Executive membership makes it worth it. We always shop Costco first when buying a new computer, printer, or tv. (Current and former employees)
You are a pretty good shopper!!!! Good job!!! I would like to see deals on different items!!!!!
Costco jewelry is of excellent quality. My husband has bought me diamond jewelry from there twice and it comes with the authenticity paperwork for the diamond quality. Great prices, too.
A Costco Employee here in The Central Coast of California for a Decade now... Very much Like the vid!
There’s something about the Costco credit card and renting a car in Europe. When we went to Ireland we rented the car on the Costco credit card and didn’t have to buy car insurance. Costco credit card covered it. Saved us hundreds. Check and verify-terms change and this was about 4 years ago.
I had the exact same experience, and also in Ireland!. Get a copy of the insurance coverage before you go and show it when you pick up your rental. We did have an accident and we were reimbursed the full amount. Very satisfied with the customer support
Visa or mc, maybe others, include insurance coverage when using their card ro rent vehicles.
Hey Mai, love your video. I agree on everything you said 100%. I just wanna add something because i spoke to one of the staff when i was returning some clothing that my husband bought. He bought some pants on a Wednesday, I went to Costco and bought something on Thursday and took a picture of the same pants with the price because I noticed that it was cheaper or price went down. I went to return the same item on a Friday and told them that i took a pix of the price and voila! They gave me a price adjustment. The staff told me that the price of some clothing they marked it down on Thursdays from $5-$10. Since then, shopping at Costco for me is every Thursday😊. Btw, this is in Dallas, Texas.
Thank you for the pro tip!
I bought the plastic wrap and even worse I bought the 18” x 500’ aluminum foil that my poor wife has to ask me to tote from the pantry to the counter because it’s like 100 lbs!
Stretch Wrap comes in a two pack of regular size box’s for the drawer.
Bison burgers, kale salad kit, tamales. Like grandma used to make. They had bomb posole at Christmas too ,
Fully cooked Angus burgers, too.
Tank you, very helpful tips,,just found your channel, just subscribed.
We shop at Costco almost exclusively. Holy grails: beauty products bought online (their website has proven to have some great deals on cosmetics and perfumes), diapers, cooking oil, paper towels, great deals on clothes when bought online with special sales, pasta, kalamata olives, feta cheese, free range eggs, Kerrigold butter, smoked salmon. And a lot more... but these are some of the things we get most regularly and at great prices.
Costco flowers are great quality and great price
Gorgeous roses
Thanks for tips!
Gas,Tires and tire installation. Just amazing
The best!
They have good prices on their car batteries. Much cheaper than buying at the local auto parts store.
$1100 for a playset is almost unheard of!
My mom paid over $3k for my sister’s playset & that was over 5yrs ago!!
But that GRAY TABLE SET OMG!!! 🤯🤯🤯That was soooooooooo beautiful!! I get wipes, feminine products, medicines/vitamins from my local wholesale store as well! Great video!!!😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎
I LOVE the pre-made meals there. The chicken Alfredo is one of our favorites.
Alfredo is SO easy to make. Do buy the Regianno Parmesan, half & half, butter and cooked whole chickens there though.
Wow to me there pre made meals suck I've tried all of them..alfredo sauce is so cheap and easy to make.
The salmon is superb!
Costco is actually known for produce that goes bad within days. My store throws out tons of produce every week.
Agree! Opt buy their produce if we are having a party and going to use it within 2 days. Otherwise it goes bad right away. An exception to this is watermelon.
Where's your Costco?! ;-D
There is no Costco near me but I do have a BJs. I take allergy medicine every night for seasonal allergies and I buy the store brand version of zyrtec and it has 365 tablets so I only have to buy once a year!!
My favorite things to buy in Costco is their Chocolate covered Almonds and La Dolce Vita Biscotti.
Chocolate raisins. 😋
Thanks for the tips! One thing though, I thought Costco electronics had free 2 year warranties. At least that's what their website says, I've never tried it.
That’s my favorite salmon too!!
Costco is my jam! I would add holy grail: Tilliamook Cheese (few places in the south sell this Oregon brand, and it’s a great value for the bigger block), hamburger meat, and organic pasta as three food items I always stock up on.
Yes!
Tillamook is sooo good!!
I love that people from the South get to experience Tillamook!! I'm from the PNW and this is my favorite cheese brand, ever!! :)
They do factory tours and tastings and have an outlet store if you're ever in Tillamook, OR.
@@jenlav182 same. I’m about an 1.5 hours from tillamook. Their ice cream is so good too (and sour cream) 💕
@@jenlav182 we have been on those tours!!! 😁
Organic Spring mix salad is cheapest in town and always tastes so fresh! I use it in smoothies
We have a Grocery Outlet that has the O Spring Mix cheaper. Costco's used to be 2.5lb for $3 50. It's down to 1lb for $5. G Outlet's is 1lb for $4.
Kirkland Dog Food in those huge bags are a holy grail for my family. They have great ingredients and are ranked very high among veterinarians. No Alpo or Pedigree junk 🤮
I just bought my lab her first bag of kirkland, she'll be trying it soon. It has probiotics which she needs and quality ingredients
Funny. Agree on 5 yr supply of tin foil I still have in pantry. My favorite foods are the organic chicken nuggets, coffee, berries, grapes, and my fav is the hummus and veggie tray. I'll eat on that for 6 meals!.
On the play set, I would look on neighborhood app or fb marketplace. People like me give away their barely used $1K sets once their 9 yr old prefers zip lines over forts. :)
I love getting maple syrup, Rao sauce, monk fruit sweetener but I can’t find it anymore, almond flour, beef sticks, and I just got a 3 pack of decorative hand soup the bottles are beautiful, and I did get a nice woman’s summer pajamas set it came with shorts capri pants and two tops nice set very comfy! Hope they have more when I go back and I’m so glad I picked up two beach chairs just need beach towels! And that vodka with some truly for our summer vacation 👍
I just watched a video where a woman bought the plastic wrap when her baby was born and she is still using it. Her baby just turned 16 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
😂😂😅😅😫😫😆😆
That would be me.
I love Costco. Toilet Paper & Paper Towels.
Flowers, Pharmacy prices for Pets, Shoes, Office Supplies, Vaccines prices are reasonable $15.
While the return policy isn’t the same with electronics, 90 days is still significantly more than most places. Most have a month or even less in some cases to return items, and some require the item to be in brand new condition. If you know exactly what you want, it’s not a huge deal, but if you’re trying things out, you kinda have to know what you want beforehand at some of these places. Costco has a time limit of 90 days, but the item doesn’t have to be in brand new condition.
I love Costco Spa Finder gift cards
I adore smoked whitefish salad, and the Blue Hill Bay Smoked Whitefish Salad on a toasted onion bagel . . . mmmmm.....
The kirklands cold brew in the can is my holy grail. Some of my Costco’s discontinued carrying it so I’m the next state over trying to buy a couple cases if I can find it
Costco’s electronic return policy is 90 DAYS ! Other places including Best Buys is only 14 days!! And most of Costco’s TVs and laptops are made specifically for Costco so they won’t have the same model numbers as other retailers. Making it hard to price match.
Our store offers lifetime tech support. I use it all the time. Not sure where that came from that they do not have it. Ask your store before you buy. We buy all electronics from there mainly because of the tech support.
Thanks alot, just for fun wanna share something: when you said supposibly, instead of instead of 'supposedly' at 07:08, I lost it🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 it reminded me of Joey and Chandler's talk about this grammatical mistake🤣🤣🤣🤣
Don't mind just something funny😄😄😄💪💪
Generally agree on the women’s fashion lol. I do buy my socks from there when they go on sale. Last time I got the 6-pack puma socks for $9 :) I love looking thru their kitchen appliances. I’ve gotten some great deals over the years. I’m still working thru the 3 pack of press and seal cling wrap I purchased almost SEVEN years ago 😭 I remember because I had just started my current job and that was July 2014...
I also got my car thru Costco?? I am a terrible negotiator so it saved me a lot of hassle and the price I paid was absolutely lower than what I would have been able to negotiate.
Something you don’t want to know about your husband, ‘“My husband is nuts for nuts...”😂
I wish they had green signs on the organic products in the Canadian Costco's. That would be so wonderful.
I like the bedding mostly the blankets.
OMG I so feel you about the cling wrap. I have one of those giant rolls, and I swear I've had it like 10 years. I'll probably have it until the day I die, honestly 😂
I've moved with that giant cling wrap like 6 times. It's a PAIN to move!
I live about a mile from Costco. You talked me into signing up.
Yea I love Costco and there stuff is good quality .
I eat one pack of kiwis 🥝 a week so I go there just to buy two. Spinach and broccoli I switch greens for meal plan every other week as well so I buy those big ones. Last items I buy there regularly are boxes of liters of oat and soymilk as well as bags of frozen fruits/berries fir smoothies. I generally buy my supplements online but I’m gonna start getting protein from Costco.
The Latte Premier Protein drink is very good, imo. Don't care for the Peaches & Cream.
Costco has the best bakery of all the big box stores, whether it is pies, cakes or cookies they are the best. I enjoyed your overview also. I have all 3 big box memberships but if I could only have one it would be Costco. It is my favorite.
I get a kick out of seeing all the VERY large apple pies (and turkeys) in carts exiting the store during Thanksgiving and Christmas weeks.
We love Costco. We live 1.5 hours away but we get toilet paper...paper towels... meat.....and Kirkland zertec meds... I have to take 2 pills a day and its so much cheaper here and works the same. I'm so happy to get them here forsure
I only watched this video to shop while at work 🤣🤣🤣
I disagree about women's clothing. They carry good brands like addias, puma, nautica, fila. I like their sports wear especially their hoodies and joggers. They always carry nice jackets. I own so many for every season. I love their PJ'S. They carry name brand jeans. Costco is my go to for clothes bc their return policy is so great. If I changed my mind about something or got something in the wrong size I can easily return it.
I agree 100%. Got a great raincoat 3 yrs ago and always buy 2-3 prs of pj’s when they have them.
I do have all the women's Adidas clothing.
Ugh we can't liquor in our state outside the state store. It's extremely annoying. But otherwise I'm getting excited about Costco now, we use my in-laws BJs membership but this store may even be better!
Oh and if you ever do one of these on BJs, baby clearance stuff is amazing, we got a 2T winter jacket and snow pants set (for next winter of course) for $17, Carter's brand, I was so impressed!
I’ve never heard of BJs before? Must not be in my state??
Do you happen to know where all the returned merchandise ends up for the Costco's in your area.
Merchandise with damaged or opened packaging usually gets pulled as well.
In my area it's a liquidation store. All clothes are half off. Everything else is 30% off.
Would love a gardening video
I don't generally like Costco clothes. Here are the exceptions:
Levi's jeans
Sketcher's leggings
32 Degree fleece jackets (like wearing a cloud)
Us men love them leggings too!
I love Costco, unfortunately our closest Costco is about an hour and a half away, so I don't get there often....Definitely do a video on gardening and any info you learn, I'd like to convert my black thumb into a green one, if at all possible! 🤔😄
Costco ships things. I do it all the time.
