Hi Dave, what an amazing video! I have a question, is it possible to turn a fragranced shower gel into a perfume? There's this shower gel with a scent that I love soo much and would be great if I have the perfume version of it. If so, please make the tutorial video of it or let me know here? Thank you so much!
The question is, does it have the technique of fixing the perfume completely, or does it fix each one separately? for example It has a special fixer for the summit It has a special fixator of the heart It has a fixator for the base ?? I want an answer to explain it to me with representation, thank you.

Also what kind of alcohol should use? Denatured? Ive heard that has a bit of a smell. Or straight ethanol at 190 or 200 proof? What provides the most sillage and longevity?
200 proof is Perfumers Alcohol. It is the best. Alcohol, no matter what kind provides NO sillage or longevity at all. That is not its purpose or property. Dave

My teacher, I want the correct fixative for every major note.? For example, a wooden formula, what kind of fixative is it? For example, the fixative, the appropriate components formula? I think and I think I made it clear to you very well my respected teacher.
I would take me years to answer that question. There is NO correct fixative for each major note. It does not work that way. You can choose from 30 or more fixatives that would work with a Wood Note. Most wood aroma chemicals have fixative properties.
I give you even the phone number. I am a talented little designer, but he was talking very quickly. I understood only one or two names. Please, my brother, send me all the fixatives materials. I will send you the number in order to exchange my brother's information. 00213792215049
@@DenverDave Another question, my respected teacher. Thank you for interacting with me and you answered me. Of fixatives studied by us. How do we choose the fixative for perfume? On what basis, for example, do we installed a 505 fixative, for example? And the example of the rest of the fasteners. I ask you to explain each fixative with the appropriate components. Thanks, sir.
@@DenverDave In other words, honorable sir. How to choose the appropriate fixative for each formula. Show me what notes or rules on which to choose fixative the perfume? Hi Dave, interesting video! With what do you cut your fixatives? (PA?). And more generic, where i live it can get very warm in summer. How do you store all you bottles/formulas? Room temp or fridge?
I do not cut my fixatives. You can, if you want, to 20%. I live in a basement, and it is very cool. I store at room temp. I am so glad you are here!!!! Dave
Why you channel is so underrated? A lots of needed information ! Can you please tell me, for example, I made a perfume from oils and alcohols and I want to use one of this fixatives, how long does the last? At least 5 hours maybe ? Does it has any difference in which moment I will add this fixative to the ready alcohol based perfume? ^^
There is no answer for this. It is completely up to you. You can use all fixatives in one formula if you want! I promise there is NO real recommendation on this. You can use one material for the entire formula if you want, like ISO E Super for example. You don't HAVE TO have top, middle and base notes in a formula. Thank you so much for watching!!!!! Dave
It depends on what you are using it for. If you are making a perfume do NOT cut it with oil. Cut is with perfumers alcohol. If you are making perfume OIL then cut it with jojoba oil or something . It might help to watch some of the basics videos. I go over this in many of those videos. You cut a material by weight. Say, 20% then weigh out 1gram of material and 4grams of perfumers alcohol. Now you have cut your material to 20%.
Hello Dave, thanks for your video. I am newbie in perfume and I have a question. I have various fragrance oil already formulated that I want to turn into an alcohol base perfume, do I need to put a fixative in the mixture? Which want will you recommend that will not alter thier respective scent?
The best fixative with almost no aroma is going to be Hercolyn D. You do not NEED to add a fixative. Many aroma chemicals are long lasting, but it depends on your formula. Thank you for watching! Dave
Tip about dilution of materials, from my own personal experience so far: you should dilute those materials you have the potential to most easily overdose in your formula. In other words, those materials you use at the smallest dosages. It's not uncommon to have 10-20% of a formula be Iso E Super/Timbersilk/Sylvamber. It's also not uncommon to have 20-30% of a formula be Hedione (or Hedione HC, the high-cis variety that smells even better). So for those materials, I don't dilute them at all. The same goes for materials I might use at 3% or above, such as Veramoss and Bergamot, for example, but also Cashmeran. Some materials, however, are extremely powerful and must be used in dilution, because if you put them in neat, they can easily be overdosed. Examples include Geosmin, Civettone, Aldehyde C-12 MNA, most aldehydes, various powerful/animalic musks, Aurantiol. These materials I would use in the 1% to 10% dilution ranges, depending on the material, and put them at 0.1-1% of fragrance concentrate. Hope this helps. Cheers.
Hi Dave. Nice video. It’s very informative! Thank so much for sharing! Im not sure if you said Frankincense. Are any of these Fixatives Natural? If there’s such a thing. Thanks again Dave.
Frankincense is a fixative and natural. Other natural fixatives are clearwood, patchouli, & myrrh to list a few. Note not all of these are in the kit listed here. Dave

Iso e super can be used as a fixative but will have an aroma (max of 24% in the final product). One that does not have an aroma is Hercolyn D. This is a really good fixative! Dave
I saw almost all your videos. I need a advice from you .i have a plan to make a candle jars to sell to the stores .do i have to use aroma oils or natural oils or synthetic oils because it is cheaper. Synthetic where i can find it. Thanks

Hay man how can I make a water base perfume
The best way it to add polysorbate 80. Use equal parts to the undiluted fragrance formula, then add distilled water and 5% liquid germall plus. Dave
