Quick question, are the dorsal fins supposed to be really bright when using the fins lights slider? When I set that slider to 1, the entire body becomes illuminated from the inside instead of just the fins like you have in this video.
@@abdullahakhtar8364 There will be some light spilling into other parts of the body. I also rendered the video in Cycles. If you're in EEVEE or shaded view mode then things will look a little different.

nice can you mabye help me how to make like godzilla glow effect start from tail to head please because I cant find a tutorial for that and what ever I try noting works
If you download it you can see how I set it up. Basically, I used the emission map to instead control the translucency. I then placed a light inside each fin and used drivers to control their intensity. so I then have a slider on the rig that makes the glow start at the tail rather than just fading in all at once.
The model has a built-in setup for it. You just select one of the spine bones, press N to bring up the properties, enable the atomic breath, and set the start and end points for it.
Can you make a tutorial on how to download it an like enable the animations so it will also have the atomic breath I am having trouble. Please And Thank You also I am a big fan!
The rig is hidden by default. Turn on its viewport visibility in the outliner. The reason I did that was that if I didn't, there would be two versions of the rig displayed when I linked it into a new scene and made a proxy.
hey, uhm i did the missing files thing then one issue came up is that the fin glows whenever i switched to the textured tab to see the textures all fin lights are on 0 though
I don't have time to do a tutorial, but you can download the model to see how I did the fins lighting up. For the breath itself, that was a super basic effect that I just threw in quickly. I just made a long narrow cone with some noise textures animated to give variation and then rendered that separately in EEVEE. I'd go for something more advanced another time. Maybe look at the Saber plugin for After Effects.
@@Crispy_VFX I answered that on Rebelion's comment. But it's a translucency map with lights inside each fin that have their intensity driven by a property on the rig.
Dear Mr Adrian, I request you to please post a complete tutorial on this godzilla atomic breath animation. I don't know how to make it. I am a budding youtuber interested to make animation short films like this so Please consider. Thanks Stephen

I'm afraid I do not have time between my full-time job and my personal projects to do any tutorials. The best I can suggest is that you browse RUclips for tutorials that cover similar subjects. They'll probably also be better at explaining these things than I would be.
@@AdrianParkinsonFilms Hey Adrian, thanks for the reply. Pls hear my request. It takes hours only for beginners whereas it takes a few minutes for pro like you to teach having the models also available. All I ask is only the procedural atomic breath from the tail and the blow from the mouth follows the mouth's movement. I have sought many videos in RUclips but found nothing like yours. It looks very professional and very much realistic in your video. Please help. You can post even after a week time. I can wait. Please consider my request. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏.

How do you keyframe the dorsal fins to light up?
@@virzayukarsa1721 If you select any of the spine bones then a slider will appear in the control panel to set how lit up they are.

Finally! There’s a Godzilla animator that can actually animate the atomic breath dorsal fins light up properly!
Haha! Yeah, everyone just makes them all fade in at once, which I can totally understand as it's much simpler.

I'm not going to do a tutorial. Select one of the spine bones, press N, go into the bone properties and just animate the spine glow value.
thx you so mUCH@@AdrianParkinsonFilms
how do i move the body parts of the model?
cuz i dont see any rigs on it

also when i move the rigs they stretch and how do i disable it?
@@KanMuraF1 Stretch is enabled by default in Rigify rigs. There's a slider called "IK Stretch" that you can use to disable it if you want.
how did u animated the atomic breath Charging ?
U should some create some monster fights with these kind of amazing lighting and movement
Thanks. I'd like to try some more animations soon.

This is better rig animation than the ape vs monster which is the copy of godzilla vs kong.
