Hi there, I have been writing out the bible, Genesis took me seven months, but that was fine. I'm now just into Exodus and loving every minute of it. I loved your point one, of following the scribs of old. I will take up your challenge of writing out Psalm 23 ☺️❤️
Hi Lynie, this is so beautiful and thank you for commenting. I think I will follow your lead and start writing out the bible starting from Genesis. God bless you!
@@HeartofRefuge8 thank you for the lovely comments. It's good to hear you would like to start at Genesis. I have been doing videos to show my progress 😊❤️
I just started November 1 writing a proverb every day and next month will try to write another book. Thanks for reminding us of the benefits 😊 it’s relaxing and peaceful!
This really works! I attended a parochial school when I was a kid. I used writing to memorize the Catechism, hymns, and Scripture. We had to write the punctuation exactly as written. We used capitalized He, Him, Lord, Thy and Thine when writing it out. I used to hate that school, but now I appreciate it so much. I can still remember hymns. I can’t always remember chapter and verse, but I remember enough phrases in the Bible to be able to look it up in a concordance. Not bad for a 66 year old woman who graduated from Elementary school 53 years ago! You can do it!
About five years ago, I read a missionary biography where they challenged the remote church leaders to read Romans 20 times and then write it out the book. Though cults and traditional leaders argued against Christian beliefs, the church leaders who read Romans 20 times and wrote it out were able to defend fundamental Christian against counterfeits. I have been doing this practice since then. And plan to continue. Recently, I completed the gospel of John then decided to read my copy slowly at night. Reading my handwritten copy is refreshing and bringing more insights. God’s Word is such a gift to us! As you probably know, punctuation, chapters, verses, and paragraphs were added for our ease of passage usage and understanding but were not part of the original language. Important, yes! Inspired, no.
I started prayer journaling along with my Bible reading and some days I don’t have a lot to say so I write some scripture that comes to my mind or look some up and then my brain is full of thoughts and things to say in my prayer journal to God. I love this and one time I did a Bible study and the instructor had us write out the book of James so I did that one but now I want to write out the Bible, you’ve inspired me. Thanks. I don’t like my writing so a client of mine told me to get some different calligraphy pens and see if that helps and it does. My writing looks so much better! They have some that are thin and with colors too. Thanks for the tips!
So tickled to find someone on RUclips encouraging people to actually copy YHWH's Written Word, rather than studying and copying what others have studied! I have been doing this myself for sometime now and learning so much truth and not the sugar coatings taught by many popular people. Since I started learning the Biblical Hebrew, it has really brought Scriptures to life! Starting with the beginning! I also change from a black pen to Red when Heavenly Father is speaking so His Words stand out. I also write the chapter and verse numbers in a different color (green) Blessings to you and your!
Thank you for this video. I have been doing this for sometime now. Basically I thought by doing so I would reap all the benefits you mentioned. I did not know the Deuteronomy verse you mentioned and I am glad to read that. I have to say many people I have mentioned this to have looked at me kind of weird. I have written most of the New Testament and am in the middle of Psalms now. So many times I have to stop and investigate the meaning of what I am writing which has led me to new understanding. So thank you for your encouragement.
Just seeing you video for the first time. I want to write my favorite book of the Bible - Hebrews. Thank you for the six benefits. Writing from Charlotte, NC.
I like this idea. I'm going to start! I'm also going to make a journal specifically for writing scripture. Thank you for the wonderful video. Writing from Conway, Arkansas.
I really enjoy ur channel! you speak slowly and I can keep up with what you are saying. thank you!!! for taking the time to teach me scripture writing and it's benefits. God bless you!
Great video Jenny. I practice scripture writing. I’ve gotten a little lax this summer with the busyness of life. This encourages me to get to it and stuck to it!!
Thank you so much for explaining about scripture writing. I write out scriptures daily. I’m so very blessed to have the six benefits of scripture writing. I have been focusing on Ephesians too! I also made those prayers as my own as Paul did for Ephesus. How do I add my name to your list?
This is great advice, I will start writing scripture as well. I would like to know what notebook you are using in this video. I am a notebook fanatic and yours looks more narrowed ruled then most. Please let me know. Thank you.
Hello, I really enjoyed your thorough explanation regarding the benefits of scripture writing. What do you do with all the journal books that you accumulate?
This is wonderful. I am a note taker at church every Sunday and notes from Sunday School. It certainly does help with memory. I’ve never done this but I plan to start this also. God bless you!!!
I have just this month doing a Scripture Writing plan and I am wondering if it is better to write a book of the Bible or try a couple of Scripture Writing plans instead? Please let me know God bless from Kingston,Ontario Canada
I personally prefer writing out a book of the bible as it helps with the continuity of the theme or story. If I am writing out verses it would have to be verses about a topic, for example, Love. hope this helps
