This exam is doable. It’s tough but fair. You can do this!!! Practice with at least 5 old exams. Write, speak, listen and read Chemistry - even if it’s watching this video, saying answers out loud and writing notes.
I’ve been studying non stop and watching your videos, on the practice regents that I’ve taken I haven’t gotten anything below a 94. Hopefully I could get a 100 on the regents!!
hi the night before the test i was very stressed and felt like i was going to fail, i watched a lot of your videos and actually understood so much and im so grateful for you because today i found out I actually passed with a 75, i want to say thank you so much and have a good summer !
I'm so glad you found the videos helpful. And that's awesome. You passed and with a 75 says you really did put in the work. Congratulations! [NOTE: I apologize for the delay in responding - I had to pack up to change classrooms and I've taken some time to breathe after the school year ended]
A special thanks to you so much. Honestly im not discrediting my teacher but the way you explain the material is so much better. I cram for the exam the week before the exam which was today and what I’ve learned during the one week was honestly more than what ive learn the whole year. Your videos help alot. I’ll update my score when results are out.
Thank you so much for your kind words. I really appreciate them. I try my best as a teacher and it’s nice to know I am helping students. I hope you did really well.
For the table G question in 1:45:20, how do you know if I have to find the unsaturated solution or the saturated solution? Or is it always that I have to find the saturated solution?
You don't always have to find the saturated solution but it is the most common. For question 42 in the video (at the time you posted), the question says saturated so I know. But, for question 39 (at the same time), it asks for heterogeneous. That means NOT all of it will dissolve. In that case, you will be looking for supersaturated. The things to be careful for are -- make sure the question is using 100 grams of water. If not, you have to make adjustments and always compare the point (temperature and grams on the graph) to the line -- so is the point above, below or on the line. I hope that helps.
No - saturated means the solution is holding the maximum amount of solute at that temperature and pressure. On table g, when a solution is saturated, the point is on the line. Saturated is a solution - a homogenous mixture of the solute (whatever salt was added) and the solvent (water). It can also be written as (aq)
There are some in this video (ruclips.net/video/AKd64PxjqD8/видео.htmlsi=1wn0ueOOZD2cnebR) --- is this what you mean? There are also examples in this video: ruclips.net/video/U3jggp288e8/видео.htmlsi=N0_vue5W3WlWCWjz Let me know if these help!
@@ImagineJenkins hello again thank you now I know how to mole questions. I have one more question do you any videos on like voltaic cell and electrolytic cells I forgot how to identify the anode and cathode on both of them?
This video gives a summary of both electrolytic and voltaic cells: ruclips.net/video/9JvjSr5NnOs/видео.htmlsi=Rll6aXzKQPX_Vmf1 This is just about voltaic: ruclips.net/video/6aDSCrPv-F8/видео.htmlsi=Ja_9wwgL4paJqU3f and this is just about electrolytic: ruclips.net/video/2QYQjwors_I/видео.htmlsi=AfNjsSDcimPzgs39 I hope that helps!
You are so welcome. I’m glad you find it helpful. Electrolytes are substances that conduct electricity only when they are dissolved in water. There are three types of electrolytes. Acids. Bases. Salts. When they are dissolved in water, they dissociate or separate into ions. The ions can move around in the water and moving charges conduct electricity. More ions means a better conductor. A better electrolyte. So if you dissolve more salt, the electrolyte will be stronger.
I’m going to try. I have a couple of appointments today and there is the Ken and Friends concert live streaming at 7 pm EST and I cannot miss that. I may be able to do an hour for any last minute questions - say maybe 5:30 pm
I would recommend watching the exam review (the walk-throughs) starting with January 2024 and going backward. Old exams give a good idea of question format and topics. This is the January 2024 exam - ruclips.net/video/qoJE8G_ZiSc/видео.htmlsi=CiEQcUIAc9ap0VHz I always recommend going through at least 5 - 8 old exams for the best preparation. I hope that helps.
Thank you anything else because I have a regents this Thursday and I feel like I won’t have enough time to prepare so do u think I should try to learn as much topics I can or have a different stargy
@@targetfc1051 I think reviewing with old exams is the best strategy this close to the exam unless there is a specific topic you know you need to review (like REDOX or how to calculate average atomic mass, for example). Reviewing with old exams provides the best review of a wide variety of topics, which is probably most efficient right now.
Conservation of mass/ matter, energy and charge. For mass - the masses on both sides of the equation must be equal For energy - temperature is NOT a form of energy - it is a measure of average kinetic energy. Also - thermal energy is associated with motion of particles Charge - be able to look at the particles and charges on both sides of the equation and be able to find the equation where both sides are equal
@@ImagineJenkins So conservation is the amount that is equal on reactant and product and types of energy to remember is average kinetic energy, thermal, electromagnetic?
@fortnitesweatkid know that pressure and volume are inverse so if one goes up, the other goes downward but the others are all direct relationships so if one goes up, so does the other.
Just came back from failing lol, I definitely failed it but it’s ok. My average for the whole year has been pretty good but I’m a poor science test taker, thanks for the videos tho! They were very informative and helpful for studying!
I would say see if the school will give you a copy of your answer sheet so you can see where you lost points and focus your studying there. I tell my students the best practicing comes if you read, write, listen and speak. So, for example, watch a video, read questions out loud, write down things you need to remember, have someone quiz you. How many exam did you review with before June?

That's a pretty good number of exams. Don't be too hard on yourself. It is a tough exam. I would aim to go through 5 - 8 exams (it can be the same ones), but make sure you are taking notes about what you need to know. Truly writing on pen and paper really helps.
