The 2023 US Open main draw runs from August 28 - September 10 in New York City at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. The tournament takes place for the 143rd time and is the fourth and final Grand Slam of the year. Last year, Spain's Carlos Alcaraz and Poland's Iga Swiatek claimed the men's and women's singles titles. It was both players' first US Open title, with Alcaraz winning his first Grand Slam title and Swiatek winning her third Grand Slam title. Ostapenko wasn’t able to fully read coco’s movements or tactics unlike with iga she knew where to hit hard but with coco , she was grasping😮
She would have won this match if the schedule didn't favor Gauff. Jelena Ostapenko simply wasn't fully recovered after her previous 3 matches while Gauff was.

@@ig6894 She also played doubles and all her matches were night matches while all Gauff's matches were day matches. Gauff had more time to recover than Ostapenko and like I said poor scheduling affected her game.

Now this is the match i wanted to see.
They have to do something about the issue with the partial shadows and the sun blinding the players. They both could not see well and the heat is of course another huge issue. Maybe it's time to move the dates of the games due to the effects of global warming.

She give up so many points on very casual approaches. This is not hate, this is simply an observation. On the forehand side specifically, she gives up free points on a regular rally ball. I'm no pro, I'm simply saying the forehand side is the most important in the game. Can't give so many loose points on the forehand side.
