Just come across your channel; watched 2 of your videos and subscribed. I’ve been a (serious) amateur woodworker for over 45 years - you can imagine how woodworking has changed in that time. I remember the first electric drill which was just about affordable. But the biggest single change has been adhesives. When I started, you had to use mechanical joints (eg dovetails, wedged tenons) because adhesives just were relatively unreliable. Now, dovetails fall into the vanity category; some people like them but they are not needed. After retiring, we converted a large barn that we had owned with the design that we would move in. Had to get builders in to do all the heavy work but it’s left me to do all the bits I enjoy. With the barn, comes a new, much larger workshop. I admire the work that has gone into your tool wall - but it would drive me crazy. you like having things to hand and, for a business, that makes sense. I can’t stand dusty tools and so I am building (or converting used office storage) closed storage for everything. It will take me longer to get a tool that I need but my OCD means that I won’t have any dusty tools. Horses for courses!
Wish we had a detailed video of holders. Love seeing creativity and even simple things. From how you hung your hand planes sideways to the simple shelf your glues bottles are sitting.
I know it’s a little over done on other channels, but I would really like to see how you’ve hung the tools up. It’s cool to see how neat everything is, but I’d like more details. I’ve recently changed jobs and become a cabinet and furniture maker, so would appreciate the tips. Thanks.
Great shop, love the channel. You’re an inspiration and your content is so easy to watch. Could you do a video on your current shop lighting? Yours is unlike most others I see. Thanks sir.
Wow I've watched most of your videos and just amazing!!! I love your workshop the layout and size is very enviable, a shop tour one day would be very interesting, ok well done and look fwd to your next online treat, cheers
Hey Nick, Finally got time to go back over the rest of your older videos today. Have to say your workshop storage is a great background for your videos. Can I ask, in your current videos the lighting is far moodier which highlights the work topic. Was that intentional? It does make the viewer focus on what you are working on instead of what's in the background. James
I had an issue with my Festool guide rail not being straight and Festool told me it was because I stored it as you have, on edge. I think it was never straight and the way I stored it had nothing to do with it. In the end the retailer agreed to replace it, but for other reasons. And I am not sure it matters anyway. At the time of the issue, Festool’s policy was there is no warranty on guide rails. Zero months, zero days, zero minutes, zero seconds. As soon as you left the retailer, that was it.
I watched one video then went back to your earliest. You clearly already have way more money than every single woodworker I've seen on RUclips in the past two years so I've decided not to subscribe.
G'day Nick, heard you while catching up on the Shop Stool Podcast this morning. I'm just down the road in Chatswood, so great to see a local professional maker in action. Beautiful portfolio of work you've got here. Awesome setup, your clamp rack is about the size of my workshop 😅
How is there only 249k subscribers to this channel??!!!
Easily one of the best craftsman on RUclips!
I was thinking the same thing. Far better than black tail and four eyes.

You can literally see how he hangs them in the video.....
I have clamp envy...
That's all very nice. Perhaps the nicest thing in that video is the ROOOOM that you have. Nice floorspace.

That is fantastic. Very inspiring. Thanks for sharing.
My pleasure. Thanks for the great comment!
I’m so excited to do something like this
I would love a tour of the whole shop! I'm all about organization and I would love to see how you decided to organize yours.

No hay mejor vocación que hacer el oficio que a uno le gusta
Can you include how you design and cut out the templates you use when making furniture?
Nice

Beauttiful woodwork, Please let me know where did you buy the clamp for your slidding table saw. thanks
I love it! I am going to try and do something similar in my shop (smaller scale though), any lessons learned or tips that would be helpful?
Me encanta uuuuaaaauuuuu
Am I dreaming?!
what size is your shop?
Que suerte......
Oh If I only had 10 ft and a wall....
😍
😊👍🏻
you probably built the tool wall yourself but you didnt make a video of the build? =( =( =( =( how could you deprive us from that ? =( =(
sploosh
👍
Have 'nuff tools?
Never!
I got dizzy watching this guy walk back and forth
I didn't know I was a jealous person...
The approximate cost of all these tools?
A lot
Hi, what are the fixings that you're using to hold the hand saws and planes? thanks.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😭
un quadro....
That's way too many clamps.
Man thought you were going to talk about it not just load it, what a bore.

Because this is his living. I know plenty of cabinet makers with many more tools haha
Why would u care how much money he has? He made all his money it wasn’t just a accident.
Rich kid shop. There is no way you paid for that shop with your work.
The salt is strong with this one.
wooow it looks so cool👌

😍
First time I see so big clamps! Awesome wall !!
Super!
Love craftsmanship and design of your pieces. What table saw are you using? Have not seen it here in the States. 👍
Too much empty space, too much walking, disturbs workflow. Same on max 10 feet is cool, 30 feet is just non-sense.
