Have to say I like the way Mitch does a presentation. Its not endless playing of obnoxious crap. He explains what he is doing, illustrates it well, and critiques it right then and there in clear guitar player talk. Really appreciate the intelligent and concise approach!
crazy but true: the Boss OD-1X actually is not too compressed while still adding sustain and note to note control: at milder settings its like a Blues Driver Deluxe: bass n treb controls! Im keeping mine, and the DA-2 !!
Just orderd one new 146€s delivered, having found a used DA-2 for 60 bucks earlier, I have had Mi Audio CrossOver before but it was ( with my Mad Prof Simble) kinda too much sag n sensitivity n CONTROL MADness..., yes too much of something is too much! Im used to digitalness throu my Peavey Bandit( well some circuits ) and my multieffect ZOOM G2, I have basic solid state amps, and many pedals and Ive learned that digi/analog probably s getting more foothold the further the development develops, ha....., Im kinda heading for more straightforward/simple style ( my heavy lead tones from the ZOOM G2 are a bit too diggy...), but I can handle clearish jazz/blue tone without the cost n wear of a valve amp..., WHhat Im thinking and saying is I could catch a breath or break IF THESE BOSS peds would work good with me! I really dig( ha ) the ZOOM G2`s tones!!!!!!!!the amp models are just tones instead of: NOW its this amp, lots of parameters....and this cab.....with these speakers....., Im feeling partial to the OD-1X for I just bought it and I already have aye BOSS Dst ped DA-2, goodnight, its a heatwave here in Finland 10.6., K :)
These pedals have a very “artificial” sound to them. But at least it is a different take on od/distortion, which we should appreciate... I am tired of getting yet another screamer or marshall-in-a-box pedal.
ok,each to its own, Im kinda tired of tube amp guitarists stomping on any kinda od/dist/fuzz peddal thinkking their 5000 tube amp "warmth" ll shine thru.............well it doesnt,.... well, it might be a "complex " OMG, tone/sound, but its got nuth to do with pubes d, and what is the sweet spot, our ears, ... BK, I wont keep you posted cause you think the od sound artificial, , Im soo glad I have gathered 8 ZOOM G2s over the years ( DISCONTINUED...) , AN ARTIFACT OF SHEER BRILLIANCE!

The best Ds-1x demo I've seen so far. Playing a fluid-like lead on the highest setting is what I've been looking for.

I have the DS-1x pedal. It's awesome!
You do good reviews.
He is a good guy
