Sensibly, because when a person of good health goes out and interacts with a-Symptomatic individuals, they can bring the virus home with them which puts those at risk that they live with in jeopardy. If your wife had an auto immune disease would you force her to quarantine alone for a month? Or would you choose to stay in a hotel, while you worked, in order keep them safe? Could you afford living in a hotel for a month after being out of work during previous quarantine. I certainly wouldn't pay to stay in a hotel for a month, and for many Americans it is just not financially possible. I would love to go back to work, and really need to in order to support myself. However we are in a state of national crisis. Even as a low risk citizen that contracts the virus, you can still have serious health repercussions. Damage to your respiratory system, especially after being put on a respirator is common in recovered patients, and complete loss of sense of smell and taste.

Heard an interview recently with an elementary school teacher. She was initially asked when was the Declaration of Independence signed. Her response was "17 something". She then stated her goal in school is to teach the young ones about "social justice", a term Mao used quite a bit during China's Cultural Revolution. That's scary.
