Whistler actually uses the same sounds as Windows 2000 builds 1983-2000.
3:29 For some clarification, the shutdown sound was used for Whistler is the BeOS startup sound or called as "12StrStart".
5:09 Reversed Windows Vista animation sound

2:42 Winblows XP(fake OS) startup and shutdown sounds
These fake sound from Windows 2000 Beta 3 (build 1946) are Fan-made, It was some random theme from the ThemeWorld
The sounds and the theme were made by Marco Van Hirtum from the Netherlands! ;)
5:06 where did the logo go??!
Windows 1.0 and 2.0 fake sounds came from Aqwert76’s Windows Never Released 8.
I doubt that, but okay
It actually originates from a pitch-shifted version of windows 95. Yes, the video had the fake sound.
Actually Windows Me later uses Windows 2000 RTM Startup/Shutdown sounds.
Plus Windows 7 uses Windows Vista sounds.
Windows NT 5.0 Actually had 2 fake shutdown sounds, one of which was included in this video which was actually the Windows 2000 Build 1946-1969 Startup Sound, the other fake shutdown sound was the NT 5.0 Startup sound in reverse.
The fake Windows Whistler shutdown sound is one of the sounds used on BeOS. The fake startup sound is a mixture of Windows sounds between Windows 98, Windows CE, and Windows 2000.
Windows CE is not included in the fake whistler startup sound. It is the Microsoft entertainment pack sound.
I have a feeling that they are people who used the reversed version of Windows NT 5.0's startup as the shutdown sound
Windows threshold is a build for 10 development. It is cancalled os.
Threshold was not cancelled. That was the codename for the original version of windows 10.
I'm so pleased when I hear sounds 2:32
5:08 I never heard ANYONE say that Vista Beta 2 Used this As the shutdown sound.
The fake Interface Manager startup sound is taken from Macintosh, except at the 3/8 (three eighths) of the original speed.

Actually Windows Me Startup and Shutdown sound is introduced in Windows 2000 build 2020.1
The second variation of windows 3.0 Startup/Shutdown is the second variation of windows 1.0/2.0 startup shutdown sound, just low pitched.
windows vista beta 2 uses the vista rtm logoff sound as the shutdown sound
and the fake vista beta 2 shutdown sound isn't the reversed startup,it's the fake longhorn's shutdown
0:13 There is a version of Windows 3.0 called Windows 3.0 with Multimedia extensions that have Startup/Shutdown sound effects. (they aren't the sounds used in vid)
My reaction to the Longhorn sound being fake: How many other lies have i been told by the council?
1:57 startup and shutdown fake sounds look like ThemeWorld
They are themeworld sounds
Windows Longhorn also used a mix of Windows Vista sounds
for me the fake win neptune shutdown sound sounds like mastercard logo from sln group
Also 0:32 is made from pitching down 0:25.
Just to let you know, the fake Windows Whistler Shutdown sound, came from BeOS as the 2nd variation of the Startup.
1:56 is actually probably a Microsoft Plus for Windows 98 (?) theme.
