Special uncles/aunts are important for kids- and being a parent is hard, so I applaud you for knowing yourself well enough to decide that it isn’t for you. Not everyone needs to have kids!
Hi Max and Vincent, loving the cardigan and beautiful works in progress. Congratulations n the birth of your nephew. So happy you had a good time in San Francisco. Have a wonderful week ❤❤❤
I'm happy you had a good time in SF, I haven't been in years & I only live about 2.5 hours away (mostly due to the major homeless situation, long story), but I'll drive less than an hour to Yosemite anytime!! I may need to take a trip to Oakland though!! LOVE Szechuan peppercorns!! Yes!! It's, um, different!! You have to get used to it! 😂🤣😂 PS: I purchased a "stash enhancer" & asked for moody.....I felt like I got a gift from a best friend!!! It was PERFECT!
So lovely to spend time with you two. Vincent, congratulations on your new Uncle status. I also think you are doing a great job with your sewing. You both fill me with so much inspiration, your knits are wonderful. Take care
LisaR : That blue is gorgeous on you- My 28 yr son has same Hair & skin tone - needs a change from deep reds & that's just the right color/ style .You both have great taste :) Congrats on your new addition-enjoy being the coolest fav Uncles ( every kid should have one , two He's twice as loved!)
My daughters lives in San Francisco just north of the park. I always walk to firebird yarns and shop and have all their fun enamel pins. It’s a nice little yarn shop.
My daughter lives in Mile End and was without power for 3 days! San Francisco is such a great city. My favourite restaurant there is Hog Island Oyster Co. in the Ferry Market Building. Their seafood stew is totally amazing!
I’m from Tennessee and know all about freezing rain. We had the big ice storm of ‘94. I lived on 10 acres and it was mostly wooded. I could hear all of the trees breaking and we didn’t have power for two weeks. It was horrid!
Love this episode! I have been trying to knit my partner ( a big Montreal fan - not just Hockey) a garment and finally I said while I was watching this "how about a Montrealer sweater in a colour way Called Edith Butler?" and he said Yes!!! yay!! I have been with him over 30 years and he finally said yes to a knitted garment!!! He also loves Edith Butler. Thanks guys!!!! So many great ideas and patterns.❤
Thanks for another great episode. Love the Bumpy cardigan - can’t wait for the pattern release and the opportunity to buy your yarn to make it - maybe a kit? Thanks again, you both make me smile.
I feel your pain about the ice storm. I moved to Oklahoma during the pandemic and there was a freak ice storm at the beginning of October! The leaves were still on the trees, so the branches were extra heavy and all came crashing down. I had no power or heat or internet for 9 days! I will always remember how cold I was. Right after we thawed out, I became a knitter.
I get a similar sensation from eating mangoes (which is an allergy), but then my whole face gets itchy and my lips swell, and i get hives all over my upper body. But yeah, feels like battery acid LOL (kiwi and lobster too). I'm glad it was just a temporary thing for you! That ice storm was something. (I'm in Gatineau). I was lucky and didn't lose power, but my brother and most of my local friends did for two-three days. Mine flickered a bit, but never went all the way off. LOTS of downed trees along the trails this week :(
Max, I am also a collector of bags as well as yarn! I agree with the bag needing to match the project. ☺️ I also collect patterns. 🤣 Now to find the time to put them all to use. 🤗🧶
I was visiting DC last October and went to Space Fiber as well and it totally made me feel warm and fuzzy knowing that Michelle Obama had stood there too! 😊 Hope you enjoyed your visit!
Max! I ordered Fuwa Fuwa in coral and dyed in the wool ghost ranch to knit your Moonbumps wrap! My yarn arrives on Monday. I can’t wait to get started. I am pretty fast but not sure I’ll finish by the end of the month! Maybe. ❤

love the new moonbump cardigan!!!
Omg the freezing rain sounds like hell. We have it here, but not nearly to that extreme. Traffic is pretty much the only thing it's a problem for.
We’d love to see you in the Okanagan Valley Max! Join the knit and chat at my LYS, Kelowna Yarn! And winery tours! We’ll show you a good time!🧶🍾

You are both so much fun! Loved the episode. Beautiful shawl and cardigan. Really enjoying the moonbumps kal!
Mais oui, you can, indeed, purchase the hot pin-up pins online! I just bought the two to be shipped. Thank you for sharing your talent, wit, and love.

"you didn't bring me to Washington ..." , Love it . Sorry Vincent :(
Weird weather. I am on Vancouver island in BC and we had snow yesterday that is unheard of in april

Scrumptiouspurl has the striped sock yarn like the one you showed in the show, but it is from Canada.
I was away for both ice storms. I can't wait for the second mystery box 🙂 it sounds like you guys had a nice trip.
Winged it, Wang It, Wung it....dealer's' choice

I remember the ice storm from 98 .
