Please do not criticize Becka for making a basket for her 17 year old, I did it and my kids loved it and yes we went to church and they knew what Easter was about, she is a single mom does not need your judgement over a fun video. Take care and stay safe Becka you did great. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you Diana ♥️ Debbie love that you do that! Honestly my kids will likely get a little something even when they come over as adults. I’m a giver, it brings me joy 🥰
You're doing the right thing, Easter is turning into Christmas with some people with all the stuff they buy their kids. I just buy a few clothes and a Cadbury Easter egg and that's it.
My daughter is 5 and I got her some chocolates, 2 Barbie eggs that have pets in them, 2 coloring books ($.98 each) & little note pads that were either $.98 or $1. Then I got pencils and more candy for my Sunday school kids. My stepson is 18 and in college so I always cash app him some $ lol. When he lived with us I filled his basket with candy, a pair of jeans and a few $. Doesn’t take much, kids just want to know you thought of them & you love them❤
I am a single mom of 7 kids and they are older kids and I still make them Easter baskets i will always make some kinda Easter baskets I don’t care how old they are ❤
I love what you did for your kids for Easter, and I know they will love their baskets too! You could have done what many do, and just made huge baskets, filled with dollar store junk, that they likely wont use, but instead, you were intentional! You chose a bigger item you knew they would each enjoy, and then made them a basket of treats! That's such a smart idea, and way less clutter, and money wasted on random things they might not use! I'm new here, and really enjoyed this, so I subbed, and look forward to seeing more of your content!
I saw those cute little bunny buckets at Dollar Tree. Now I’m kicking myself for not getting them😂 They look so cute all filled. Minimal Easter here too for my 3 boys. Thanks for sharing♥️
My daughter is a year & a half. I got her 2 outfits, bubbles, a few snacks, a new sippy cup, some little fidget toys, coloring books & markers. Also some little figurines. :)
I watched this video right after it came out and forgot to comment ~ sorry! 😊 I always kept the baskets for my 2 kids simple too, and they always loved anything and everything they got. Becka, you did a great job! Your boys will love them! ❤️ 😊
We got the boys, my niece and nephew and sister Easter candy this year. Don't ever feel bad for getting ur oldest a Easter basket. Makes them feel like a kid again.
I have always filled a basket on Easter for both of my boys with items that are age appropriate. What is the problem filling a basket with things your children will enjoy at whatever age they are? After all it's just a vessel for candy, gifts, etc. Great video Becka!
Cute baskets. I would do a scavenger hunt when my boys were young. Now I do it for the grandkids. Their dad gets so excited and wants to join in. I still do a little something for my boys. They are grown and gone. My youngest is military and doesn’t live nearby. I’ll send him something and he appreciates it, no matter how goofy it is. It’s a little love from home. I’m glad you still include your oldest. I’d never stop doing something small for him. I’m sure he’ll always remember it and never forget the little things you do for him.
Yes and I’m setting an example for him for when he has a family one day. It never hurts to make someone feel special ♥️ You sound like a pretty awesome mom and grandmother friend! 🥰
I have been a single income since my son was born. He has always had a small Easter basket. His favorite part has always been going on a scavenger hunt to "Find" his hidden basket!
When my kids were young, we took a mini-vacay and I always had a bowl of Easter candies (jelly beans and Cadbury cream eggs) and a choc. bunny for each...made vacation more special.
Hey Becka, I love learning what’s in your kids’ easter baskets and their preferences when it comes to candy and other items in the basket. ❤️ I love all kinds of candy including sour, sweet, and savory. You’re right, memories are the most important thing not the objects or what you can buy your kids. I don’t even remember what my parents bought me for Christmas or any other holiday as a child I just remember the memories.
We always went to church on Easter Sunday. After church we would have an Easter egg hunt, then to my Grandma's to eat with relatives. As you the kids won't remember what they got but the memories made. We still do an egg hunt for the Littles and have a meal around lunch time. That way if some have more places to go they won't feel rushed.
Love that Frances! Sounds like a wonderful day filled with so many memories made 🥰 I love doing the egg hunt, I’ll do it even when I’m a grandma. The light in their eyes is so heart warming!
Girl you did a amazing job. The best memories i have of easter is finding my basket hidden somewhere in the house. The big chocolate bunny and jelly beans and making colored eggs. What sweet memories ur doin w the boys. 💜💜💜
Thank you friend! 🥰 I love that you had to find your basket! That is so cute! I literally don’t remember anything but candy and being with family! Such a good time always.
Thank you for this video ❤️ really made me feel better. It’s sad we think we have to buy a bunch of things for each holiday. But we do. It’s the small things that matter!
I absolutely love what you did for your beautiful boys for Easter 🐣 that was perfect and what you said its the memories you all make together not the chocolate. I absolutely loved seeing you had a basket for Colby 🥰 our 21 year old was home on the weekend as she lives 2 1/2 hours away in Perth as she is at University I gave her some easter eggs when she was home as I wont see her for Easter 😞 There were 10 chocolate eggs in a egg crate, she said go hide them Mum 🤣🤣🤣 I love it, I still hid them when she was 18 and still at home ♥️♥️ our other daughter is nearly an 18 year old can have hers at Easter 🥰🥰 HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE warm wishes from Western Australia 🇦🇺 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Hi there from Germany! Just wanted to share my point of view. We don't do easter baskets only the egg hunt. There we hide real colored eggs and chocolate eggs and of course a chocolate bunny and maybe also very small toys. Like my 4 year old got three match cars and a pencil that looks like a Hammer. So when I saw those RUclips easter videos I thought they mistook easter for Christmas. I think you are doing it just right it's all about the memories. But it's also about to what you compare it to. To me your boys get really big gifts and they can consider themselves lucky. Thanks for sharing!
Hello Becka iam Possum from Australia and I can relate to having a tight budget iam live on a pension so when it comes to different seasons such has Easter Christmas I keep low key with the budget but lately with everything going up in price the budget is important I think you are doing a great job caring for your children take care have a happy Easter Possum 😊🇱🇷
Candy is the traditional Easter celebration with the exception of the Holy Day, people put so much pressure on parents to buy buy buy! Kids love candy and perhaps 1 toy, that should be enough. I make a bunny Easter Cake and decorate it with the kids plus cup cakes as well as they help dye Easter eggs. You are so right it is the memories! I wish people would stop trying to outdo one another. I would rather save the money and take my 2 to an event or activity at a later date. You did a great job!
I agree with most of what you said. I don’t believe people are trying to outdo each other. Some people have the money and are giver’s in life. It depends on what works for each family. Her baskets were perfect I don’t feel like it was minimal at all
they're going to LOVE those i think you got them plenty and exactly they're going to remember the memories not things i got all jess's basket at the dollar tree spent less than 50 including a visa gift card i got somewhere else she cant really have candy she's diabetic as well :( so i get her like the little snack bags of beef jerky and slim jims which she loves and trail mix banana chips things that wont raise her blood sugar too much i think you did a great job!
The Easter baskets are absolutely gorgeous, all of them will extremely happy with the contents. We used to put a drink and carrot out for the Easter bunny, and the excitement on their faces when they saw he'd stopped for a snack was beautiful. Have a wonderful week 💞
I am so with you! My 14 year old son gets candy and a sweatshirt he has wanted for awhile, and my 3 year old daughter is getting a little mini cook set I found on clearance at Burlington for $3! And of course, candy! You are right, it's the memories. Easter brunch and egg hunts are the highlight of the day. ❤
Love that! Love a good brunch date! Yes I don’t think it would ever be right to leave a kid out because of their age. Teenagers need to feel special too ♥️
My kids are 14 and 17. They get an Easter basket every year. Guess what, I make one for my parents as well! Everyone enjoys a happy and a surprise. Good job, Mom.
Thank you 🥰 Love that you do that for your parents too. I think that’s the point that some are missing, making someone feel loved and special is priceless at any age ♥️
Easter baskets, egg hunts, and all that are important and definitely make memories for the kids. However- if it were not for Jesus we would not have a holiday to begin with.
Easter for me as a child was never an Easter basket it was a new outfit and going to church, not sure that Easter Baskets are a thing here in the UK however, I’m sure it soon will be we seem to be veering more towards the “ American” style of holidays now 😂
That’s interesting that you guys are starting to pick up more American traditions. Do you hate that? I always have to remind myself that some traditions aren’t worldwide.
@@sincerelybecka3 no wouldn’t say I hate it it’s just different and the children love it so a win win really, you spoke about taking the boys to the local Easter Egg hunt, we do our own for the grandchildren it’s always fun, we have a place near the sea and lots of family all get together to hide the clues and treats for them then we have an egg dump ( have you heard of that?) it’s where you make hard boiled eggs each person holds their egg and taps the other persons the object is the winner is the one that ends with no cracked egg, sounds strange as I’m typing it but the children love it
That sounds like so much fun! My kids would love that! We do an egg hunt at home the morning of, but our community also does a few big egg hunts for the local kids that we join in on 🥰

Thank you Diana ♥️

My mom still does the same thing!! Love following you on RUclips
The basket for a 17 year old is a bit for younger kids. My son is 17.

Those Easter baskets are adorable! I had similar baskets for my kids last year.

My kids are all grown up but we would make Easter cookies and they liked m and ms reeses pieces and Cadbury eggs
Love that! What wonderful memories I’m sure they have! Also Cadbury eggs are my favorite!
Nice baskets. We go simple too. It is about the resurrection, not Easter bunnies.
You're doing a great job.
Thank you Kimberly ♥️
It can be about both
I normally do outdoor things in our Easter basket. New swimsuit, water balloons, bubbles. I prefer simple.
Love that Brittany. I actually got them a blow up Dino one year that hooks up to the sprinkler. Kind of just depends what I find that year.
Great video. I’m going to do my 1st Easter basket in many years for our granddaughter. She’s 3 now so I think she’ll be more excited for it now.
I’m sure she loved it! ♥️

So true! They never remember what was in their basket. Their hyped for the egg hunt.
