Indeed one of the best AOR/WestCoast ballads of all times! Marks strong voice, JR:s out-of-this-world drumming and Steve Lukathers geniously soulful guitarsolo makes this into one of my all-time-high! :-)
Yes John Robinson. He's got a credit list a mile long. Memorable Michael Jackson beats, Brothers Johnson, Rufus and on and on. JR is the originator of a pop/funk style complementing the hook in many monster pop/funk hits. Look up Brothers Johnson "Stomp" for good JR example. Or the Brothers Johnson's version of "Strawberry Letter 23".
Open my eyes, show me every mistake Is a word to the wise Just a little too late Tonight, to hold what I'm losing CHORUS: I must be blind I must be dreaming I was sure the world was mine I never thought I'd see you leaving Now, I see I must be blind Out on the street Every step is so clear A fool is complete when he thinks he can heat The truth in the lie that he's living CHORUS Tonight, to hold what I'm losing... CHORUS
Great Album! The drummer almost replaced Jeff Porcaro in Toto. His name is David Robinson. He would have been a great choice also! But Simon Phillips is a legend!
Fantastic song!

Westcoast AOR!! Pure magic
Escuché muchísimo este tema, su composición es simplemente una obra de arte. Top de CCM junto a Avion con Berlín Wall.
