Cesium chloride has the body-centred cubic structure. The eight corners of the cube are occupied by Chloride. Cesium occupies the centre of body of the cube. Similarly cesium occupies the corners of a cube and chloride is at the centre of that cube.
It can be seen from the figure that number of chloride ions surrounding a particular cesium ion is 8. Similarly, the number of cesium ions surrounding a particular chloride ion would be 8. Hence, the co-ordination number of chloride as well as cesium ion is 8.
The number of units of Cs+ and Cl- per unit is one. Other substances showing this type of structure are Cesium (CsBr) bromide and Thallium chloride (TlCl).

Please correct CsCl is simple cube.
The atoms at body center and corner has to same for BCC.
Lattice + basis is crystal structure here in case of cscl in the basis there is Cl atom
true
Exactly. Atleast it can be said as two interpretating Simple cubic structure.
It was well defined explanation. Thank you..
This is wrong. CsCl has simple cubic structure.
Cl not present in centre cs is present in centre
Thanks sri
Explanation is not match with vedio pls correct it
cl not present at center of structure
structure centered on Cs come not a cl
Vice versa
Please don't make videos on the basis of half knowledge. CsCl is simple Cubic, not BCC.
