Thank you for this Andrew it needed to be done! I find it so ironic that Gatland says he appreciates Morgan's attacking play but his defensive play needs work, when Wales at the moment are failing miserably in both areas. Morgan is strong with slick hands and good gas with ball in hand. Proven himself to be a reliable tackler and exceptional jackler, his turnover ability is an obvious defensive skill in itself. The omission of this guy in the Wales squad is either just shallow because he doesn't have the physical profile for Gatland's liking or it is personal and he doesn't like the trial by media he has had being constantly questioned (rightly so) about not picking him, and Morgan hinting a couple of times that he believes himself that he might have done enough. The current management team are stuck in the mud and we all know we arent going anywhere with the dinosaurs in charge. GET HIM IN THE SQUAD ALREADY.
Gatland has always been an idiot when it comes to selections, when we were actually decent if he had actually picked form players we probably could have gone even further
He's a part of the culture of Welsh rugby that's been failing for a long time l, coaches and coaches sons get places in academy squads who are nothing really special, they get the relevant training end up being moderately good if less club level or lower Welsh rugby is fucked because of bad management and bad coaching on lower leagues grassroots
@@davidevenden9294 Yes because they think he has a plan, after another 5 defeats, next aus test, the reds game and the Autumn they might start to reconsider in time for the Six nations next year
This guy looks impressive. There have been some decent number 8s overlooked in a few squads this summer. Seems coaches want all round back row instead of an old school out and out 8s.
probably, Gatland likes having huge players. The only other player of Morris' stature in the current Wales squad at backrow is Reffell, and he's just a better player
You really have to wonder what Morris and the Ospreys have done to piss off Gats so much. Easily the best Welsh region this year, least call ups for the Welsh squad going to Australia. Absolute piss take.

Loads of the Ospreys squad are currently overlooked - Keiran Williams, Dan Edwards, Harri Deaves, James Fender to name a few
He gives me Thomas Waldron x Sam Simmonds vibes 😂
He will be capped in the next Six Nations when Gatland gets the sack this Autumn for losing every match this year
Gatlands probably got the WRU over a barrel and made it too expensive to sack him.
@@AlphaNevada123 yeah i genuienly think he just came back for a few easy paychecks before he retires
@AlphaNevada123 he offered to resign after the Italy defeat. WRU refused it plain blank. Shambles.

Morgan Morris would be the ideal 12 for garlands gameplan

Quality, defo should be playing in a Red shirt 🏴😘
I love your videos
Beast. 👌
I think it's his size. Similar to John Hodnett not being called up.

Great tackler, strong ball carrier and a turnover machine. What more could you want?

Does he rub Warren the wrong way?
Looks like a turnover machine to me.
