Good to hear realism here. There is an avalanche of blatant corruption and bald faced lies in the world. I watched a video about ‘slums’ in china. Every scooter that passed the videographer was electric. As I was watching, I thought, “this is a very quiet area.” It was the absence of gas powered scooters. There were people walking but another 40% rode electric scooters.
I don't know much about China's energy source do they generate their electricity from nuclear primarily like France? or coal? "France derives about 70% of its electricity from nuclear energy"
Albert- It’s NOT about science. And it’s NOT about “climate change,” and I think you know that. GOD is in charge of the weather. And if I read Revelation correctly, GOD is going to increase the literal temperature quite a bit, so much that the men accustomed to cursing Him will curse Him even more loudly! The further the world turns from the true GOD, the closer we are to the return of Christ, so maranatha, come Lord Jesus! I enjoy your commentaries!
@ I’m a believer, not a doubter. At 81 it’s amazing how many “impossible “ prophecies have come to pass in my lifetime- such as the rebirth of Israel in 1948. The discovery of the DNA helix turned the sterile “theory of evolution “ on its head. AI is now making all sorts of prophetic events possible. You are welcome to be a doubter, but I suspect that God takes no pleasure in doubters. Do you even believe in heaven and hell? I left the church long ago and no longer keep up with what’s in vogue.
@@robmoore8393 I'm unfamiliar with his specific eschatology but I know he did an interview with the guy who wrote, "The Rise and Fall of Dispensationalism". He could be a Historic Premillennialist which still views Revelation as yet future, but I'm not sure. The stronger reformed you are, the less likely you are to be even Historic Premil. Amil is sort of the default position.
@@Bobbychildree oh, absolutely I believe in heaven and hell. I love the Lord with all my heart. I used to be a strong proponent of the futurist view, and a near term pessimist through and through. Thankfully, the Lord allowed me to experience other flavors of our faith and freed me from the pessimism of Premil dispensational theology. I love the older generation and admire your faith, but respectfully, there are serious problems with your hermeneutics. They have led to the deterioration of Christianity in our modern age. As the fruit of it is borne after many generations, my generation is starting to pull away with a stronger, more robust, and more historically grounded view on these matters, and I praise God for that.
As Thomas Sowell says, there are no absolute solutions, just tradeoffs. The many problems involved with EVs have yet to be solved (charging ports, thermal runaway, limited travel distance between charging, the cost of battery replacement, the reluctance of body shops to repair damaged EVs). These problems can be resolved in time but not without a huge monetary investment especially in developing new types of batteries that eliminate the problems associated with lithium-ion batteries.. Whether we are in a race against time is largely up to debate as is the role of mankind in climate change. The return of the Christ will far more influence the destruction of the earth than your neighbor’s EV.
The ruling elite need some existential threat to point to, as part of the 'post war consensus'. This creates a positive argument for our need to have huge wealth disparities, to create a ruling class, to fund and tackle these 'problems'. This in turn gives government the ability to print money, and makes their pockets a reservoir, creating scarcity of money and helping normalize a positive 'philanthropic' narrative.
As Christians, we are called to be stewards of God's creation (Genesis 1:28). Climate change is a global and deliberate issue, and while international agreements like the $300 billion financing deal are important, we must ensure that solutions uphold justice, responsibility, and care for the poor (Micah 6:8)
Tesla model Y is the bestselling car in the world. I don't think people need coercion to by "an EV" if it is a Tesla. Don't get car news form legacy media, it will mislead you just like it does for any other subject.
The Tesla may be the bestselling electric car, but Ford sold 573,370 units of its heavyweight truck in the first nine months of 2023. By contrast, Tesla sold 394,497 units total in all of 2022. So I’d bet that double the number of trucks were purchased. 1.2 million people bought a new EV last year. That’s out of 15.5 million vehicles purchased. About 93% of vehicle sales were gas powered. I’m sticking with that, thanks. I like being able to fill up in five minutes and know how far I’m going.
Most Americans cannot afford a Tesla. God is in control. Since CO2 is vital for photosynthesis, it is hard to accept that it causes climate change. Finally, scientific understanding is constantly changing. There is always uncertainty in scientific pronouncements.
Thanks

I don't believe Mr. Mohler reads Revelation that way, and neither do I. Increasingly there are fewer who do, praise God.

I'm not familiar with how Albert reads it? allegorically?

Liberal,socialist view.
Give scientists enough money, they can prove anything to be true.
