So nice to see and hear people taking the time to speak, to listen to each other, to ponder... Rather than the ultra formatted interviews we're allowed to see nowadays ! I love it when not every punch line has been rehearsed and every laugh directed !
I am happy to have seen this Clip. In the Movie, George runs His Rolls into the Police Cruiser, and we never get to hear the end of the Song of the Opening Music.
Very sorry Dinah had lost her singing voice. And we knew not then Julie would lose hers too. But while Julie had her voice she was always an extraordinary amazing singer, dancer and is still an amazing actor and voice over actor!! 2 things I have noticed in these archive films is that Julie did not like to sign autographs, see her body language, and she did not like interviewers that constantly asked the same questions and are interrupting her answers!! She always came across as a lady and she put up with a lot over the years. Totally hilarious the first time I saw her use the F bomb!! So funny and bold Miss Andrews!! LOL Brava!! That song she sang from 10, she also sang as background for Blake's Bithday film with her, and I find it very touching. 💞
After reading the comments, I'm glad that it wasn't just my own observation of Ms. Shore's interviewing technique. She was not the interviewing type. I thought that Julie and Blake handled it rather well.
Dinah Shore’s interviewing style probably was not that odd for that time, but it seems so awkward now. Julie Andrews, however, is just a class act through and through and tolerates it all. I hated that song she sang though, lyrically. Ugh. But I still love Julie because she’s just pure perfection.
This interview should have been an amazing one given that Julie, Dudley, Blake, Henry being present; however, the interviewer was just a bore..Julie was totally charming during the whole thing and kept it lively.
It can't be easy to sing a duet with Andrews even if you have a professionally trained voice. Now there a plenty who have either the voice or the 'game' to make it work, but Moore has to be painfully aware he's not among them.
Genial he visto película muchas veces me he reído lo que quise❤❤❤❤

I felt like she was flirting with all the guys her body language, and the different way she spoke to the guys.

Indeed, it's a terrible song, and not just lyrically. As much as I (still) like the movie, the songs have always been, for me, a real weak spot.
I agree with everything you said. And I want to add my personal " ugh" to that song!
Watched this only to see Dudley and Julie. Ughh on the interviewer Dinah.

Gosh, the interview sections were so painful to watch...super awkward..Julie finally had to say...you keep saying watch the movie...LOL>
I agree Dinah isn't the best interviewer and it is slowtv also :D
@@julieandrewsadmirersgroup7290 I cant believe Dinah was on the air for so many decades! haha
