Avaa, Thunderground thuriday is my favourite series on your channel, i’m so grateful that this channel introduced me to Lauren Auder, who’s now one of my favourite artists, and it looks like you’ve gone and done it again with this one ! Just finished the album and Don’t might be my favourite song of the year so far
AVAA, it's so great to see this criminally underrated band get a shoutout on such a big platform. Hopefully this gets more people onto them because they're really something special! Don't forget to check out their fantastic debut album (self-titled) alongside this new one. Enjoy!
Love your style prof! I find myself in bathrobe, enjoying my garden on a glorious sunny Melbourne morning. Have listened to the album and heartily concur with you! Shared with my millennial daughter who I’m sure will get it too. I know that you specialise in the new and don’t often go backwards but I’m still going to suggest Courtney Barnett avant gardener a song that gives me similar vibes to this album. Please continue being you!
AVAA. have to say that i actually followed you for the new music recs in the post punk/indie/rock/etc spheres - and i get most excited when i see one of them pop up! i've looked up and loved bands like geese and english teacher after watching your vids on them. this band seems like they might join the list
Im watching this specifically bc I listened to the album once through, thought it was good, but only 2-3 tracks really stood out to me. Lots of times, hearing other ppl’s insight and opinions makes me appreciate it more, so hopefully that’s the case!
My aoty so far. Same realm as English Teacher, but the post-rock-y influence is what seals the deal for me. Fantastic evolution from their debut. And I‘m 100% with you, this album need way more exposure. Ona different note: same goes for Fat Dog‘s debut as well. Brilliantly chaotic windmill band as well. AVAA 🙏🏻
Just found Honeyglaze today and listened through twice...And was as blown away as you. I'm reminded of the first time I heard Blonde and Radiohead...They got some magik!
AVAA! I saw the video you posted on instagram n decided to give this album a spin. i LOVED it! Thank you for recommending. I couldn‘t make it through the first two songs during my first listen and had to listen back 7 times haha! Never had a honey glazed donut so i might try that one next
AVAA! I think personally I used to watch your videos after I had already heard the music because I thought your videos were more than an analysis rather than a review of something I could listen to later. I started seeing you reviewed an album and then telling myself I would listen to later but then forgot about it all together. since Ive noticed that, Ive been watching your videos, getting super hyped and then listening to the music and its been a much better system. idk if thats just me tho
rock is cool, but if you want to hear a "rap album of the year" contender, please review Phiik & Lungs' Carrot Season, I think you'll have interesting things to say about their rapping styles. AVAA
AVAA. So I didn't know about Honeyglaze and the reel about this album on IG did, in fact, get me to listen to the album and it is great. Top 20 of the year for me without a doubt. Anyone who likes BCNR would find lots to love about this one.
AVAA, wouls be super sick to see you talk about Foxing, they're another contender for (emo / noise) rock album of the year and there's not many people talking about them :(
AVAA can you please make a video about W.H. Lung- every inch of earth pulsates i think it’s a fantastic album it’s a kind of indie rock/pop take on the crossover between lcd soundsystem, new order and depeche mode with some shoegaze thrown in for good measure.
AAVA Skye! I have a rec, Naima Bock just released her second album: Below a massive dark land. It’s a beautiful folk rock album, lots of collaboration between London musicians with Naima bock’s beautiful songwriting at the helm, check it out!
AVAA, cool to discover new albums ! By the way would you be interested in reviewing Mustafa album which has just been released, an artist from Toronto with very touching music on grief and life I think it could be interesting
AAVA. Have you reviewed any of Mustafa's music yet? His new album "Dunya" just dropped today. But you should also check out "When Smoke Rises" (SO ILL). Project folk music, poetic and raw. Look it up!
AVAA, if i could put the beauty of glazed donuts into words, i believe i would fall short and end up dissrespecting them. Glazed donuts are the best donuts, period
I would LOVE if you did a review of angelica garcia's new album "gemelo". I discovered her like a month ago and immediately became obsessed. Give it a listen! I'm sure it'll have your baby grooving. AVAA
If you like this one you should listen to the albums that came out this year by the bands plantoid and dark dazey. Both are great sounds coming from new bands
I don’t know if you’re still making content involving Ye, but I think he’s doing some cool stuff in China right now and has been previewing some new solo music. It’d be awesome to see a professor Skye analysis of the stage design, performance and new album
How dare you claim its the best rock album of the year. Fair it is an amazing album and one would feel like it should. But the real best rock album of the year is Rapture Waltz by Johnny manchild and the poor bastards. Give them a shot Im sure youll fall in love. Its very cerebral hard rock.
Yelling at chirping finches on your back porch in a bathrobe......this channel is getting more and more adorably suburban by the day! AVAA 🙂
I love honeyglaze I’m absolutely obsessed. They just popped up on my Spotify one day and I immediately listened all the way through. 🖤🖤

Also since you talked about drumming for a little while.. do you have any thoughts on Neil Peart from Rush?
AAVA, this now serves as a review channel & a music discovery channel… i'm gonna give them a listen😅

If you want something to start with, i'd recommend the songs Paloma and color de color!!
If you like this one you should listen to the albums that came out this year by the bands plantoid and dark dazey. Both are great sounds coming from new bands
Dude this is so insane my band is gonna open for Dark Dazey in like a month and i was listening to their new album and it’s awesome
@@ronnieDshman18 they’re great, the narcs album is a great one by them too! All these new psyche bands popping up is great
Plantoid are superb. Really hoping to catch them at some point.
@@blaineholt1589 yeah that EP is way closer to our sound so it’ll be kind of an interested lineup. They’re an awesome band
Damn, blast from the past.... Daddy's junky music. AVAA
Do you have tinnitus professor?
AVAA food clickbait always gets me. if you don't think we'll care, call the album better than a beloved food.
Day 346 of Asking you to Review Achilles Come Down by Gang of Youth
