It worked for me, thanks a lot mate! The process is very confusing and requires a smartphone and computer. MyGovID doesn't work as expected and I got my ID after spending hours.
The biggest issue I found was initially trying to do it all on my phone - following the links online to log in to MyGov and then back to the app, getting codes etc VERY confusing and far too much back and forth. Definitely NOT user friendly! Finally got it after watching your video here - because I realized the back and forth on the phone missed the most important page, that ABRS page to get the number! Also, important to CHECK each doc scan - I found often the scan missed details and then said it could not match. Thanks for this video!
It'd be great if it actually worked. Have been trying for an hour now and every time i click continue (use online registration) I'm sent back to start where I need to my details in again. I've just wasted an hour (on Saturday) i'm never gotta get back. Not impressed at all!
I work for the ATO and ABRS you can just ring up and we can do an application for you, takes 10-15 mins. They need to make in more user friendly in my opinion. I'm sorry you have had trouble but It is a legal requirement to have one by 30th Nov :)

I have only bank details but they ask 2 identification. Can you help me in that?
do i need to link it to my company ? I got the id last week, but ABRS keeps asking to apply it or there will be penalties.

Sorry to hear you were having issues Daniel - you may need to contact ABRS (Business Registry Services) to see what the issue may be.

After saying my identity strength is strong ..it didn't move on to getting the ID number
