Luke Garrard is probably the best opposition manager I have seen in my many years of being a Notts County fan. He is true class and always open and honest. His team gave their all today - pushed us all the way and the BW fans will be rightly proud of them and most of all him. In the end Notts took the spoils, and I hope we can finish the job at Wembley, but I hope he can take BW up next season.

They was thinking a 2 goal gap was good enough and they got it wrong. There's nothing wrong with what they did or how they play its football and we would have still won the match if it was 2mins added or 20mins we just wanted that late winner.
I think that Borehamwood deserves a bigger fanbase and big investment to make them the club that they deserve to be. The potential they have in the players and the club is there for everybody to see. I wish you good luck in the future.

As a Solihull Moors fan, I can also admit to being a secret Boreham Wood fan thanks to this man. He literally lives and breaths every single kick of the game. Luke loves football and you can see the emotion as he speaks. I was absolutely rooting for you all. But, what a club and we'll mix it together again next season.

Time wasting is a ever growing problem of football & what is frustrating is when officials only add the obligatory 3 mins on for substitutions with no extra for time wasting & other add 8 to 9 minutes. No consistency is what frustrates fans. As a natural must say well done Notts County, runners up , you deserve your place at Wembley
Seems a reasonable bloke. TBF Notts should have been 3 up by the time Borehamwood scored their first but such is life. You certainly have a well drilled side and despite what conceding 3 goals suggests, a good defence that worked very hard.

Good manager and I kind of understand his disappointment but to be fair besides the long throws you didn’t really offer that much.
When you employ gamesmanship as part of your tactics, there will always be that opportunity it comes back around and bites you. When the ref is having to walk your players off, when you see his arm in the air, adding time because your players have been told to slow the game/go to ground, you know its coming. The board went up showing +7 minutes. We scored our 2nd on 96:05. Made no odds that according to you an extra minute on the 7 was played, as nothing happened. I really feel for your fans. Had you had the balls to play the game rather than the refs watch, I believe you would have seen the game out beaten us. But....football won in the end.

Nearly an honest interview, but the reality is, that time wasting from minute 10 of normal time, put BW into extra time. Lesson not learnt, as added minutes were added to both 15 minute halves, and it proved costly in the end. Playing for a penalty shoot-out was not the right option. Good team, good manager, bad tactics after being gifted 2 goals. Great game for BT Sport and the neutrals at home. COYP, one more victory to secure a deserved promotion.

to achieve this game against a team with massive riches compared to the wood is something to build on. Notts county like Wrexham are a league above but what they Wrexham and today county have achieved is nothing because if those 2 had the starting point Boreham wood had they wouldn't have faired as well.

County have had their fair share of shit refs mate. Countless amounts. The ref was poor for both sides. But to be honest no way was that a penalty for us
