    Great video. I've had an issue with my big toe for 18 months, to me it sounds like I've got Limitus. I can bend it and move it, but its sore quite abit. I worry it'll never be right again

    Thanks for the vid. I have Hallux Limitus and my doctor kept saying no podiatrist would be able to do anything about it. Now I know why -- b/c there is no code for it. Thanks!

    I have Hallux limitus and I want to find a way to keep running. I know it’s not promising but it’s really important to me.

      If it's important enough to continue running, it's also important enough to figure out how.

    Thank you for this video.
    I injured my Right big toe many years ago in a yoga class going from headstand into Chaturanga.
    I just let my toe heel without any physical therapy.
    Many years later, I ended up with a stress fracture on my fourth metatarsal on my right foot .
    Could that stress fracture have been caused from compensating by rolling to the outside edge of my foot when walking because of some limited range of motion in my big toe?

    Got diagnosed with Limitus. Got special inserts. My big toe is stiff and still hurts a year later. Makes me so sad because walking is my favorite activity. 😢

      I can only imaging how demoralizing it must be to still have pain even though you have tried to seek help from your doctor.

    How long does it usually take to develop hallux limitus?

    • @DocOnTheRun
      @DocOnTheRun  Год назад

      Depends on the cause, activity level and factors contributing to the joint mechanics.
