- This short how to video details how to convert an existing black and white logo into a small stencil using Cameo Silhouette software. The logo we are working on will be cut out of self adhesive vinyl and used to electro etch a knife makers mark onto his blades. The same process can be used for any small stencils.

I purchased adhesive shelf paper at Target. Cheap as chips, and works a treat. That way you can make a larger field around the logo and not spend as much time and take less care masking it.
Do you think this is better than making the Dura-Film stencils?
No its a different animal. Most of the blade etching I do is larger and much deeper etched. For very small details like makers marks Dura Film would probably work better
@@DIYeasycrafts thanks for the reply 👍🏻
Hi! Thank you for the video! Could you please link or describe the spesific stencil material that you are using? Im having problems finding one that is thin enough so that my Silhouette will cut it fully without loosing detail or having problems with pealing the pieces out. Thank you in advance :)
I use self adhesive vinyl from stylecraft but have also used the Silhouette brand. You will get better results by upgrading the cameos cutting knife. You then have to play around a but with depth of cut and speed.
@@DIYeasycrafts Thank you for the fast reply! What blade would you recomend? I have the multi blade that comes with the cameo 3
@@Ubongo100 I use the premium blade. Got it from Michaels art supply but you can also get them online. It has a blue cap.
@@DIYeasycrafts Thank you! I cant seem to find that here in Norway, but I will keep looking. Thank you: )
