very nice to see a full tea procedure from another school! Thank you for sharing. The music was rather somber, is that the typical ambiance in Enshuu-style thin tea?

Thank you. I am pleased that you mention the music. Usually during a service of tea, we listen to the sounds of the kettle, tapping sounds, pouring sounds, etc. and these become the music. However, on a video this is not easily expressed.
That is why I chose this music. The composer is famous for his music, enacting silence rather than sound. His music brings silence to the foreground and eliminates unnecessary sounds from our minds and ears. I left the tapping and pouring sounds in as well, in an attempt to create a tranquil, silent and relaxing atmosphere.

This is either for or completely NOT for people with OCD. For a moment i actually thought you had OCD and that it wasn't just part of the ritual .
I actually do not like le Daisu Temae , i find it pretentious and pompous , i like the simple Wabi Cha Shoin Stylle. Give me an old Chakago, an old cracked Sometsuke Kogo , a blood red and/or ivory white Raku bowl a raven black Natsume , a Mushikui tea scoop , and a simple old iron kettle suspended over the Irori and i'm in heaven .
But i have to say Sir, your mastery is phenomenal .

Thank you very much! I really appreciate the comment.
Have a look at some of my newer videos too. These are more in the style of our tradition, the Enshu school with more relaxed and calm utensils.

      Weak
