3 years later my Nexus 5 still works buttery smooth with no problems whatsoever. it's gonna be really hard to switch to the new HTC nexus that's about to launch.
Salty Candy it's super fast after 2years 1month of my use. It still goes 1day with Wifi on throughout the day. I like the camera too.For 90 dollars it's a steal,if it's new. I would be careful if it's second hand.

It is great to hear the battery is getting better! I ended up getting the Moto X for now at least because I need the battery life, and I'm really really enjoying the phone. I know the specs don't seem to be in line with the big guns, but it is so smooth, and really handles everything pretty well so far.

I'm not in a position to buy a phone outright. So it's either this or the Note 3. Surprisingly, there isn't much difference in the monthly payment. Just shows what a rip off these companies are. I love rooting and pretty much any other type of tweeking with Android and the Nexus is the best at this by far. I took a leap and got rid of my Galaxy Note 2, and couldn't be happier that I did.

How about a "NEW" Nexus 5 because nexus devices are named after the screen size and a Nexus 6? Google could easily compete with devices like the Note 3.

I'm definitely getting the nexus 5. Had the OG Note then went to Iphone 5. After about 4 months I've decided to go back to Android. My only concern is battery life. I loved the battery on the Iphone.
I know the HTC One has a better battery life compared to the Nexus 5. I had the One and now have the 5 and I get a full days battery life out of the 5.
God dammit, i just ordered mine and i just heard that it doesn't support a micro sd card. 16GB is way to low for a smartphone unless you're not a heavy user as me.
Well i just sold my iphone 5 16gb. I must say, the space gets filled quite quickly. My music alone is around 4gb. If you want to get top games like gta san andreas or MC4 w/e then your space will get filled very fast.

I have to fully agree with the comments about getting better since release. I bought the Nexus 5 fully aware that it was not the best phone on the market (even in the same price range) but because I was confident that the stock android OS and quick updates would provide a better experience in the long run. Because of running stock android you do need to go and find a good set of supporting apps for tasks and information that gets taken for granted on big brand smartphones, but in the end you get to choose exactly what goes onto it.

I actually ordered a Nexus 5 yesterday, and it's only now that I noticed Marques had revisited the phone. I'm revealed that all updates were for the better. Will be interesting to see whether it has the new or the old hardware. My guess is on the latter.

Battery life improved probably because of the ART runtime. From what I've read online, it has improved for quite a lot of people after they turned on ART. Nexus 5 is an amazing device.
Actually, the serial numbers, 310, 311, etc, they only show when the phone was made. I actually have a 311, but I have the smaller speaker holes, rattling buttons, and a non-flush SIM tray. Rather them changing their build process, it's just slight variations as that's what happens in the manufacturing process. Still, best phone I've ever had.
Marques, I just wanna say that your videos are great. You actually give us - the viewers - great content on which we can learn good stuff from. Not like other tech reviewers, which throw at us useless reviews and useless things in the new tech world. Keep on what you're doing, 'cause you do it well.
I just purchased the nexus 7 tablet, having recently never touched Android. I am amazed. It is brilliant. I have a few apple devices but nothing compared to it. That's just my opinion of course.
Marques I am surprised that you don't use folders?. I like to keep widgets on the home screens and then use the dock for apps in folders. Group the phone functions, social , games etc
I got this phone this past Sunday from T-Mobile and I absolutely love it, battery hasn't died on me it lasts me all day even though I've only gotten to use it for like three days lol the software is great and just everything else is pretty perfect
