Not all heroes wear capes! I just got an 1100 LT-20 from my grandfather and it's dirty! This is my reference video! Thanks!

Glad it helped. Great tradition spending time with your grandson working with and learning about firearms

Thank you so much for the detailed video! I just finished restoring a 60s era 1100 and couldn't have done it without your videos.

    I'm a hunter in Japan
Information on how to maintain the Remington 1100, which I use regularly, is very helpful in studying because gun regulations are strict in Japan.
    thank you

The carrier isn't engaging the shell stop. Is there a special way to install the lifter or carrier?

I did a separate video disassembling the rest of the shotgun, hopefully this will help.

What is the trigger guard made out of? Polymer, steel, aluminum? I can’t find any answer online.

My assembly is plastic or polymer of some type, definitely looks to be a heat model piece. This may be why Remington does not want you to take it fully apart as it will probably not go back together

How would I replace the hammer spring? When I pull the trigger on mine the hammer just slowly moves forward. Any suggestions?

Hey Phil, I believe that spring in housed in the portion of the trigger assembly that is designed to not be taken apart, large pin through it that has been mushroomed over. From my understanding Remington has said to contact them if you need repairs. I realize this doesn't help any of us:( Unfortunately I would not recommend grinding out that pin, I don't know that you will be able to find a replacement piece if Remington has said don't take it apart. There may be but I would be surprised, sorry I don't have better news. If you cant see a physical broken spring in there may spray/rinse with wd40 to flush any grime that might have built up, may just be obstructed.

I saw a video a few yrs ago where theres a mod to the carrior latch,,police mod, military mod, compition mod,,,im not sure..anyways the silver latch was longer to make it easier to hit it for faster reloads.?do have any videos on this mod..??

Hey Jerry, I think I have seen the same video a while back. Unfortunately I have not done that modification. I did do a quick google search but wasn't able to find the part either. Glad you enjoyed the video. Good luck with the mod, I suspect using this video with the new part you should be easily able to install the part. Let me know how it goes.

Thanks Shawn, I appreciate the feedback about the lighting, always a struggle but I will be more mindful on the next one
