Chuseok, a traditional Korean holiday, is coming soon. During Chuseok, families gather after a long time and enjoy spending time together. However, the reality is that holidays are not always a joyful time for everyone. Today, let's talk about why some Korean people find holidays difficult. 📌 Please note that a PDF file is not available for this video. 📌 This video is available in a single playback speed. 🎧 You can catch my podcast not just on RUclips but also on Spotify! Something similar happens in Mexico and I believe in many other countries. I have always seen the women in my family doing most of the things during holidays, and sadly I have normalize. Now that you mention it, instead of holidays most women get more housechores to do. This year I'm planning to help my family more during the holidays. (I'm a first born daughter and I suck at cooking so I always tend to run away from everything related to the kitchen haha) Thanks for the video, it's super useful and I could review a lot of vocab. Hope you're enjoying your holidays and taking a well deserved rest ❤
As you said, I think other countries are going through the same hardships. But the good news is that things are getting better little by little. I’m also the eldest daughter, so I completely understand how you feel. Thank you so much for leaving such a thoughtful comment.🥹 I heard that this weekend is Mexico’s Independence Day. One of my students told me about it. I’ll try to talk about Korea’s Independence Day sometime! I’m so glad that my podcast was helpful. If there’s a topic you’d like to hear about, let me know. I’ll use it as a reference when making videos.😘
There are already English subtitles in the video. If you want a little bigger subtitles, there are English subtitles provided by RUclips! Thank you for listening to my podcast❤️
yes, the same here in Vietnam in New Year's Day. Women are really tired because they have to spend almost time doing housework at husband's house. So we hate New Year's Day more and more...
There is a rather depressing solution to the issue of south korean women bearing most chores and cooking work during holidays .. not getting born in the first place… as a result of people getting married less and less an having kids less and less .. its already happening in the population decline. Nothing wrong with not wanting kids, (that would be me, for instance) but when its due to lack of choice thats indeed depressing

Thank you for Make videos ❤❤
