What could possibly go wrong having a 79 year old instructor training a 73 year old pilot in a very complex twin engined aircraft that reportedly hadn’t flown since February?! I ask you? It was going wrong before take off with the exchanges between the pilot with the ATC?! No surprises here.
@@AlanToon-fy4hg Will be interested to hear the NTSB’s report on aircraft maintenance & log books? (That plane’s generally in the $15,000-$20,000 for annual maintenance), we’ll see?????? Best, R
@rolacook222 It seems to me that with the aging out of the general aviation fleet, there are more and more technical problems occurring with aircraft. The crash video showing the plane hitting the power lines, loosing half of the left wing and bursting into flames, showed that the landing gear was down. I think there needs to a real discussion not just on aging pilots but on aging airplanes as well.
@@AlanToon-fy4hg I do not know all things, but as a 76 year old pilot my thought are: (Opinion only), the 73 year old pilot was not qualified or proficient in any regard as to attempting to fly this plane. From his sloppy handling of the “mike” with ATC before take off to the crash? My guess is he was way behind what that plane was doing & required for active participation? I’ll bet it was un-trimmed and out of flying neutrality in every regard. MY two bit opinion is: he should have been flying a Cessna 152, not a Cessna 400 series twin engine aircraft. As for the 79 year old woman instructor, it goes beyond words to even imagine as the net results speak for themselves?! She did NOTHING to save the plane or their lives, (for whatever reason)????????????? Best to you. R
I dont see anything wrong. As long as their Medical Certificate is current !! and I am pretty sure they are current as per Part 61. They are not flying a commercial airplane Part 129 and Part 121.
So very sad. I heard the actual conversation between the pilot and the ACT on a RUclips video. It sounds like a combination of errors. The commentator said that this model of Cessna is very challenging to fly.

And a 47 year old aircraft. All were too old to fly.

Dear news: Please consult with some that can explain the difference between a small plane and a cabin class twin. Thank you.

I feel so sorry for the mommy

it's relieving to hear that all the victims were elderly. they lived longer lives than many. RIP 🙏
That's not a relieving fact... A loss to their children and grandchildren.
it is a consolation to me that young people did not lose their lives in this accident. that's what i meant
@@hoboeyjobi7020Seriously. . . Why can't you just say your condolences to the beloveds of the people who lost their lives.
