I love that skaters of this caliber can be such goofballs. I know figure skating is a very competitive sport, but it makes my heart warm since it seems some of the nicest, friendliest people from all over the world go on to represent their countries. It makes the figure skating community appear so accepting and nice. Maybe this can be attributed to the fact that the real fight in figure skating is against yourself--if you can't evolve, if you can't push yourself to go further, there's only so much you can achieve. Sure, you feel the struggle to be competitive and be good (better than your opponents), but it's more about helping yourself get there. I think that's why figure skaters appreciate each other--you never get to the top until you work yourself to the bone to make that ascent. They respect how each skater's individual effort allows them to do what other can't. PS I think they're all such sweet people because they're still basically kids in adult bodies. That human skate train towards the end was so adorable. :)
the pandemic really interrupted bonding and interactions :( i bet yuzuru misses doing stuff like this with people who love his sport just as much as he does more than anyone, especially because he takes covid regulations so seriously
All Japanese take the regulations strictly, not only during/for Covid. They're known among the most discipline society. Japan is quite strict with health regulations and not only Japan actually.
I like not just Yuzuru, it's the atmosphere of whole figure skating , everyone like best friend of each other and just playing around at the playground 🤣 what I can conclude is Yuzuru is really a social butterfly 🤣
