AMAZING that after the storm in Houston proved to be as serious as you assessed, it looks like you were the ONLY now-cast to cover this!! VERY IMPRESSIVE, especially given that you took time from your vacation to cover this. This storm was extremely bad, 4 deaths, windows broken out of very tall buildings, mayor telling the whole city to stay home indefinitely. Why was Max Velocity the ONLY one to cover this? Answer: That's why I'm subscribed! Great job once again Max!

@@christophercotton9048 There were 2 confirmed EF1 tornadoes as well. One went over my sisters house from Cypress going down West Road took out all the power line towers that are now twisted metal.

I cannot thank you enough. My Mom and I were at Sams on 290/West. We turned onto Hwy 6 south and I got the tornado warning on my phone. I pulled up your channel and the first thing I heard you say was there was a tornado at Bridgeland just to our west. We tried to get to my sister's house which was closer to us than our home. We didn't make it. We ended up turning around and taking shelter at a gas station. The trees snapped in half at the gas station and the trees at the chic fil a across the street snapped in half as well. If it hadn't been for your reporting we may have driven right into it.
I was in the tornado in Cypress TX. I was on the freeway and it moved my car. I was on Hwy290 and live in Hempstead. We had 110mph winds reported in Hempstead area

I was on queenston when some wind picked my car up and moved it a lane over. I was only driving 30 mph. I made a right on west rd and saw it again really close to 290
@@jvinclarence3977 WOW! We almost drove right into it and turned onto West trying to get to my sisters house and it was bad, we turned around and rode it out at the gas station on West/hwy 6. Snapped trees right in front of us.
For all of you that were in these storms, first I hope you're all safe. 2nd, if you cellphone continued working and/or were commenting during the live, whose your cellphone company? Here in Florida, once a hurricane gets close to us, my phone doesn't want to work, I can't keep up to date on the storms around me.

At 2:36:15 that live cam facing walmart is where it passed as soon as you took it down! I was in that parking lot all the power went out

@@brianwalsh8128 100 mph+ winds struck Houston. It went pitch dark and sound like a train coming directly towards me.
I am in cypress and close to Jersey village, geeeezzzz it was a wild ride! This is one to remember and just got power back on last night. Some in my family were still out today and finally got power restored tonight. My daughters house only a few minutes away from us had my grandkids trampoline fly 50 feet up into the power lines and explode the trampoline. My 9 year old grandson cried in fear as he witnessed that!! The 30-40 minute fear is one thing but the aftermath is always worse as yr without power and phone service😵💫😳
This storm just blew through me a few hours ago in central texas. The first tornado warning for that first cell popped up just after it passed through the area into Round Top.
NWS Just confirmed it was a tornado in Cypress, the power went out and i wouldve had no clue what was coming. Im so grateful it missed my family.
Definitely felt like a tornado in Galleria. Went pitch black and I could feel my apartment building buckling under the pressure

I was on I59 (I49) south a little more than a mile North of 610 at 6:35 pm and the tornado crossed right in front of me right over the freeway headed east.
Out in Conroe, power went out at almost this exact time or maybe around 6:20 we just got lots of rain and wind. So glad nothing happened out here.

I personally want to thank you for training on how to read these radars. I have Radar Omega and noticed the rotation before the warning was issued. As I was gathering my family, they issued the warning. Not even 5 minutes after, it got extremely dark and the wind instantly picked up. We ran into the bathroom to take cover. The tornado touched down literally 6 miles from my house. We went 3 days without power and mobile connection, but there are still people without power as of today. That storm was extremely terrifying. Thank you so much for EVERYTHING you do! 🙏🏾❤🙏🏾

A lady died when a tree fell on her car. They decided to leave her in the car and said they would remove her body the next day. How horrible she was in her driveway so her poor children four boys one infant still breastfeeding who will not beat. That is horrible they are just leaving her body there.
This is real, I was in the tornado warning, power outage, 2/3 days later the power comes back on, I was in the 1 third of Harris county where the power was out.

I am profoundly sad. Max, I think your work is terrific and I enjoy watching your broadcasts. I also like to chat along while watching content providers and therein lies the rub. I was watching this show as a recently proud paying member when I got disciplined by a moderator. I didn’t even see it happen and have no clue the offense for which I got the Timeout Hammer. When I inquired about it later, a Moderator said “just let be water under the bridge.” Unfortunately, I take such things personally because I try to be overly respectful of channel rules and I refrain from inappropriate language (in life as well as online). I have cancelled my membership due to your over-aggressive Moderators. You know, this is a customer service business and losing customers is bad business. I know my pittance of a membership won’t make or break you, and many will find this perhaps childish, but I dislike bad customer service at any level and choose to spend my money elsewhere. Dang, I’m going to miss this channel. Seriously.

Tons of wind damage reported in this area. I live right down the the road off of baker cypress and 529.
My wife says all our fencing as well as our neighbors was knocked down and power outage is absolute in this area. Such a bad time to be out of state for work.😢

I enjoy your streams overall, but I desperately wish you'd mute your audio when noisily sucking on that water bottle-it's aggressively unpleasant sounding. Many streamers mute their audio when eating or drinking as a courtesy to their viewers who find the sounds off-putting.
